  9. "It wasn't a time so far beyond the grasp of memory. The time where I felt the tremendous power of my heritage," spoke the elder Saiyan as numerous children huddle before him. Their ebony eyes gazing at him as each word lured them into a trance. "You see my dear younglings, we, the Saiyan people, are at our strongest beneath the Full Moon's embrace. Of course, you already are aware of such knowledge. It isn't rare or secretive amongst us as we all plan our battles around it, but there is something they do not tell you." The Saiyan released a deep sigh before reclining into his seat as darken hues glanced at the waning moon above them. The crackling of the fire pit breaking the silence as one of the children called for this unknown information. The child's voice guided the elderly Saiyan's attention back to his tale of his very first transformation. "Let me start at the beginning..." His voice trailed off as he began to recite the details of his first transformation.

  11. Deiku was no more than a child as his pod crashed upon a dreaded wasteland forgotten by the natives. The elder saiyans at this time were fully aware of the lunar cycle of this Desert Planet. They had spent time studying it as to pluck its resources fully and without time wasted. The metallic maw opened its jaws exposing the youngling to the planet's harsh climate. The Sun's rays beaming down upon such pale flesh, yet a cry did not leave his lips. Instead, the brave saiyan child climbed from the warmth of his pod. His feet digging into the warm touch of sand as ebony locks shielded vulnerable eyes from the blinding illuminance of the world. The was Sun's time in the heavens was slowly cascading to its daily end riddling the Heavens with a mixture of colors. It was a sight beyond words, but the Saiyan did not appreciate it too fondly. The day young and the natives lingered by with increasing curiosity. It perhaps was their first time in dealing with a Saiyan, and to their knowledge, the child meant no harm. Each step the child took, the natives waited for any sign of aggression.

  13. Hours had drifted by aimlessly and the Saiyan was busy fiddling with a rather pointy plant. The child had not seen such a plant before, yet was quickly angered with the several needles jabbing into his hand as he inspected it. The natives had to clasp their hand upon their mouths to stifle their laughter. A laughter that would soon be quickly replaced with screams as the Saiyan had completely halted his actions with the plant. All the Saiyan youngling could do was gaze up at the sky at the giant moon reflecting the departed Sun's light. A single native summoned up the courage to inspect the child, yet his life shall be the first to experience a saiyan's heritage.

  15. It was an odd sensation coursing throughout his frame as he felt bone and flesh expand. A rapid popping sound emitted from within his tiny body as fur swiftly emerged upon once smooth flesh. The native fell backwards from the sudden alteration of the child. "What is this thing?!" He called out to his beloved companions who waited on the hill's side. Their gaze peeking above the hill of sand as the fallen native scurried to his feet. It was a primal feeling beyond a toddler's understanding as this ape's hand grabbed the fleeing being. The Great Ape was not aware of his newly founded strength and had accidently crushed the entity within his palm. Crimson liquid oozed almost endlessly from his palm. The lifeless body pelting against the sands as the Ape pounded upon his sturdy chest. A deafening roar rendered silence asunder as energy flowed freely from his gaping maw. Those fleeing held the swiftest of death as they did not know pain. Their existence ended the moment the beam of energy touched them. Their bodies akin to ashes only contributed to the sandy lands beneath the ape.

  17. The Saiyan younglings all had gasped at the power mentioned by the elder. Some even mimicked the details as a few pounded upon their chest. "You see, the moon vanished before me. I awoke in a field of blood and ash. Though I had no memories of the brief transformation besides the few moments of sanity. My body was aware of the power as it trembled in excitement from the experience. It is only then do we, Saiyans, truly know of our heritage." His words vanished as the children were too occupied with their rough housing as great apes. Deiku could only laugh a bit as he watched them.
