  41. Guilds are typically divided into a three-tier system consisting of the Guildmaster, the S-Rank Mages, and the regular mages;
  42. ๐˜Ž๐˜ถ๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ: the single most influential member of the guild. Typically, Guild Masters are very powerful, often being the strongest Mage in their guilds. Occasionally, they are even members of the Ten Wizard Saints, as with the case of Makarov Dreyar.

  44. ๐˜”๐˜ข๐˜จ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด: these are simply magic users who undertake jobs to make jewels. Regular mages are not allowed to take on S-Class jobs without the accompaniment of an S-Rank Mage. It is possible for a mage to rise in rank, though the trials of promotion vary guild-to-guild.
