  1. [TLDR; scene where lisa shows CH + Frostie the real hideout/hands out christmas presents]

  5. Looks like we know what CH's nickname is going to be now. Gives off big Yamper energy, tbh. "I have a plan for just about everything. Even for when the plan goes south." It's true; Lisa hadn't exactly told anyone about the tunnels because they were on a Rogue's level of need-to-know. Isn't an idiot, despite the gold locks y'know.. and CH probably hadn't done much yet because she wanted to make sure he could handle the boring stuff before they got down to brass tacks. He might've been in a good place with the Batfam, but if you're hanging out with the Rogues you're back at square one. The hatch was an old piece of garbage, circa before any of them were ever born, but the ladder leading down into the darkness was very much from their own time. Cold steel with little grippy bits for the feet go further into the depths until Lisa presses a button- and the length of the tunnel is revealed by a string of fluorescent sconces dotted along the jagged

  7. walls. A short set of paces lead them forward to an opening in the path, where they'd find the real fun stuff- the real hideout that Lisa'd been keeping from them this entire time. Can't really blame a girl for wanting to clean up a bit before the guests arrive, can you? Piles upon piles of duffel bags stack on top of each other into a pyramid against a far wall, next to a vast expanse of screens with various bits of media being fed through from the outside world. You could tell which area belonged to which rogue by the color schemes alone, and their choices in decoration. Lenny's cold gun remained untouched at the seat of his steaming ice throne, surrounded by kegs of beer and tables of unfinished projects that Lisa couldn't even hope to tinker with, even with her comparable expertise. Mick's room was basically a furnace; a giant fireplace lined with books and- you guessed it, beer. Mirror Master's corner was a giant parody of itself, s

  9. tacks upon stacks of money and broken mirrors? now, who could've done something like that? shifty eyes; cough cough. Weather Wizard's portion of the room looked like it belonged on the set of CCTV, with all of the weather forecasting equipment strewn about the place like a tornado had hit it. Trickster had a smaller room, because he was the baby, obviously, but it was your typical 20-something's fantasy. Posters of various super babes poorly taped to the walls, too much garbage, smelled awful. Couldn't even open the door because there were so many clothes piled up against it. "Home sweet home. Whaddya guys think?" Tilts her head to the side and sets herself down on a couch in her portion of the hideout, designated by her signature golden glow and all of these pretty j e w e l s. Not to mention all of her trophies and medals from skating competitions over the years. She even had an old routine of hers playing on the tv in the background.

"pbfbftfbtfb- i ain't even worried about that." he just didn't wanna get ganked by his own doppleganger of course, not likely but you never know, bao was used to his own brand of weird back in gotham and had no idea what else central city had to offer. the rogues were cool thus far either way, no pun intended this time. still, the hatch did get him curious, especially since caitlin didn't even know about it and lisa did, was that where stuff was stashed? didn't matter, wasn't his business and bao knew better than to snoop. "and how often do they go south?" smartass, though he related and could appreciate the hustle of always being prepared for the worst. nevertheless, excitement grew as they descended i

  17. nto the tunnels, always in tunnels, bao had already visited the batcave and was pretty relaxed getting down to the real hideout. the j e w e l s. each section his eyes scanned over brought about a new sense of wonder, they were all unique as hell and he couldn't help but take a little wander past each part in a circle. very much eyeing up that gun, he'd been tinkering with all of the knock offs ones caitlin mentioned before, that looked like the real deal and so much better. "props to you glider... this is cosy as hell." the smile on his face real, managing to pull his attention back to the other two, part of fighting off the urge to go touch the cold gun. it probably shoots like a dream...

  21. She had heard of the hideout, but never where it was. Cold liked to talk a bit about his little group. Not much about his sister, but she had heard of Glider. Not all that had gone on, of course, but you know how it is. Rogues stick together, they are a family, but never pry into personal business. She stepped down and eyed each and every room, and promptly froze over the door to Trickster's room. She didn't want that smell escaping that room. She would have to run into this Trickster and force him to clean on threat of becoming an icicle. Though, her attention was on Leonard's little haven. She stepped over to his chair and lifted the gun up into her hands. It was bulky,
  22.
  23. to Cait anyway, but she had seen him do some serious damage with it. She sat it back down before eyeing the tables. "I could probably finish a lot of this, given time to understand what he was going for. But the whole ice motif gets a bit much. His tech is far superior to Victor's though." She stepped out of it and back towards Lisa and Bao and sat down on the couch, next to Glider. "Doesn't go south often, to be fair. Not anymore, anyway. These days we've kept to ourselves, and Red seems content in us taking care of the clown problems. Then again, he's a Leaguer now. Big time hero. Gotta be there at all them ceremonies where people stroke his ego as much as much as they su-

  25. ." And she silenced herself with a sip of coffee she had brought down from uptop. She had replaced the coffee maker with one of those that had multiple functions. Espresso, French Press, and the normal. She liked her coffee, and it was rather great to be honest. "Anyway, so why show us this now? I was just getting all comfy upstairs." Cait had been redecorating the Tiara for a week or so now since she arrived. And, oddly enough, she was making it a home. No real ice motifs except the ones that designated it as an ice rink. Another sip of coffee before she grinned. "Though, down here is definitely cozy. I can see why you all liked it. Little personalized rooms and everything.

  29. "Things always go south. If they don't, score's probably not too worth it. But, we have had a rare quiet streak as of late. Probably because there aren't enough people in the city to make noise." Lisa didn't mind that at all, but nothing ever stays quiet for long. All the more reason to let everyone in on the fact that they weren't completely out of the game; just getting their equipment set up in a new place. He wouldn't have to worry about weird dopplegangers showing up unless Sam was hiding around somewhere; he was the one who was into making people 'face themselves' or whatever. Ugh. Yes, always tunnels. The underwater fortress is being repaired for leaks right now, sorry about it. There were a handful of very large, very metallic doors that also lurked along the wall
  30.
  31. in poorly measured increments. More secrets. More tunnels, to be exact. Two of these doors stood out from the rest, light seeping out from beneath the cracks to tease them with what might lie within-- but Lisa would get to that part in a second. Right now she was focused on dusting off a big ol' briefcase, coated in brushed steel and tied up all pretty with a bow so it was inherently obvious what was going on, but she could do all of this from the couch with minimal effort. Ribbons. "I know, I should've told you guys a lot earlier but-" Peeks over at the two backlit doorways, with a smile. "That might've ruined the surprise, and I didn't want that. We can convert the upstairs to a common area for all of us, but down here's where we have the room to work on things properly, a

Knows that being stuck anywhere with a group of people put them all at risk of wanting to strangle each other, so having their own respective spaces was a quality of life change that was desperately needed. Metal smacks against metal to signal attention to the long briefcase Glider retrieved from stage-right. "That's for you. For my favorite ice queen," she gestures with a ribbon to the leftmost exit. "Your gift is behind door number one my dear. It's not completely finished, but I don't think I'll be able to get it all done before the holidays are over." Door number two was meant for Ono, but she'd wait to show him this once he came home. Can't blame a girl for being too excited about the gifts she'd been making for everyone, now can you?

"man, they gotta crack a window or something..." he muttered to himself and moving past trickster's room and raises a brow towards frost. "victor-- oh, gotham's very own fridgeman, right." another batman villain, course he heard of that one too, bao had a thing for heroes and thus couldn't actually disagree with cait's take on the league. "yeaaah they kinda do... except wonder woman, she's great and done nothing wrong ever." a true fanboy to the end. "consider me surprised all the same glider, starting to think i need to make my own hideouts underground like all the cool kids do." he couldn't fool himself, he kn

"oh, h okay, lessee-" case taken, bao took a step back and set it down on a surface. click, click. latch undone and eyes going wide at what he was seeing. "oh this is..." it was a baseball bat, a metal one, weighted and-- s h i n k. a hidden button at the handle and an ice shard poked out of the top like a blade. "absolutely kickass. thanks!" urge to take practice swings? yes, stepping to the open space away from frost and lisa to give it some practice swings. v w o o s h.

  43. "Oh, a gift for me?" She rose to her feet and smiled, watching Bao open up his gift. The look on his face as he stepped away to practice with his new toy and Cait had to giggle at that. "I think you've made his day. Some of your brother's old ideas or tech or...?" She'd wait for the response before giving a stretch and turning to stare at door number one. She was curious as to what was behind it and her steps soon took her towards it as she made sure to dodge the kid swinging his new bat. He was going to do some serious damage with that, and it was going to bring a smile to Cait's face every time he did. "So, I'm curious, Lisa. What did you get me?" She hadn't really asked for anything, so she was entirely in shock that a gift had been given to her at all. To the door she went, hand coming up and turning the knob before pushing it open. She'd step in, eyes scanning the room she would find herself in and what it all contained.
  44.
  45.
  46. /me That was the hope, that he'd have everything he needed to take down whatever the world had to offer. With a little more time, Bao might just get his own room down here. Just depends on how long he plans on sticking around, really. Renovations could be done rather quickly though. Being the former teenage daughter of an alcoholic ex-cop means that you're the one doing all of the repairs to the trailer, and she learned how to get good at that mighty quick after crushing her thumb with a hammer seven or eight times. Hell, if he cleans up Trickster's old room he can have it; he'd probably get a kick out of those shoes of his for sure. Walking on air is always a treat. She's only been able to locate one of them so far, though, so.. yeah. Might just be better to make new ones if he's looking to indulge in that. Axel probably wouldn't mind all that much. Rising to her feet, she kicks a leg behind her to glide along the floor, coming to a stop just past the entrance to Frostie's room. Inside, she'd find the cutest, mini-est S.T.A.R. Labs setup, complete with all of the Absolute Zero research Lisa had scrounged up from Lenny's files stacked up next to the racks of test tubes and bunsen burners. One button press would take the whole testing area and tuck it back under the fume hood, so the place didn't seem so crowded. In its place was a coffee bar that any barista would die to work at, she just didn't have time to stock it at present. Off to the left, the coziest, comfiest little cabin you never knew existed underground. Well, not really a cabin per se; the walls were lined with fake wood for the look but you do your best with what you have. A sweet little fireplace aimed at the bed, stacked high with pillows and blankets. A side door would slide open to reveal an en suite sauna, big enough to squeeze four or five people if they shacked up close to each other. It wasn't completely furnished yet, but she assumed that Cait would want to make her own additions here and there now that she actually knows this place exists. "So, uh.. you like it?" Heard the sound of ice shattering in the distance; Bao must be enjoying his gift- good.

  50. had e v e r y intention of doing damage with this thing, maybe take it apart at some point to learn how the thing works and figure out some ideas, maybe throw them at lisa later on. she was good at this cold tech stuff, he was learning more and with a workshop space down here? he'll have plenty of space for trial and error. that said, bao had no idea how long he'd be in town for, till all the clowns were dead of course, definitely gonna be back in time for christmas and if things weren't solved by then, he'll just have to head back. he wouldn't mind taking one for the team and venturing into axel's room, gonna clean up. he gets the feeling that lisa and cait wouldn't stand for his kind of lifestyle. an organized mess? he'll see where the line is drawn, giving him the chance to step on air was a dangerous thing and yet, should totally do it.
  51.
  52. bao didn't exactly have any abilities, just his smooth brain and bat-bat plus a few gifts from friends in the barfam. he's gotta work on his own stuff at some point. till then, there was another swing and aforementioned shatter of ice. he was a lot better with a bat than the sword, more time to practice, it acted like an ice glaive in some ways and-- "hmm?" readjusting his grip, bao found himself twisting the bottom of the bat's handle, the tip of the bat suddenly iced over and from the side with a sudden s h i i n k formed a spiked. like an icepick. "okay, the rogues have no chill and i'm on board with it." muttering to himself more than anything and wasting a moment or so to give it a few more practice swings. not hitting anything and just getting a feel for it, he didn't know how long the cooldown on this thing was after all. h e h.

  56. For the maybe the second or third time in her entire life, Cait was speechless. The place was... It was amazing. Her eyes glanced over the set-up and she was already imagining the formulas that were being crunched in her head. She glanced over the displays, and just everything. And that Absolute Zero research? That was going to see a lot of use soon, and she might have to examine a few of his own things from his room. She had to keep her hands from shaking in pure delight. She wanted to squeal, and she hadn't even seen the entire thing just yet, either. "Oh... Oh.. You.. You didn't have to do this, Lisa.." She was simply stunned by all of it, and she accidently the button that pushed it all away to reveal the coffee bar. Her eyes practically twinkled as tears formed in her eyes at the happiness that swelled in her heart. Ever since becoming Killer Frost, though she just went by Frost most
  57.
  58. days, she had to basically fight for everything she had. Literally everything, even from S.T.A.R. They wouldn't help her. She ended up in Belle Reve, and the 'wardens' there were even worse. When she got picked up for Task Force X, she was... She didn't like talking about it. Especially when Waller decided to stick her in the same cell with a pyromancer. To test her, to make sure she could maintain her control. It was bloody awful! She kept her gaze focused, through those tears, as she thought about how she.. She had a home.. A family in the Rogues. And for that, she made the decision she would back up Lisa on almost anything she wanted. A dangerous gamble, to some, but being gifted this was not something she had expected, let alone knew was happening. No wonder Lisa had been gone all those times. She was working on this. Her eyes spotted the cabin and the fireplace and... Oh, she was going
  59.
  60. to do a lot of sleeping on that bed. That bed looks comfy and cozy and warm. The Sauna was another ice pick into her thawing heart as she couldn't hide the squeal of delight that finally freed itself from her. She turned around and stared at Lisa. She had a few ideas now, as well, to add to this room of hers, but she'd wait til Lisa was done first. Didn't want to mess up any more plans that Lisa had in mind for the room itself. "Like it..? I love it.. I may not leave my room for a few days once it's all done. This was.. You really didn't have to." She stepped over close, her eyes catching sight of the wardrobe that was actually stocked. And she saw that hint of gold. Damn, Lisa went and did it, didn't she? She couldn't hide her own glee though as she stepped up and promptly kissed Lisa on the lips. Just a small, gentle and quick thing. "Thank you, Lisa. This really means a lot to me."
  61.
  62. Well, to be honest, Lisa thought it was kind of necessary. She'd been alone for... couldn't even remember how long since she started hiding out in the Tiara- and as time rolled forward and days turned into weeks, then months without hearing from her family.. she didn't know how much longer it would have been before she had a complete and total breakdown from the stress of taking care of the city on her own. Nearly took all of that rage out on Ono when she discovered him on the run in Central, but instead of taking him out like she would with any other thug that honed in on their turf, she let him into her life. Lenny told her a lot of stories about Cait in the past, and while he likely displayed a chilly demeanor to Frostie in the past he made sure to let Lisa know that she was good people in his eyes. So there was no doubt in Lisa's mind when it came to her being one of them, if the care she'd put into the gift wasn't enough of an indication of that. Just wants to be able to show the people that are important to her that they are, in fact, important to her. Masks always have this habit of... forgetting who they were behind it. Glider's good at trying to remind them that they're still people, underneath it all. 2/2 successful gifts given, and she's practically glowing as a result. And, if Frostie's got some ideas for the place now that she's seen it, go nuts. Things'll go a lot smoother now that the renovations aren't being done at the dead of night while everyone else is sleeping. Watches with her hands folded behind her back as Frostie inspects the room, a small smile skirting around her teeth. Did take a moment to curl a tendril behind Cait's neck, just to extend the lifespan of that kiss for a second longer- then drops it with a wink. "Don't mention it Cait. You needed a proper induction into the crew, after all." Will assist Bao in the cleaning of Axel's room, but she's not going to be tangible until the stank disappears. And he'll always have a place to crash if and when he decides to head back here, futons aren't the least bit difficult to steal these days. Plus, now that he's got his own ice pick he can probably dig out his own room if he really wanted to, in theory.
  63.
  64. frostie:
  65.
  66. Thanks again. I really mean it.. This has been the first group to really accept me, Lisa. And for that, whatever you need from me.. I'll give it." She nodded before stepping back as she thought about what she would do to the room before she realized something. "You.. held me a bit there. Are you..?" She didn't even know what to ask in her current mindset. She just wanted to give that little show of affection as thanks while she got her head on straight and then.. Well, she had to.. UGh, now her brain was all messed up. "I.. Ah.. I know I've been rather clingy, but you've just been there to help me with my heat issue.. And I wanted to give you like.. Something too, but.. I.." Cue the snarky ice queen being at a loss for words right now. She was still in her early twenties, and still trying to find out and figure out herself in all of that big wide open mess that was the world. "Damn
  67.
  68. it. Even got me so flustered I can't even come up with any ice puns to try and get myself back on track." She smiled then and shook her head. "We can talk about that when.. Whenever you want. I just don't know what to say right now." She had set the coffee she had made down and went to pick it up off the counter to sip at it, her brain trying to fix the crash that had just happened when she realized that Lisa had held that kiss a bit longer on her own volition and the wing really, really messed with Cait too. Yeah, they'd been cuddly and affectionate and making little passes, but she didn't expect it to go anywhere. And now, with this wonderful gift, she didn't want to seem like she was being influenced by it either. Lisa had been.. Had been really nice to her, after all. "And... We might need to go see if he needs anything. Since we still have to figure out what those clowns wanted."

  73. Responds with the tiniest of smiles, along with the press of an extended index finger to her own lips soon thereafter. "Hey, my hands are free. Must've been a ghost." Little shrug, she's always been a major flirt but on the rare occasion she finds people that she can really vibe with on a personal level-- Cait was slowly but surely becoming one of those people in her eyes.. but Lisa was hesitant, for some reason. Something she'd been mulling over in her head wasn't working out for her, but we all know that feelings often bubble forth regardless of how diligent we'd like to be with them. So, like always, she kept quiet and left it on a shelf to deal with it later. This moment, right here? Was her, looking at the issue, squinting at it, and putting it back. Relationships have never worked for her. Not once, not never. Hence all of the shattered mirrors in Sam's corner of the room. They hadn't even spoken since they broke up, and he was the one Rogue she didn't miss all that much. Ugh. Makes her grumpy just thinking about it. Rounding back to the original point: Getting really cozy with her crew members was a touchy subject for her. Fun's fun, and she's all about that, but once you start putting labels on things, she'll start getting antsy. But... shook her head. She couldn't let herself get distracted by that right now. Cue Bao's perfect timing in the request for a Hazmat suit, which they probably had one or two of stashed away somewhere. They've done a lot of raids on radioactive waste sites. You'd be surprised just how much people will pay for some old glowy goop, man. "There's gotta be something in these piles of equipment. If not, we can just nab one from S.T.A.R. Labs, no biggie."
  74.
  75. frostie:
  76.
  77. She nodded a bit at that and sighed. It would be something to discuss at another time, when feelings got to a point that it would have to be discussed. For Cait, she knew how she felt, but there was a case that it could be influenced by how accepting and nice Lisa had been. The fact that the Glider had gone out of her way to make this place home, to help with that heat dependency, and to just... It was hard for Cait to deny any kinda feelings that were cropping up at this moment. But there was one more case for her where she was more than happy to let it drop: Her power. For Cait, she had that heat dependency. She couldn't deny, couldn't stop it, and there was a case where she needed it to survive. Her power was great, even more so than Cold or Freeze, but it
  78.
  79. was also going to kill her. She would die without that heat... And she could take the heat of others. And for that, she was scared. She didn't want to fall in love, especially with someone like Lisa who she already cared deeply for, if her power was just going to push her away from them... Or worse, where she would be their death. Wake up after having exhausted her power only to find the woman she had pledged herself to dead next to her, a lifeless frozen husk. Caitlin shivered and almost instinctually backed away, already afraid that she would be the death of the woman who had taken her in. For Frost, she had been wandering the streets of central, starved. It was the fall, and she didn't know what she was going to do after she left the League. She was even surp

  81. rised that Bamtan had even helped her get into the League in the first place, after what she did for task force X. A shake of her head as she shivered with a cold chill that wasn't even her own doing. It was the case that she was just.. Afraid. "Y-yeah. Let's go see what he wan-.. Or, he'll find one on his own. He's a stubborn kid, ain't he? Well, if he cleans out that room, then I don't see why he can't." Caitlin had the smart mind to know that something was up with all those smashed mirrors. And why, any time Lisa spoke, she never mentioned Mirror Master. And for now, Cait was more than happy to just have their on again, off again fun and the night time cuddles under the heated blanket. She was so happy for it.. It saved her from feeling the need to isolate..
  82.

  84.
  85. Well, call it avoidance at its finest. Lisa's technically the leader of their entire outfit while Lenny's away, and the last thing she needs is a civil war between Rogues the day he comes home. Because with Lisa's luck, that's exactly what'll happen. That, along with the fact that perhaps she might have been catching feelings for more than one person- so yeah, plug that funny bone into the mix and you can understand what she's been going through for the past few weeks. In her opinion, staying where she is seems much more appealing than moving forward. Gotta love that anxiety borne from years of abuse from people that are supposed to care for her. Honestly, the work has been a welcome distraction to keep her occupied and away from these trains of thought. As for the risk of hurting her, she really didn't have to worry about it. Glider can't get hurt unless she wants to be. Perks of being a ghost type, if we're continuing with Bao's pokemon theme from earlier. Though it wasn't easy to deny that she felt an invisible serpent coiling around her chest and s q u e e z i n g, until she had to really focus on catching her breath. Eyes graze over the scene outside of the door and she spares one painful glance at the shattered bits of reflective glass in the corner of the room. Anyone who has that conversation with her is going to have a hell of a time. Sharp beeping sounds from a random monitor, stage left. [SIDE DOOR. INDIVIDUAL ENTRY. MALE. IDENTITY INDETERMINATE.] Oh. Looks like Ono's finally home. She'd spare him most of the pleasantries that she'd given Frostie and CH, for the sake of letting him see his Christmas present a bit earlier andtohelpeasethetensionhereAHEM. So, without much warning, Ono would feel her arms wrapping around his waist and pulling him down through the floor of the ice skating rink, smack dab in the middle of the hideout that had been here under their noses the entire time. Well, the two of their noses, perhaps, but not hers.

That had just served to make him tense, feeling like a rattlesnake coiled up and shaking it's tail but nobody was heeding the warning. partially his fault since there really was no warning... every effort had just been made instead to conceal the signs of his stressors to avoid worrying them. whether they would be worried for his sake or their own was somewhat of an unknown, but either way it was a complication none of them needed right now. yet still... his trigger finger itche

Lisa, she knew how to make an entrance. Where Ono found himself, once Glider decided it was time for them to be solid again, was nowhere he recognized. Yet it must be under the Tiara? That was the only thing that made sense. Half turning to her, the assassin tilted his head. [S'okay. Just glad that I recognize your fast enough not to pull a weapon when you do that.] Wandering eyes caught sight of Cait too, and the ice queen was offered a nod, before he began projecting his thoughts to Lisa again. [Where... exactly are we?]

  95. /me Part of her always feels a pang of worry whenever Ono went off on his own, but then again that's a feeling that's been getting more and more commonplace as time ticks by. For him, Cait, even Bao, though her reluctance to admit it hardly outweighs the evidence provided to the three of them here today. Speaking of which, hey Ono. Welcome to the real hideout. If he's wondering why she hasn't gotten any sleep ever these past few weeks, he could understand why now. She'd been moving things in from various Rogue stashes scattered around the city. Trickster's room non-withstanding, of course- wouldn't dare to touch any of his stuff. Shudders at the thought. Didn't seem all too worried about his comment regarding putting a gun to her head, in fact, it made her smile a little bit. "Aw, but you know it reminds me of how we first met~" Yep, he totally pulled a weapon on her. Probably because she phased through the door of the truck he was trying to steal at the time, but-- details. Who needs them right? Not her, not today. "So. This is the real hideout, er... sorry for keeping it a secret, but I needed to make a few additions for our newest members. Heh." Cue the classic, rubbing the back of her head coupled with nervous laughter. She points with a ribbon over to the door next to Cait's room, rocking back and forth on her feet as she does so. "Soooo, there's your present. Sorry, I should've put bows on the doors." Gosh- wha- she's so dumb, can't even plan to do it next year because-- ugh. RAGE. That would've made the gifts perfect, but whatever.

  100. this was... certainly something. Now that his head was clear of murderous temptations and he could more easily consider it, Lisa's absence of sleep had definitely rendered him equal parts worried and curious this past week. Knowing that she was doing something, but not WHAT she was doing, was a small irritation that served nonetheless to positively build-up whatever reveal she had planned. And yeah, this was interesting so far. He'd been unaware of the lower section of the hideout, though in hindsight perhaps it shouldn't have been surprising as it was. the Rogues were, after all, a large group of thieves and villains. Why take anything about their hideout at face value? Unseen eyes slowly peered about this little secret project of hers, and before long a somewhat hoarse yet very audible whistle freed itself from his throat. [It's... it's fine, Lisa. You're entitled to some secrets.] The pause wasn't a struggle in him admitting it, it was a small hitch in his concentration as she pointed out the door. His, present? Coat was deposited softly on the floor, it's interior bloodstains forgotten. The broad-shouldered mute approached the door and lifted one gloved hand, the scars of his forearm revealed in better lightning as he gripped the nob. An entire room... or something within? [ You Really didn't need to, you know. ] But his mind-tone betrays some curiosity, and with a twist of the nob he pushes it open.

  104. Had she been blessed with a little more clarity, she'd probably say that he was worrying about her too much. She thought everyone who worries about her worries far more than they actually should. Thankfully, there weren't that many secrets between the Rogues collectively, they just all had their demons and preferred to keep them close to the chest. Understandably so, of course- broken people aren't easily repaired, if at all, so why not just pile up on top of someone else's shattered bits and hope for the best? At least, that's how Lisa likes to view it. Anyway, once she fiddles with something on a touch screen to the side, she floats over towards the door and enters the room alongside him. Inside?

  106. Well, hopefully he'd like it. The room was simply furnished, until you looked at the wall to the left and pressed a button on the doorframe-- to reveal a fully stocked weapons display, with brand new, personalized versions of the weapons Lisa noticed he'd taken a shine to. Most of them were made of high-carbon steel, so they'd be a little more durable so long as he made sure to keep them from rusting. Of course there'd be a bowie knife and a beretta, front and center on top of the display. Knows his cleaning and maintenance habits, so she figured it would be fine. The theme here was black with white stripes, if he hadn't already noticed- and it also extended to the room itself. But the best part about

  108. the present, [no, it's not the medkits she stocked up for him] was the door next to his bed. Like Cait's room, it also contained a shower and a closet that she'd stocked up for him, but she also put in some extra work: Using Sam's Mirror Dimension tech and a bit of Lex Luthor's hard light tech to construct a virtual reality training simulator. Didn't expect her to give him all of these weapons without a place to test them out, did he? Pfft, not on your life. She even managed to hook up his earbuds to the system while he was asleep one night, so it was already calibrated and ready for use whenever he was. "I know I didn't need to do it, but- I wanted to, silly. You deserve a place to call your own too."
