- About the role:
- The Application Support Engineer will be working in the Ops Team. You will be working on and ensuring service targets and SLAs are met including the following:
- • Take ownership of customer issues and bugs reported and see problems through to resolution
- • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues
- • Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams (e.g. developers)
- • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
- • Ability to write small snippets of code or scripts to resolve certain issues.
- • Build and maintain custom reports and monitoring dashboards.
- • Prepare accurate and timely reports
- • Document knowledge in the form of knowledge base tech notes and articles
- • Monitor application and infrastructure services through tools provided
- Requirements
- • Comfortable working in and assisting others through company help desk software, such as Jira in addition to other remote access desktop programs.
- • Experience working within a similar Application support position dealing with external clients/customers
- • Strong knowledge in cloud computing (AWS)
- • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- • Motivation to learn new skills and technologies
- • MUST have understanding/experience in scripting languages such Python or Shell/BASH.
- • Good understanding of web Services, API and IP based protocols
- • Understand Unix/Linux environment
- • Understand of PostgreSQL database systems
- • Worked with network monitoring and data analytics tools like Splunk
- • Critical thinker, problem-solving and time-management skills
