  1. The Internet Ungovernance Forum on November,9 to 13, 2015 ( João Pessoa - Brazil) for everyone who demand that fundamental freedoms, openness, unity and net neutrality remain the building blocks of the Internet. Our objective is to talk about the true and real problems of the internet, how can we solve them and to chart a path for action.
  2.
  3. The internet came through an effort of decentralization of control, to prevent only one power to control the responsiveness to external attacks. Although inspired by military purposes, this network has expanded mainly to where knowledge is produced, turning into a symbol of freedom of thought and information sharing.
  4.
  5. Initially ignored as an economic or social power because of its restriction to a few places, the Internet grew up in a base that was relatively free from government regulations aiming its content. This beginning walked the path for the entire libertarian culture we stand today - away from offices and legalistic surveillance we were able to build a set of values that underlie the whole struggle against the government's control system. If today we can exchange messages, photos, music, videos and mainly ideas through the Internet, this was due to the efforts of this movement to discern copying from theft, sharing from sale, means of transmission from means of exchange, conservative from transformative thinking.
  6.
  7. Technological advances allowed the internet and its values to spread at a faster pace than any other innovation, creating in a short time the necessary condition for a revolution of human thought. Soon everyone on the planet will have direct or indirect access to the internet, and it is up to us to ensure that the cyberspace be maintained as a libertarian and inspiring place, capable of connecting people to the most diverse causes and thoughts. What could be different? Today there are terrible pressures, only comparable to the worst dystopian works, seeking to turn the internet into an unbeatable surveillance tool, able to map not only our steps, but our thoughts, habits and expressions, a place where an endless collection of data is produced every second and that under these darkest powers, will remain accessible to commercial interests and all sorts of political persecution of dissidents. Our freedom is threatened by a surveillance network with the excuse that it is "for our and the national security", this is something which will be discussed in the IUF, so that all society can collectively discuss and take control of their lives and therefore of freedom. Let's turn the tables and make the Internet a tool capable of guaranteeing collective and individual freedom.
