1. Name: Fausta Claudia Nero Papilio
2.
3. Age: 19
4.
5. Appearance: Remarkably similar to Chouko-Prime in appearance, Fausta's most apparent difference is her obvious and unavoidable European heritage--compared to the 'base' version, she's noticeably taller, on top of not being Japanese. The other difference, as a result of regular exercise and time spent in the sun, is that she's mildly less curvaceous, noticeably more muscular, and rather tanned.
6.
7. Personality: This version is far more (if Chouko turns out to be less than she looks) serious than the original, having little patience of inefficiency or wasting time when there is a job to be done. Duties are to be completed to the letter; enemies are to be subdued with no hesitation, even if this is more damaging than it needs to be. Once 'off-duty', as it is, she's extremely laid-back, almost as if someone flipped a switch. Flirtatious and almost inevitably found with a glass of wine in hand, Fausta somehow still manages an air of class.

9. Powers: As a devoted Legionnaire, Fausta has trained herself in front-line combat--and her powers reflect this. Highly defensive, she's armoured and has the same shield borne through antiquity to the advent of efficient firearms, as well as the traditional gladius. Whilst the lorica segmenta is amazing at preventing injury, her offensive abilities are limited; the legionnaire's ability in a fight mostly lies in holding the line and protecting other combatants. Despite this tight focus, she's remarkably agile physically, as well as skilled from real life experience, and does lay claim to the attack 'Pax Romana': a magically charged shield to the face.
10. Since the point of contact is solid metal, it's good at knocking things out.
11.
12. Short History: Rather than being born in one of the more outlying provinces, Fausta hails from the Queen of Cities itself: Rome. Its urban sprawl having continued unabated for over two thousand years, it is by far the largest and most populous city in the known world. Despite this, her birthplace is still notable: to hail from the old city is quite rare.
13. From a well-off family, the brunette was expected to either go into some high-paying but peaceful occupation or, with her interest in the gods, to become a Vestal Virgin. She did neither: putting her athletic talents to use, Fausta joined the legions instead, displaying surprising athleticism. When her magical abilities awoke, she was regarded as a divine gift... but rather than discharging her from the military, she was promoted: now a Legate, she commands the least populous legion. Rather unsurprising, since it consists entirely of herself.

16. Optional Worldbuilding:
17.
18. World Name: Imperium Sine Fine
19.
20. World Theme: Rome truly is an Empire Without End.
21.
22. Details: Unlike the real world, the Roman Empire never entered a state of decline--rather than becoming so unstable that the Tetrarchy seemed like a preferable option, its boundaries held firm after Hadrian. Over the course of centuries, rather than increasingly declining into a pitiful rump state, the Empire instead expanded: it added Caledonia as a permanent province, as well as conquering the Scotti raiders and adding their island as the province of Scotia. Time even allowed the Pontus Euxinus to be fully encircled, making the term 'Mare Nostrum' truly the most appropriate way to describe the sea encircled by the Empire.
23.
24. Eastwards, the Sassanid dynasty faltered and was replaced but with a united foe and no monotheistic rebels, its hold over the non-coastal regions of the Middle East became firmer and Persia endured when it would have, in reality, collapsed. Against such threats as nomadic hordes, both the Empire and Persia could even come to an agreement to support the other against the incursions--never severing trade links with the orient, and thus never having any motive to sail westwards.
25.
26. Instead, the Americas were left to their own devices, to develop nation states and unify and explore in their own time. An apt comparison would be with the real-life Africas: rich in resources, but with a lot of work ahead in technological and governmental progression. Thus leaving it somewhat behind this world's Africa.
