Naraku's personality is mainly based off him being a manipulative bastard, he commonly sends his lackies to do his dirty work, making sure to have a veil over him to keep him behind the scenes. He has no sympathy for others, nor pity, he shows him manipulative abilites many times. From Kikyo's death, to holding Kagura's heart, he has no trouble using others like puppets. As concerning Kikyo, it is possibly that he loved her in the past, but since his heart has been removed..quite literally, he has no trouble destroying her as well. It is apparent he has rage within him, though he seems to half-control this throughout the anime by using his puppets and reincarnations to tease the InuYasha and Sesshoumaru group. There are some points where it seems that Naraku has kindness within him, but it is easily smashed to pieces when it is then provided that he is once again manipulating others into his own doing.
