Bakemonogatari

Opened like it was gonna be about sum fuckn shit. Maybe the first few episodes were. The dynamic between the main characters combined w the art style was like borderline 10/10. Then it turned into endless ecchi shit. Less about interesting character interactions and provocative backstory and more / almost entirely about the protag being shocked at how lewd all the situations he finds himself in are. That lack of story combined with the extended cringe of stuff like watching a middle-schooler get DP'd by "invisible snakes" makes the show seem not worth finishing.
