Ryusui|GM: - Chocolate witnessed Argee's picture-perfect recollection of his encounter with the dreaded Mew York Ripper! Argee forced the dreaded serial killer to retreat, and at the same time revealed it for what it truly was - a deadly robot!
Ryusui|GM: - Caillou and Xoa spoke with the reformed(?) Inya'crou and discovered the particulars of the late Togu'luki's meeting with the Jewell Mineral Concern! They decided to further investigate the company and its connections with the mysterious Strige and Rantha!
Ryusui|GM: - Diva found herself in a strange dream world where she was threatened by an oppressive, invisible presence! Putting her performing skills to good use, she disrupted the presence's hold and managed to escape!

Ryusui|GM: As for you, <@!Diva♥>, the officers you entertained have convinced Lt. Zedrik to stretch the usual coffee-and-donut budget and treat you to some donuts at Precious!
Caillou: *doubted the legitimacy of a company that claims to use the name of an entire continent, and he relays what he learned about them, and his plan to investigate them using Inya. He also turns to remind Inya to not actually sign anything once they get there.*

Ryusui|GM: And an unexpected - but familiar - face is with them!
Xoa: "So?" Xoa looked over at Chocolate and Argee, "Find anything useful?" She seems to be tapping her foot on the ground, keeping her arms folded.
Caillou: (Seriously, it's like if someone walked up to us and claimed they were Africa Inc. XD)
Xoa: Xoa then looks after at Diva, "Weren't you in one of my dreams or something?" She asked, pointing a finger at the popstar.
Reality Glitch: <Oh dear,> I broadcast, <I forgot about that poor rabbit we left at the station!  Officers; is he O.K.?>
Caillou: (She was...? Oh, the dream dungeon. XD)
Xoa: (yup yup)
Chocolate: "Yes we did and..." Chocolate begins, before turning their head towards Diva "My... Isn't that- Ah, sorry." Chocolate says, before tuning their attention back to Xoa "As I was saying- Uh, what did you say?"
Diva♥: oh are we all in the same place now? )

Diva♥: ( cool!)
Xoa: "Dreams, doors, traps, and loot."
Ryusui|GM: Lt. Zedric sighs. He clearly wasn't up for an excursion like this. "He's in the infirmary, along with that Strige person. They're both still out of it, but their conditions are stable."
Diva♥: Diva is just happy for the attention, "Oh yeeeaaaah! I wouldn't forget someone like yourself."
Ryusui|GM: "You know this girl? The men are telling me she's somebody famous..."
Xoa: "Technically yeah, in a dream."
Chocolate: "Uh. That's Diva, she's a rising star... And a friend." Chocolate answered the cops "And this talk about dreams is just leaving me puzzled..."
Caillou: (Ooh, their conditions are similar? It'd actually be good if the Rabbat turned out to be one of the gem users. That's one less baddy we'd have to fight!)

Caillou: (Of course, with our luck, he'll turn out to be the Inclined Plane user. XD)
Diva♥: "I... I do the pop song shows! You should come!"

Caillou: {Hi, Diva. Again, sorry I didn't go to any of your shows.} He pointed at his ears and shook his head.
Chocolate: (Maybe you should *try* to see if you like?)
Xoa: "Not really interested in pop songs." Xoa butted in, "But anyways, we should should look for this Reaper dude, or chick."
Diva♥: "Don't be silly, everybody likes pop, that's like, why it's called pop!"
Caillou: (And... ignored. XD)
Diva♥: ( nope, I missed it, diva ignores no person!)

Chocolate: "Right. Uh, the Mew York's Reaper..." Chocolate says, looking around at the group "It's... The Reaper is a cold, heartless, machine."
Xoa: "Does it run on crystals?" She asked, "And if they are, there could be multiple."

Caillou: (So no reaction to me?)

Ryusui|GM: The cops are largely occupied with getting donuts for their idol, but Lt. Zedric is all ears. "...what the hell are you talking about? A...robot?" He raises an eyebrow.
Caillou: {Anyways, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, <@!Diva♥>. The last time we met, you had stumbled in on one of my strangest cases. Here you are again, and while this hasn't topped us going up against (I think) a literal group of gods just yet, it's starting down that road. I can feel it. You're like a strange magnet, aren't you?} He winks.
Chocolate: "Indeed. It seems that all the clues and information we have gathered points towards this direction..." Chocolate says, trailling off for a moment "We are yet to determine why anyone would ever construct such vile machinery, however, but we do have some data on its appearance and other things that might help us find it, and deal with it."
Diva♥: ( diva did respond 😛 )
Caillou: He turns to Chocolate. {What did you say? I was preoccupied.}
Caillou: (Oh.)
Caillou: (Well anyways, I think she missed the point. XD)
Ryusui|GM: Lt. Zedric is rubbing his forehead. "That's...that sounds like tabloid nonsense. But then again I *did* just see wild magic go off in my precinct, here in the middle of Mew York. I...guess it wouldn't be the *strangest* thing I've had to wrap my head around in the past 24 hours."
Diva♥: "heh, yeah I keep seeming to find myself in these places, but I won't complain, I get to meet new people!"
Chocolate: {Caillou, as I have said, the Reaper is not a person. It is a thing that moves, a machine, without feelings or thoughs} Chocolate gestures, turned to Caillou

Chocolate: "Trust me, Zedric. I know tabloid nonsense when I see one, because I've been working on this case for years, and the quantity of tabloid nonsense coming out on it is ludicrous. And while I must admit that it does sound insane, it is what we can conclude, so far." Chocolate says, to Zedric, while adjusting their tie "It is really... Not what I would have expected, but then again, the Reaper case is extremely unusual to begin with..."
Reality Glitch: ((And my backstory involves a distinct lack of a fourth-wall.))
Caillou: "Wayt!" Caillou writes furiously. {I just realized a flaw in my deduction! This is way too long for any kind of trial period. What if...} He flips the page and continues writing.
Caillou: He pauses. He's not sure if he should bring this possibility to light, in the event that he's wrong. He elected to show it only to Chocolate.
Reality Glitch: <I could just link us telepathically; faster than having write it out.>
Caillou: {What if it's harvesting something?}
Caillou: He's holding the sign away from Argee, among others.
Xoa: Xoa seemed to have finished off her coffee and donuts...The whole dozen box of donuts and gallon of iced coffee, "Well I'm going back to the precinct and see if I can control those crystals." She heads towards the door, waving her hand. "I want to test something out."
Caillou: {You said it doesn't collect trophies. But what if we're only right in that it doesn't take anything *physical* from its victims?}
Chocolate: "Hmmm? What do you mean? Like what?" Chocolate asked, rubbing their chin
Reality Glitch: Keeping only to Caillou, <and I kind of already know, anyway.  Writing takes so much mental energy I have trouble blocking it out.>
Caillou: {I'm... extremely hesitant to say that it's harvesting souls. Perhaps it's just magical energy? I hope that's the case anyways.}
Reality Glitch: <Ditto.>
Diva♥: "I admit I have no clue whats going on, I just ended up in one weird place with green crystals, and now I'm here... I guess I should be used to it"
Caillou: *glares at Argee.* <I hope *you* don't go spreading 'the word,' and with it, panic.>
Reality Glitch: <Of course!> I look away, <I'm all too familiar with that.>
Chocolate: "Hmm. If that is the true, that's deeply troubling..." Chocolate said, frowning "I'd rather this not be the case, but I suppose your hypothesis does have some ground, on the very *least*."
Caillou: (Caillou wasn't "listening" to Diva. Can someone else react?)
Ryusui|GM: Xoa, the officers are still too busy doting on Diva to try and stop you.
Ryusui|GM: The precinct is a few minutes away on foot. You got a faster means of transportation?
Caillou: (And if you were wondering; yeah, I'm beginning to crack down on making myself plausibly deaf. XD)
Xoa: (Distorting the ground to make her just slid around sounds pretty fun heh)
Ryusui|GM: Well, you certainly make an eye-catching sight doing that. (I'm presuming you don't leave any permanent marks on the ground as you go? XD)

Diva♥: Diva explains how she thought she was in a dream and stuff and seeing people with green crystals... etc.
Reality Glitch: Back on full broadcast, gesturing st Diva.  <If there were blobs of assorted colors, don't.>
Ryusui|GM: You get there just in time to see two officers escorting a certain cat with lynx markings out the front door.
Xoa: She brushed that off and goes straight on in.
Ryusui|GM: (You're ignoring the fact that they're letting Rantha go? XD)
Xoa: (Oh wait, it's rantha?)

Xoa: She then turns around, "Wait, hold the fuck up." She then moves her way towards her and the cops, "What are you doing?"
Chocolate: "Huh, that was weird... And then you just appeared on the Mew York Police department?" Chocolate continues "Speaking of that, I wonder if the bag that Inya is needing will take long to be processed."
Caillou: (You really don't like that we essentially b*tch-slapped two of your baddies out of the story right then and there, huh? XD)
Reality Glitch: <So, what's with this dream traveling?  It sounds like this has to you happened before.>
Chocolate: (hey, one is still in the MYPD)
Caillou: (Well okay, maybe "b*tch-slapped" is a bit strong, but still. XD)
Diva♥: "I thought it was a dream, I guess it wasn't, I don't know how I got there"
Ryusui|GM: Rantha smiles patronizingly. "As it turns out, there was a...severe *misunderstanding,*" she says. "Of course Strige will remain in custody for the foreseeable future, so long as he remains a vegetable and is unable to answer the many, *many* questions the police have for him...in the meantime, I have *work* to return to."
Reality Glitch: <But this isn't the first time?>

Caillou: (I hope Xoa isn't one for legal precedent? Follow the fourth lesson of space bounty-hunters; if you see a stranger, follow them! XD)
Reality Glitch: ((Please tell me she doesn't have the crystals.))
Chocolate: (No way they would let it go, after they blew up)

Xoa: Xoa grits her teeth, "Give. Me. Your. Crystal." She hisses through her teeth. She holds out her hand, and attempts to worm out her pendant, if she even has it.
Ryusui|GM: (Rantha just stood there and acted enigmatic, but Caillou at least *knows* she has some kind of power.)
Chocolate: (The crystals would not get out of the MYPD, that's what I meant)
Xoa: (I assume it is safe to do a forceful roll?)
Ryusui|GM: "You'll have to ask these fine gentlemen for it," Rantha says, coolly. "A small condition they had me agree to."
Reality Glitch: ((Technically me as well, but I may not know she was the one who had it.))
Xoa: She turns towards them, "Well? Hand it over." She spoke, still keeping an eye on Rantha.
Ryusui|GM: "She means it's in evidence, ma'am," the taller of the two officers says. "Along with the other crystals."
Caillou: (Seriously, is Xoa the type to actually follow the law? I never got a clear answer on that. XD)
Xoa: (Not really, no)
Chocolate: (Well... Do you have the rules for crowd combat?)
Caillou: (But then, it's probably not the best idea to assault her while she's being escorted by police.)
Ryusui|GM: (you're gonna fight two officers? in their own precinct?)
Xoa: (Nah, she's gonna just storm in)
Caillou: (She doesn't have her crystal. You can take her once she's alone.)
Xoa: (Question, is the evidence room...close to the outside?)

Ryusui|GM: You're in the back corridors now. There are people milling around, paying you largely no heed - mostly officers, but there are lab techs here and there in animated conversation.
Chocolate: Chocolate's demeanor drops when they hear of Heaven's Keys "What." they manage.

Ryusui|GM: By this point there are alarms going off, but most of the precinct's manpower is elsewhere.

Ryusui|GM: On the upside, you're in a room full of filing cabinets and shelves and things with tags on them.

Ryusui|GM: "Diiiivaaa! Here you go!" one of the officers sings. He hands you a half-dozen triple-decker cream parfait deluxes - donuts upon donuts upon donuts covered in sprinkles and frosting - and a strawbery-orange-banana sundae shake with whipped cream and a cherry on top.
Chocolate: "Well, that's that sorted out, wow." Chocolate muses.
Ryusui|GM: They're all dates and codes, Xoa. Everything is meticulously organized. Even after your landing - you conveniently dropped on a big empty spot on the floor.
Reality Glitch: <Maybe you aren't up-to-date on the politics?  I don't know!>
Bea's head whips around at the mention of the pop star, "Diva?  The Diva? I'm a HUGE fan!"  She scrambles over to Diva and tries to scoop her up in a hug, but Rumners are notorious for their la k of upper-body strength.
Xoa: Xoa sorta just, stares and looks for a date...as in today's date.
Caillou: (This is all pointless, since Chocolate and I could have just asked nicely for the crystals. XD)
Ryusui|GM: There's evidence on the shelves with today's date - knives, a couple wands, bags of powdery substance, an entire severed arm preserved in a clear plastic bag - but no sign of the crystals, Xoa.
Chocolate: (I mean, really, there's not even a reason to take them out of there.)
Diva♥: "Ah! it looks wonderful! And a fan! I always love to meet a fan!"
Xoa: "What the fuck is a severed arm doing here-" She then realized she was probably in a forsenics lab.
Ryusui|GM: (nope, this is the evidence room)

Reality Glitch: Bea does get a little squeezy with her hug.

Xoa: "...Mother..." She then looks around for  a map on the wall towards the forenics lab.

Chocolate begins, turning to Caillou, before signing back to him {Well, Diva said she had a strange dream, with loud voices, strange people, green crystals, a floor falling down... Amongst other things. And then, she said she appeared on the front of the MYPD, as she... Woke up?"
Ryusui|GM: The wall shatters. The lab tech who accosted you is now groaning amid the rubble. Apparently he was standing behind it the entire time.
Xoa: "Here's Xoa." she says through the hole and then enters and looks down, "Why were you just standing there!?" She then run pasts him, "Whatever, time to get those crystals."
Caillou: {That sounds... related to our case, actually. Even if it wasn't, it's worth investigating.}
Ryusui|GM: Xoa: You enter the lab. There's no one here. There's a wide table full of testing equipment, though.
Ryusui|GM: There's a small bag full of blue crystals, some of which have been removed and placed under a detector of some kind.
Ryusui|GM: And there are three familiar-looking green shapes - a wedge, a screw, and the shard that Strige used on the rabbit.
Reality Glitch: < <@!Chocolate> , <@!Caillou> , we're heading to the embassy if you still need us in this investigation.>
Bea gets up and walks out the door.  I catch up to her and shrink down to fit on her back before she winds up then zips off; 0-60 in 10-12 seconds.
Xoa: _grabs those three crystals, and looks around the room for some metal._

Chocolate: {Well, what do you feel like would be a good step to start the investigation, Caillou?} Chocolate replies back to Caillou.

Ryusui|GM: Xoa, there's chaos now. This is the third incident in the past *hour* and there are officers running all over trying to figure out what the hell is going on. How do you make your exit?
Caillou: (I seriously don't hope that you want us to take this particular "God" seriously. XD)
Chocolate: "Now, you said that what was going to be discussed was... About minerals, correct? Can you elaborate on that, again?" Chocolate proceeds with their questions
Xoa: Xoa does what she does best, destruction, and she tries to do so by blowing holes through walls
Caillou: (I mean, seriously; his body is made of the simple machines. *Physically made of them.* XD)
Ryusui|GM: "Well, yes. The idea - as I understand it," she says between donut bites, "is that there's a *much* bigger deposit of our blue stone underneath Keetiv, as-yet out-of-reach even for the Consortium's resources."
Ryusui|GM: "The Concern apparently has expertise mining rare materials in out-of-the-way places. Like Jewell, obviously. They've offered to help us extract these deep deposits in exchange for a portion of the proceeds."
Ryusui|GM: "Of course it all depends on what they think of the sample Togu was meant to bring them..."
Caillou: {That this Concern supposedly knew about.}
Chocolate: "Oh, interesting, why is that blue stone so valuable, however, to elicit someone to wish to import them in bulk? Or, at least, supposedly valuable?"
Ryusui|GM: "I understand they're of interest to magical researchers. They *did* bring out our long-suppressed magical abilities, after all."
Ryusui|GM: <@!Xoa>: Pick a direction and start digging, then? XD All right. It doesn't take long at all before you're back in the open air. What next?
Chocolate: "Hmm? What do you mean?" Chocolate said, lifting a non-existent brow "You mean that you now are able to use magic?"
Xoa: Xoa, slides back towards the donut shop.
Chocolate: "Or was that the stone used in your staffs?"
Ryusui|GM: The bodyguard pipes up: "We *were* the ones who approached *them* about the subject. We found evidence of the deep deposits and heard the Concern had expertise. They were eager to hear more, and wished to see a sample." He pauses, reflectively: "Though there is little doubt they already knew of the existence of the blue stones. In the general sense, at least."
Ryusui|GM: "Of course we still can't use magic *on our own,*" Inya says. "We need the blue stones to do it. Or rather. *Other* Ostrels need them." She looks a bit embarrassed. "I, er, still can't use a wand..."
Ryusui|GM: There's a loud *click* as Lt. Zedrik folds up his compact. "Sorry, friends, incident at the station. *Again.* We're needed there promptly. <@!Diva♥> , you okay staying with these people? Sounds like another nut came in and started tearing things up..."
Chocolate: "Why, you might have given up the gift of magic for the colorful feathers, but I must admit, that they look good on you." Chocolate pipes up, half comforting her, half teasing her.
Ryusui|GM: There's a groan of disappointment from the officers.
Xoa: Xoa literally slams the door open and walks over to Chocolate and Inya, dropping down the items she had taken. "So my idea was a flop." She is quite literally there, holding all the evidence.
Ryusui|GM: "Er...*of course I do,*" Inya huffs, averting her gaze but visibly blushing at the compliment.
Chocolate: Chocolate looks over at the arrival of Xoa, and is unable to express words, they just stare.
Ryusui|GM: The last officer marches out behind Lt. Zedric right as you do this, Xoa.
Xoa: (Everyone: Xoa what the fuck)

Ryusui|GM: They *juuuuuust* missed you incriminating the everloving *crap* out of yourself.

Chocolate: "What- why- how do you have those things? What is going on?" Chocolate asks wide-eyed

Xoa: "I wanted to see if I can use those crystals, apparnetly, nah."
Diva♥: "Oh look! green crystals! Did you go into the dream world?"
Chocolate: "Did you steal them?" Chocolate asks, in the same tone a parent asks if their kid did something wrong.
Xoa: "...Maybe."
Caillou: {You could have just asked one of us to get them for you.} Caillou writes with a despairing look on his face.
Xoa: "Oh."
Xoa: She goes blank, "Well, shit."

Xoa: "Oh yeah and vulture boy's gem is in that ball."
Chocolate: Chocolate just ruhs their forehead "Oh my..."

Ryusui|GM: Inya perks up. "Actually, isn't that it right there?" she says, pointing at Xoa's spoils.
Chocolate: "Shhhess. But, if we run off with it, we are kinda commiting a crime..."
Ryusui|GM: The bodyguard coughs. "Perhaps...perhaps it would be better to avoid the precinct for a while. You may be understanding, but the MYPD may not be so..."
Chocolate: "Hmmm..." Chocolate rubs their forehead "You are not wrong. Today was a long day and they probably have gotten themselves into no-bullshit mode, I will just keep an eye on Xoa, and try to talk it out once any officer comes out way."
Chocolate: "You, Xoa. Stick around. Got it?" Chocolate said, pointing a finger to Xoa.
Xoa: "Got it, not gonna without any permission, dad."
Chocolate: "Oh good."
Chocolate: _Chocolate now ponders how to deal with the bag situation_
Chocolate: "Inya, you don't happen to be an ambassador, do you?"
Ryusui|GM: Inya opens her mouth to speak, and the bodyguard interjects: "She has diplomatic immunity, yes, if that's what you ask. It took some effort to get the local government to consent to it, after..." He tactfully trails off.
Caillou: (Aren't we supposed to be ending this?)
Ryusui|GM: (yeah, but Chocolate keeps asking questions XD)

Chocolate: "Well. Get the bag out of Xoa's hands, don't let anyone who don't have diplomatic immunity touch it, and nobody should get arrested." Chocolate said, giving Inya enough space to do the deed.
Ryusui|GM: "Gladly." With as much pomp and circumstance as she can muster for such a mundane act, she picks it up and puts it away.
Chocolate: _Chocolate lets out a sigh of relief, thankfully she didn't try to touch them with the bag._
