  11. About the role:
  12.  
  13. The Application Support Engineer will be working in the Ops Team. You will be working on and ensuring service targets and SLAs are met including the following:
  14. • Take ownership of customer issues and bugs reported and see problems through to resolution
  15. • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues
  16. • Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams (e.g. developers)
  17. • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
  18. • Ability to write small snippets of code or scripts to resolve certain issues.
  19. • Build and maintain custom reports and monitoring dashboards.
  20. • Prepare accurate and timely reports
  21. • Document knowledge in the form of knowledge base tech notes and articles
  22. • Monitor application and infrastructure services through tools provided

  24. Requirements
  25. • Comfortable working in and assisting others through company help desk software, such as Jira in addition to other remote access desktop programs.
  26. • Experience working within a similar Application support position dealing with external clients/customers
  27. • Strong knowledge in cloud computing (AWS)
  28. • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  29. • Motivation to learn new skills and technologies
  30. • MUST have understanding/experience in scripting languages such Python or Shell/BASH.
  31. • Good understanding of web Services, API and IP based protocols
  32. • Understand Unix/Linux environment
  33. • Understand of PostgreSQL database systems
  34. • Worked with network monitoring and data analytics tools like Splunk
  35. • Critical thinker, problem-solving and time-management skills
