We go back to the tunnel behind his chambers and start investigating

We see that the circle is a Teleportation Circle
They are attuned to another circle somewhere else
This one appears to be inactive, because the one at the other end isn't working

We are attacked by two constructs

We find a room with a dais and read "only by blinding yourself to the world around you can you see the way forward to the eye of serenity"

as the world goes dark, Lorie can see one thing. he suddenly perceives the giant glowing iris of the eyes carved into this dome structure as doorways. He sees nothing but the doorway in front of him

after a will save, the doors become incorporeal

there is a crystal raised over a dais

two large statues face the crystal, swords nearly touching the ceiling

after Lorie's will save, as he enters the chamber, lorie recognizes the crystal as the immortal dreamstone and feels time slow down around him. the statues begin to move toward lorie

Lorie is holding a smokestick and his gun, and doesn't know the statues are moving toward him.
