Hopefully some of you had a chance to join us for our longest radio promo yet in which 7 live DJ's were featured between 11/09/2010-11/11/2010. The promo officially ended at 1:30AM EST on 11/11/2010 with a total of ~36 hours of live DJ's, contests, trivia, chat and fun. Our peak was 164 listeners with over 400 listeners in total meaning all listeners will be rewarded 40GB's of upload credit! The listener count started dropping earlier in the evening of 11/11/2010 and hovered between 120-140 for most of the night so we called it quits as our live DJ's were tired and falling asleep at their turntables!

If you didn't join us in IRC you missed where all the action was as our DJ's had a great time interacting with the listeners and our members enjoyed many hours of partying, chatting and meeting other ST'ers from around the world. The IRC Idle Bonus was also raised to 8MB an hour, for the promotion, meaning you could have received an extra 300MB just for joining! We had about 100 new members join IRC and at least 50 of you seemed to have stayed, so we welcome you and hope you stick around!

IRC is also the only place you could have received prizes for the frequent contests and trivia we had throughout the promo! We have tutorials to help you setup your client, register your nick and even a java chat if you're too confused. If you use firefox, the chatzilla plugin makes things even easier with just the click of a button needed to connect. All the details are available on the chat page.

We'll be continuing to improve the radio experience so please continue to tune in whenever possible and check out the radio site for news, schedules, stream info or just to check out our DJ lineup. You can also view the last 10 songs played if you're wondering about something you heard while listening.  Our DJ's are refreshed and ready to entertain once again!

Help Wanted

We're constantly striving to make ST Radio better than ever; but we need your help!

We are looking for 3 classes of helpers. If you think you fit one of the profiles below, please leave a reply in this thread with your "qualifications" including any equipment you use, prior experience, what you could bring to the table (no pun intended.. maybe a lil) and any stations you're currently working on.

DJ's: Any applicants are required to use turntables, mixers or other DJ equipment. The only applicants we will accept for those using playlists or song queues are those who have a specific show or program lined up that involves the listeners in an interactive way such as a request hour, new music program, call in show, contests or any number of things. We are NOT looking for people who simply play music from their collection. The most important aspect of this project is to make it as interactive as possible, whether that be by having live DJ's or interesting programs. Regardless of what your plans are, you MUST have a microphone and be willing to use it regularly. Otherwise, why should people listen to our station when they can get the same thing from their media player.

Program Directors: Any applicants are to be friendly, people oriented members who have ample time on their hands to get to know the DJ's and work with them to produce schedules and airtimes. This person will also be in charge of radio promotion and advertising through our Dedicated Radio Website as well as coordinating between the DJ's, Administrators and Audio Engineers. This job will require you to work with DJ's and other radio personnel on a daily and weekly basis to keep the radio and its schedule organized.

Audio Engineers: Any applicants must be friendly, people oriented members, proficient with audio editing programs and working with audio in general. This person will be required to make various audio clips including promotional advertisements, station announcements and other types of audio. They will also be working with DJ's to create soundbites as well as segways, intros, and outros. The time required for this responsibility will vary although you will be able to work on your own time in most cases.
