[10:05] <Feldi> Having left behind Blade after a session of form practice and polishing, Anvil wanders through Dark Water Holdings looking for Xiao. To see how she was after the events in the forest.
[10:16] * Xiaozhi is mostly puttering around her small "medical" ward, making sure that the couple of people who remain still healing after the big fight are recovering and otherwise cleaning and organizing according to some apparent internal whimsy.
[10:20] <Feldi> "Ah, Xiao!" Anvil calls out in greeting with a wave as she enters the medical ward.
[10:21] <Xiaozhi> Her ears perk first, then the rest of the girl follows suit. "Hi, Anvil," she smiles, complete with a little wave. "What brings you to my neck of the woods? You need to loosen up?"
[10:25] <Feldi> Anvil rubs the back of her neck, speaking softly so that the others in the ward couldn't listen in. "I thought I'd come see how you were doing...after what happened with Rain. You seem to be doing ok..."
[10:28] <Xiaozhi> She blinks, then seems to just...droop. Ears, tail, shoulders--she even settles from walking on her toes to flat-footed. "Yeah, I'm doing alright. It sucks, what happened...but I'll get over it. I still have all of you guys, and Ma Sin, and Aya, and a whole bunch of others. I just wasn't really thinking about that at the time."
[10:32] <Feldi> Anvil smiles softly at her, placing a comforting hand on Xiao's shoulder. "You do. But if you ever want to talk about it, I'd be happy to listen. I know what it's like to lose people."
[10:34] <Xiaozhi> She nods, smiling again. "Thanks. That means a lot. And those of us stuck in this place--we're all going to experience it some time, right? Why else would it be called Hell?" The smile turns a bit lopsided, into more of a smirk.
[10:39] <Feldi> Anvil chuckles, squeezing Xiao's shoulder before taking her hand away. "Well, even if we're destined to lose people, I'll fight my hardest to make sure we don't....So," Anvil tilts her head, raising an eyebrow, "what was that about loosening me up?"
[10:46] <Xiaozhi> She smiles again before kind of...coming back to life, rising back up on her toes like her usual chipper self. "Well, you've mentioned before how when you really get excessive about using your metallic energies, you tend to stiffen up really a lot afterward. I have strong hands and know my way around a body"--she says this without any trace of a leer--"so I thought you came to take advantage of that."

[10:49] <Feldi> "Hmm, well, I have used a bit of metal chi today, using my clothes as thread and doing a bit of forging." She rolls her shoulder, testing her flexibility, and there's a small whine, metal grinding against a trace of metal. "If you have the time...?"
[10:51] <Xiaozhi> "Sure thing~!" She takes Anvil's other arm, guiding her across to one of the beds. "I don't have any actual, y'know, fancy massage tables or anything, so if you'd rather sit up, that's fine. Or you can lie down. Same with your top--leave it on, take it off, it shouldn't matter. Whichever makes you most comfortable or relaxed."
[10:56] <Feldi> "Given how we met, I'll take my top off," Anvil laughs, expending a little more metal chi to draw her top off her body, leaving it at the edge of the bed. She gets onto the bed and then lies down, tilting her head to the side so she can watch Xiao.
[10:57] <Xiaozhi> The catgirl hums to herself lightly as she trots back off to another side of the room, returning shortly with a small bottle. "This little formula is something my mentor showed me before I left my old school," she says, applying some of the bottle's contents to her hands and rubbing them together.
[10:59] <Xiaozhi> Then she sets to work on Anvil's shoulder, gently tugging her arm out so the joint is open and relaxed. She begins gently, though ramps the pressure up quickly, with the oil on her hands seeming to heat and cool at the same time. She digs her thumbs in to work past the layer of dense muscle, to get at the specific points beneath.
[11:02] <Feldi> "Oh, that feels good~" Anvil closes her eyes as Xiao gets to work, enjoying the skilled hands at work. She can already feel some of the waste metal melting away...
[11:04] <Xiaozhi> "Doesn't it? We got to experience this--once--from my teacher's hands. It was..." She giggles slightly. "Well, all it took was a little touch from her, and some of the other boys in the class kind of...jumped past attention and right to needing new pants."
[11:08] <Feldi> "Mmm, but you had a bit more stamina?" Anvil's voice is low and quiet, relaxed.
[11:11] <Xiaozhi> "Just a bit. I think I loved her right then, though," she giggles again. "People asked her if she was a wizard, though, and she'd just snort at them and kick them out of the class."
[11:16] <Feldi> "As she should. Doctors aren't priests," Anvil sighs as Xiao massages away a ball of stiffness. "It sounds like you had a good teacher and a good life there."
[11:17] <Xiaozhi> She switches from pressing heavily with her thumbs to poking with her nails; invoking some of the Wood chi she has built up, her nails lengthen and sharpen, the points on them becoming as fine as some needles, as she begins pricking at the meridians and nerve clusters she knows are present in the shoulder.
[11:18] <Xiaozhi> "You should barely feel this," she adds belatedly. "And yeah, I kinda did. I was a pretty big idiot, though, in some ways. 's how I ended up here, after all."
[11:20] <Feldi> Anvil's eyes slowly open and she peers down at Xiao's handiwork. "Our team is full of neat tricks," she says. "Would you go back, if you could? Back to your old body too?"
[11:25] <Xiaozhi> She continues to work in silence for a minute, thinking. "...I'd like to go back, some day. I really liked having Genius as my teacher, and I want to learn all she has to teach. I want to prove to her that I'm worthy to be her student again. But that old life, the old me?" She shakes her head, delivering an emphatic pinch with her quasi-claws that drains the last of the metallic stiffness from the joint.
[11:29] <Xiaozhi> "No, the old me is better off where it is--a memory. I'd much rather keep the new me, who knows you and Xifeng and Tide and especially the Duchess. Just...everyone. Madam Ma...I don't even know if I can list everyone."
[11:32] <Feldi> "Genius, huh?" Anvil shifts her shoulder slowly, easily and without any trace of stiffness. In fact, she can feel a strange energy flowing... "She turns her body, resting nearly on her side, so she can smile at Xiao. "Well, I like the new you too as does everyone else I'm sure. We'll keep you around," she chuckles, "especially since you give such good massages~"
[11:33] <Xiaozhi> Another laugh. "And my excellent service, too~," she adds, with a knowing leer. "I love working at the teahouse, honestly. I think all of you should try it, but it's obviously not for all."
[11:34] <Xiaozhi> She releases the aligned energy and her hands return to their normal condition.

[14:09] <Feldion> "The waitresses seemed happy to work there," Anvil shrugs, smiling. "Maybe I will if I need the income or just for fun?" She chuckles, turning completely onto her back.
[14:12] <Feldion> She doesn't appear bothered about her breasts on display. "Now, your service? I've never experienced that. I'll have to take your word for it." She returns Xiao's leer with an appreciative look up and down.
[14:18] <Xiaozhi> She blushes slightly, but doesn't look away. "Sounds like we need to organize a field trip. Have a few hours to relax after these last few days. Then you'll get to see me in my element."
[15:23] <Feldion> Anvil tilts her head, grinning. "Serving tables or serving on that bottom floor?"
[15:24] <Xiaozhi> "Tables, mostly," she says grinning. "...Although I've had a few encounters otherwise..."
[15:30] <Feldion> "Enjoyable encounters, I hope? I'm already looking forward to seeing you in that uniform and heels."
[15:32] <Xiaozhi> "Yeah. Each one's been...memorable, in its own way." Her cheeks pink again. "And thanks. I actually really like the uniform. I'd wear it all the time, if I weren't afraid of destroying it."

[15:41] <Feldion> "If you're not busy now, why don't we gather everyone up?" Anvil suggests.
[15:46] <Xiaozhi> "Sure," she shrugs. She bounces across to wash off her hands and put the bottle of oil away again, making one last check on the couple of people in other beds, before returning to Anvil. "I'm ready; let's go." She leads the other fighter out and back down to the main hall area of their new headquarters, where they'd first met.
[15:48] <Feldion> Anvil adjusts her top as they walk, having to hold herself back from skipping or running as well. That massage seemed to have filled her with a nervous energy.
[15:51] * SavageWolfDuchess is near the workout area she's set up. Not currently working out, but judging from the towel over one shoulder she's either just about to start or just finishing--she's not terribly sweaty, so probably was just about to start.
[15:52] <Xiaozhi> "Hey boss," she calls, making a short dash forward and giving her a quick hug. "Need a spot?"
[15:55] <Feldion> "Hey Duchess!" Anvil moves around the workout area at a fast walk, inspecting what Duchess had made.
[15:56] <Blessed_Blade> "Hi!" Blade, seemingly looking for others, rather quickly sidling up to Anvil and grinning big at being with the Sword Devil.
[15:58] * SavageWolfDuchess hugs Xiaozhi back. "Hey guys. I could use a spotter, sure--was just about to set up a squat rack." She grins, kissing Xiaozhi on both cheeks. "How're you guys all doing?"
[16:00] <Xiaozhi> "Better," she says simply, clearly luxuriating in the attention. "Anvil came up to say hi earlier, and I helped fix her shoulder up, then we came out to see if anyone else was around." She sidles back around the makeshift equipment.
[16:00] <Blessed_Blade> "I'm doing good!" brightly.
[16:01] * SavageWolfDuchess nods, heading for the improvised squat rack. It's... probably not the safest... but hey, as long as it's a xia on there, it can't be *that* unsafe. And even if it is, that's what Xiaozhi's for! The Duchess puts some makeshift plates on the bar and gets under it.
[16:04] <Feldion> Anvil pulls Blade into a quick hug, squeezing her. "Xiao did a great job on my arm! We were thinking about going to Ma Sin's with everyone who we found!"
[16:04] <Xiaozhi> "I think I might have put too much into her, actually," she says quietly, only half-watching the Duchess, with a semi-apologetic look to Anvil. "But she gets this stiffness when she uses her metal chi, so I kind of worked it around to make her more energetic instead. I think it...might be too much."
[16:06] <SavageWolfDuchess> "Heh. Never hurts to have more energy." Teh Duchess grins over ot Anvil, and pulls the bar off the rack. She gives Xiaozhi a second to get situated, and then starts her squats--her usual five sets of three.
[16:07] <Blessed_Blade> "So! This is to make you stronger? Xiaozhi, would it work for me?"
[16:07] <Feldion> "No, no, it's fine, fine!" Anvil laughs. "Maybe I should go for a run?"
[16:08] <Xiaozhi> She purses her lips for a second. "...I don't know, Blade. It works for people by building muscles, but I don't even know if you have muscles, or if you move by some quirk of the magic in your sword, or what. I mean...you could always try it for a little while to see, of course."
[16:10] <Blessed_Blade> "Um...alright! How do I do it?"
[16:10] * Blessed_Blade looks at the humans here, confused.
[16:11] <Xiaozhi> "Maybe you should have Anvil help you out...basically, pick one of the machines or tools that the Duchess has here, but start with something light. Then Anvil can show you some motions to go through with it, and work you up from there."
[16:16] <Feldion> Anvil nods twice, smiling. "I can do that! Come on, Blade!" Anvil takes her by the arm, dragging her over to the free weights and starts to explain the basics, practically bubbling.
[16:28] * Blessed_Blade nods, taking copious notes, at least mentally, doing what Anvil tells her to!~ She's good at following instructions! She's a good sword!
[16:47] <Xiaozhi> She watches the other pair for a second before returning her attention to her job--namely, watching the Duchess, how her muscles strain and flex under her skin, the girl's lithe form handling the weights across her shoulders easily...
[16:47] <Xiaozhi> The little drips of sweat that begin to accumulate as her efforts bear fruit, trickling down the little valleys and contours and other enticing spots...listening to the easy breaths she takes, not really straining at all with the effort...
[16:48] <Xiaozhi> Watching her thick mane of hair brush over her muscular, enticing shoulders...
[16:48] * Xiaozhi quickly wipes a trickle of drool from her chin before getting back into spotting position.
[16:50] <Feldion> Anvil also shows her how to lift the weights and the concept of sets and all else she needs to know!
[16:51] * SavageWolfDuchess is facing away from Xiaozhi--for good or for ill--and so doesn't notice most of that. She finishes off her fifth set with ease, then steps back, stretching and rolling her shoulders a bit before turning around, nodding. "Thanks, girly." She smiles at Xiaozhi. "You want a turn on something, or should we see if we can get the leg press working?"
[16:52] * Xiaozhi starts to shake her head, then hesitates. "...Actually, I think I should. Though probably not with as much weight as you usually use."
[16:53] * SavageWolfDuchess nods. "That's fair. Let's start you off low and build up, yeah?" She smiles. "Upper or lower?

[16:55] <Xiaozhi> "Upper," she says, almost right away. "They don't really look it, but all this walking on my toes...well, my legs don't need as much help right now." She smiles.
[16:55] * SavageWolfDuchess chuckles. "Fair enough." She heads for the bench press station and starts helping Xiaozhi get it set up--lighter than usual, but still fairly weighty. Xiaozhi IS a Xia, after all.
[16:57] * Xiaozhi waits for the Duchess to get everything situated before climbing onto the bench. After a moment to get her tail situated she grabs the bar and, with a nod, begins her own sets.

[18:51] * Xiaozhi laughs in the middle of a press, starting herself coughing and coming close to losing her grip. "Not...hardly," she grounds out, before pushing up and setting the bar back on its resting posts. She sits up slightly to grin at Tide. "It's just past time I started it. Need to get these noodles"--she pats one bicep--"up to par with the rest of yours."
[18:55] <Feldion> "We should arm wrestle! See who the strongest is! Hello Tide!" Anvil says quite quickly as she watches Blade do her first sets. She seems a little...hyper.
[18:58] <Xiaozhi> "I'll pass," she chuckles, laying back down to continue her work.
[18:58] <Xiaozhi> "Maybe you and Tide should."
[18:59] <Rending_Tide> Tide rolls her eyes and grins. "Maybe once I'm done healing."
[19:03] <Feldion> "Wouldn't be fair," Anvil agrees, smiling. "What would the strongest win..."
[19:05] <Rending_Tide> "That's a good question~ What could I possibly want~?"
[19:15] <Feldion> Anvil thinks for a few seconds, humming to herself. "A full-body massage from Xiao?"
[19:16] <Xiaozhi> "Hey wait what?"
[19:16] <Rending_Tide> "I could just ask for that though, if she felt like giving on to me~"
[19:25] <Feldion> Anvil sighs. "True. It has to be something special..."
[19:26] <Xiaozhi> "That's true..." Six...seven...eight. She sets the bar back down. "One more of those. Anyway--just think of what you two can offer each other. Besides a helluva lay," she adds dryly.
[19:27] <Rending_Tide> Tide taps her whip against her forehead. "Already did that before I lost the extra attachment. Hmm..."
[19:29] * SavageWolfDuchess chuckles, adjusting the weights a bit to keep them properly balanced before Xiaozhi's next set.
[19:30] <Xiaozhi> "Or just not bother for now, and think of something else for if you do do it later." With a short sigh, she lays back on the bench for her last set.

[19:32] <Xiaozhi> "Oh, and Anvil was kinda right earlier, boss--we talked about taking everyone to the teahouse for a little kinda celebration after clearing out our subway. Plus she wants to see my uniform."

[19:35] <Feldion> "Eating and drinking at Ma Sin's or seeing Xiao in her uniform?" Anvil teases.
[19:35] <SavageWolfDuchess> "Yes." She grins, leering down at Xiao.
[19:36] <Xiaozhi> She coughs out a laugh, caught once again in the middle of a rep.
[19:38] <Feldion> Anvil grins. "Such a wolf," she laughs.
[19:39] <Xiaozhi> "Horndog," she corrects, halfway done. "But I don't mind."
[19:41] <Feldion> "As long as she gives you her paw occasionally, eh?"
[19:50] <Xiaozhi> "The pawing is mutual," she grins, having finished again, before just laying there for a minute. "...I'm going to feel that later."

[20:34] <Xiaozhi> "What, like a--oh. Oooohh." She blushes slightly again. "...Maybe. We'll see."

[20:39] <Feldion> "Still nice to hear," Anvil plants a quick kiss on Tide's cheek before moving off to watch over Blade, humming to herself.

[20:45] <Xiaozhi> She mumbles something to herself before standing up from the bench, turning to the Duchess. "What's next, in your estimation?"
[20:47] <SavageWolfDuchess> "Hmm... I'd say curls, I think."
[20:51] * Xiaozhi nods. "Sure." With guidance, she picks an appropriate level of the freeweights and gets to work.
[20:55] * SavageWolfDuchess helps along, pressing close against Xiaozhi's back during it so she can focus on muscle movement more and balance less. "There you go, girly... curl 'em up like that..." Her mouth is very close to Xiaozhi's ear, and her body's very warm...
[20:59] <Xiaozhi> She does her best, and it's an admirable effort, but her face is quite red, and only a fraction of that is from the exertion--and based on how her tail curls itself around the Duchess' leg, that's readily apparent.
[21:04] * SavageWolfDuchess grins. "Come on, focus. Gotta keep your mind on what's important~" She says, wrapping her arms around Xiaozhi and nuzzling against her neck lightly. "LIft... down... lift... down...~"
[21:06] <Feldion> A distance away, Anvil informs Blade that Duchess and Xiao's example is not a proper spotting procedure.
[21:09] <Xiaozhi> She makes it through two more before swallowing. Hard. Her head tilts just the slightest distance away, opening that side of her neck, and her eyes half-close...but in spite of that, she manages to keep her curling rhythm going. Somehow.
[21:12] <SavageWolfDuchess> "Mmm... there you go. Lock out distractions..." She grins, nibbling at Xiaozhi's neck lightly. "Don't let anything stop you unless it's an emergency. Gotta finish the set, then the next, regardless of pain or anything else... mmm...~"
[21:17] <Xiaozhi> "You'd think...given the teahouse...I'd be used to this," she grinds out, teeth clenched even while her tail uncoils from Duchess' leg and flits up and down along it. It seems to take Xiaozhi herculean effort, but she manages to finish the set.
[21:20] <SavageWolfDuchess> "Mmm hmm. You're doing well, girly. Keep at it... rest for a bit, then one more set, hmm?" She grins, hands going down the catgilr's body to stroke at her thighs a bit...
[21:26] <Xiaozhi> She snorts--an eloquent answer--though she notably doesn't protest the wandering hands.

Of course, this also means it's becoming harder to focus past the talented fingers playing with her. Her free hand grabs the offending forearm...though whether it's to make it withdraw, or keep it in place, not even she's sure.
