- Ame vs Star-Snug
- Rule for the Round:
- * The Map is: Toyko Imperial Palace
- * This is a 3 vs 3 rather than the previous 2 vs 2
- As per the ruling, Hanno the Knight was ruled OOT. So the assumption will be a 3 vs 2 match (well 3 vs 1 really)
- Due to how weird that makes it, I'll just have to summarize my thoughts rather than go line by line like I previously did, since Hanno's section would be considered invalid.
- Ame's First Response:
- As per standard, the first post is primarily split between a stat post and a general argument about how the battle would go. Ame argues that the blunt force output from Snug's team wouldn't be able to get through the Mechas or Spider-Man's durability. Then Ame brings up that Snug has argued that Tariq/Hannos' attack would struggle to harm the tier setter, so it would likely fail to injure any of his team.
- Ame then moves from defense to offense and argues that his team outclasses Snug's team in notable elements such as piercing damage, lifting strength disadvantages, or lack of electrical resistance. Ame then argues his team has notably better combat speed and general travel speed than Snug's team, in addition Spider-Man's spider-sense which lets him avoid attacks/sense danger well in advance.
- The next section has to do with Ame's team's visual abilities like the IR scanners, X-Ray vision, and danger sense. The last point before the conclusion is noting that Ame's team is a 3 vs 2, as all of his characters are capable of fighting, while only two of Snug's team members can fight
- Snug's First Counter response:
- As mentioned before, I will have to ignore the arguments regarding Hanno. While it does put Snug at a disadvantage, Tariq is still able to win by killing Ame's VIP. So I will mostly be judging how realistic either that is or how realistic it is for Tariq to take down Ame's team.
- Snug's opening covers how Tariq has hero's luck, letting him manipulate fate into his favor and giving them a large amount of passive benefits. Additionally, Tariq has a slew of secondary powers related to this; such as ESP, Divine Knowledge, and a danger sense. Snug then goes into how the Light can negate powers and abilities less pure than itself, which includes things like lightning, communications, or energy attacks. Finally, Tariq is capable of healing someone even from attacks that erase things from existence.
- Next, Snug goes over physicals and attacks used for the battle. As Hanno is OoT, I will focus on Tariq. Going by Snug's post, Tariq is primarily a spellcaster-oriented fighter. Using magic to heal injuries, summon barriers (that can be used offensively), fire attacks, and can use chanted magic to cast wide-ranging AoE spells.
- Finally, for the counter post. Snug argues that Tariq's power output is rather immense. Able to fire energy bolts, generate barriers, and have heat output in the 5k degree range. Additionally, the beams fired by Tariq doesn't trigger Spider-Man's spider-sense.
- Further Responses:
- From here the main issue is that a lot of the thread is focused on Hanno's role as the aggro-tank to Tariq's ranged spam. The issue is that Hanno is now OoT, meaning that it's just Tariq, who now has to either beat all three of Ame's team at once or kill Gordon really fast.
- As argued Snug does an excellent job at selling their characters, but ultimately I don't see Tariq being able to one shot Gordon nor being able to wipe out Ame's team. Ultimately, the number disadvantage means he has to remain purely on the backpedal with shields, which just leaves their VIP open or they run the risk of being caught off guard. Ame having three attackers, each having a viable means of harming Snug's teams, ultimately just gives them a far more realistic and viable win condition than Snug's team.
- So Ame wins this in my mind.
