  1. [10:05] Dantalion says, "The fuck is that shit..."
  2. [10:06] Soliael Huitzilopochtli says, "...You know."
  3. [10:06] Soliael Huitzilopochtli says, "When you reach Archonhood, I'll be terribly surprised if you're still the same."
  4. [10:07] Soliael Huitzilopochtli says, "Out of all of them, you're way more..Human. Hah."
  5. [10:07] Dantalion says, "Gahahaha! Because I know what you humans really are."
  6. [10:07] Soliael Huitzilopochtli asks, "...Which is?"
  7. [10:08] Dantalion asks, "Tell me. What is it being... human?"
  8. [10:12]
  9. Is there some strange sense of clarity going on here with Dantalion? The Sarradian's incredulous gaze turns into something a little more suspicious- narrowing steadily upon the features of Dantalion. "I thought that you knew what we humans truly are...That is why I asked you." However, maybe...This was just a rare experience of some sort. Or perhaps, Dantalion is simply being Dantalion. In any event, a hand brushes over..
  10.
  11. "Being a human starts with our anatomy. But as far as feelings wise goes..." He says while trailing off. "Experiencing a variety of emotion, rage, happiness, lust...It's all strange. It's all 'human' or so they say." He shrugs. "In any case, that's not a question that I can answer because even I don't know what it means to being 'human'. There...Is no right answer, honestly, outside of what you see and feel."
  12. (Soliael Huitzilopochtli)
  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14.
  15. [10:22] Clearly, he doesn't know what it means to be a Sarradian. However, Soliael had the characteristics of at least what the demon assumed to be Gehennan; therefore believing the lady to be human.
  16.
  17. "I've heard it many times. How men sometimes refer to demons as being demons, yet sometimes dubbed as almost being human. Or at least, they pretend to," said the demon telepathically, as if to scrutinize every corner of the Sarradian's brain.
  18.
  19. "However, when confronted what is it that makes them human. Some explain the nature of emotion, order, chaos, or even the capability of having sex. Humans, after countless encounters and conversations with them, I've found out that they indeed are inclined to fall prey upon their emotions; and that includes fear and arrogance. Thereby proving you right.
  20.
  21. By mentioning that I feel more human, it piqued my curiosity. Perhaps I'm reaching my very goal, and that is understanding humanity. Humanity, oh' how much I've come to loathe their sense of superiority.
  22.
  23. It is as if by dubbing someone more human outside their race makes them superior, or even better.
  24.
  25. In the end, they're far more chaotic than it needs to be. Fragile and dubious, am I wrong?"
  26. (Dantalion)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28.
  29. [10:24] Soliael Huitzilopochtli says, "..."
  30. [11:24]
  31. The sudden invasion of his own mind shocks him. And the sudden unravelling of Dantalion's own thought process does more than what he could have normally expected. He doesn't want to say that he had known the Demon for nothing but his degeneracy and foolishness- but perhaps, it was his way of reaching out towards the humans. Because the each of them are terribly fragile to words. Because the each of them are so small- so light to hold, so easy to crush. The sudden silence comes with him being baffled, his own incredulous gaze faltering...The suspicions and weariness seemingly confirmed. There was more to this demon. Much, much more.
  32.
  33. "Why is it that you wish to understand humanity? What is it about our mortality that piques your interest?- how different each of us are? How we have varying potentials, ambitions, and more? Or...Is there more? He was always curious of the demons. Always weary, for he believedeach of them to have an ulterior motive. A desire not just to free these lands out of the human control..
  34.
  35. But to take over entirely.
  36.
  37. "Falling to one's own emotion isn't just a human thing...It's merely magnified under a scope because of the 'chaos' and 'order' foolishness that's happening around the lot of us. What it means to be human truly has no definition- outside of anatomy, atleast, that is what I believe. But in any event...I think we both take it a little too...literally. Being human is simply a figure of speech that occurs when you make someone feel a certain way that you shouldn't. You...As a demon, making us laugh. Making us cry. Guiding us as if you were naturally put upon that pedestal and caring. That is, -if- you even care.." His mind is a bunch of mess. Whispers and jumbled thoughts, chaos and pieces of the puzzle that don't fit, but are simply crammed in place.
  38.
  39. He's somewhere between a learned scientist and someone who merely wants to explore. "Though, it is as you say we are. We humans are fragile, our entire existence is based around this one little flame...This one little thing bundled up within fifty or so years that can be snuffed. So, while I feel as if many of us are foolish in being chaotic and rushing, it isn't without reason. We don't have years upon years like you demons. We're small, simple, curious, and finite." Especially upon this island, where appearing to be any of those often makes way of becoming an easy target.
  40.
  41. "Though, some of us are more successful than others. Capable of evolving into...Something different. Sometimes better. Sometimes worse. All is in the eyes of the beholder." A gaze drifts to Tinkerer and averts. Palms press against palms and soon, out of his own satchel, he withdraws a book with several drawings.
  42. (Soliael Huitzilopochtli)
  43. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  44.
  45. [11:44] It creeped and reached out to his mind, as if a vague, intangible, miasma of darkness whom directly whispers to his soul - though one can always easily resist.
  46.
  47. "Some might say that, indeed, there is no clear definition or guideline for what is it to be truly human. Perhaps it is simply magnified under a scope because of order and chaos that binds us. However, you have a guideline to morals and ethics. Humans learn it from such a young age, age of vulnerability, taken care of by mothers or fathers if they're not lost.
  48.
  49. Do not kill.
  50.
  51. Do not hurt the innocent.
  52.
  53. Give to the poor.
  54.
  55. Do not lie.
  56.
  57. Live with kindness.
  58.
  59. Order above all else.
  60.
  61. Many among you envision a utopia of freedom and peace. Freedom and peace that requires the proper moral and ethics. Freedom and peace that requires order. Order that then leads to countless wars and deaths. Order that clashes with chaos, leading to plague and infamy.
  62.
  63. When one is bound by chaos, the children of order then considers them outcasts. They're not human anymore, because they cannot follow the guidelines of morality. Therefore, they are called monsters, or perhaps, even demons.
  64.
  65. Sometimes, this leads to one being confused of their own identity. They will feel lost. They feel the need to prove themselves, they feel the need to find a place of belonging. An identity crisis, essentially.
  66.
  67. However, this leads to countless, chain of questions as to why? Why? Why? Why?
  68.
  69. Perhaps they indeed only try to find a way to take pleasure of their mortality. Because like what you said, they are mortals. So, they must take pleasure on life. And this pleasure, they mask with reason, reason they find logical, reason they can boast - order, maybe even chaos.
  70.
  71. Because being idle is a sin, no? It is a sin that both order and chaos loath.
  72.
  73. My quest, little one, is to expose the banality of men. But for what reason? Why?
  74.
  75. Perhaps I want them to ascend. Perhaps I want them to be free," he said, turning his head over toward Visionary.
  76.
  77. Or perhaps... dominance.
  78.
  79. However, it is not something he spoke out loud.
  80.
  81. And with that, he spread his wings to fly.
  82. (Dantalion)
  83. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  84.
  85. [11:48]
  86. Hearing talk of man and the positive aspects thereof in the background solicited an amused and unfocused chuckle. The administrator preoccupies himself with reading from a tome bound with an Archons' skin; it almost seems to writhe and wriggle between his clawed fingertips. Not once did he chime in or comment.
  87.
  88. Dantalion, as much as the Accursed appreciated him, was thought of as a child. It was better to let them form their own opinion of the world as it stands without interruption. Glowing purple eyes trawl page after page of esoteric, alien runes. Each of them drew his eye longer than the last.
  89.
  90. It was a puzzle.
  91.
  92. How many years had it been since this book had been passed to him? He could not recall. Somehow, however, it remained at the forefront of his thought in present day. The secrets it held were ancient and powerful; perhaps it was to be his Solomon's Key, the necessary tool required to finally piece together the truth of the ruins.
  93.
  94. If only things weren't so busy, these days.
  95.
  96. Between running the city on-and-off, the Mythic Dawn, and ensuring Tragedy's requests were seen to... Free time was scarce. At least now, in the moment, he found an opportunity to relax and study. Humorous that he'd been unable to find anything to do, just a few years ago...
  97.
  98. And here he was now, at the top of the ladder.
  99.
  100. (Visionary)
  101. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  102.
  103. [11:57]
  104. "The guidelines that you so speak of are not the same around the world. Gehenna is nothing like what you speak...From my own personal experiences. But in any matter, I understand what it is that you're trying to say, because it's true. The moment that we break through the mold and do something different, we become outcast and labeled as something else. And sometimes, although people might not see the wrong within any of it...We see it within ourselves." His gaze does not leave Tinkerer's being. He merely studies him, lips pressing together- a hand rubbing at his features, in what almost seemed to be idle shame.
  105.
  106. There was a point within life when he had lost everything. And then, the moment that someone had promised him the world- he clung. He clung to them so terribly, because they didn't ask questions about his methods, about his necessities....Instead, they allowed them. They molded him. Helped him become the man that he is today. Within the worst way.
  107.
  108. You are obsession. If becoming idle was a sin, then he had been damned the moment that he stepped foot out of Ezmara for the first time. Being lost, being called a monster, becoming what both order and chaos hate...It's strange. It's so different.
  109.
  110. "Do you really think that man is banal?" He questions, his gaze flickering to that of Dantalion. "That they cannot create their own...That they cannot do as they desire and make wonderful, even...impossible things?" His gaze upon Tinkerer falls.
  111.
  112. "I've seen a man create something with his bare hands. I've seen him fix things that cannot be fixed...Hold, what cannot be held. All of these things that you speak of are already here, Dantalion. They are already present within this world.." He slowly turns upon his heel.
  113.
  114. "Perhaps, you marveling at man is you desiring to become one yourself. Perhaps, you wanting to break them out of this little 'banality' that you speak of is because...You want this. The fleeting moments. The ability to savor something before it all goes away." He trails off, images fluttering within his own mind, memories dancing in and out- becoming evanescent as soon as they appear.
  115.
  116. "The joys of knowing that nothing lasts forever. Even your own life." Despite his own apparent shame, he chuckles and shakes his head- looking towards the sigil of power.
  117.
  118. "I suppose the next time we meet is simple. Sure, you gave me the answer but I want more...after all, it's within a human's nature to be greedy, yes? Ponder on this.." He says.
  119.
  120. "What do you want from us?" What does he desire after he pushes them out of their banality? Surely, it can't be 'nothing'. But for now, he simply watches the yokai fly off before heading back to the Sigil to drown within his studies.
  121. (Soliael Huitzilopochtli)
