BACKGROUND ; she was born in nagano, japan. being the city hat hosted the winter olympics on her day of birth, she grew up with an interest in winter sports. she would watch videos of winter sports competitions on the internet and go skiing with her family whenever it snowed. she would study hard so that if she got good grades, she could go on holiday overseas to other ski resorts.

her parents wanted her to become a professional skier seeing that she enjoyed the sport a lot and was significantly good at it. they even proposed to move to a place called winter island where it snowed all year long if she agreed to take on skiing. however, she secretly had an interesting for another sport called luge as it was fast-paced and thrilling. her only problem was the fact that her mother would be against it knowing how dangerous it was and she was worried for her daughter's safety.

when she turned 15, she told her father about it and he said he supported her passion. her family talked about it and with her mother reluctantly agreeing, they moved to winter island so that inhye could start her dream as a luge racer on the condition that her mother would force her to stop luge racing if ever she got seriously injured. they continued life in winter islands with inhye as a luge racer and kyuhyun as a mogul skier.

WHY DO YOU COMPETE IN IT? ; ever since i was young, i found luge racing really thrilling because of how dangerous it is. in my opinion, luge racing isn't really as common as skiing or skating so i thought it would be fun to do a different sport for a change. that's kind of why i decided to take up luge racing.

WHY DOES YOUR LOVE INTEREST COMPETE IN IT? ; speed skating was a sport i enjoyed watching and was interested in because i went ice skating with my friends whenever i was free. i only got into speed skating when moving to winter island and even though i do slip and fall at times, i'm happy to say i am a speed skater because it's really not that easy.



DO YOU ENJOY IT? ; yes, of course i enjoy the thrill of speeding down a slippery course at extremely high speeds on a sled. jokes aside though, the sport is something i really take pride in because it requires quite a bit of strength to manoeuvre through the course and make it to the end. not many people get to say they're a luge racer so i'm proud of my sport.

DOES YOUR LOVE INTEREST ENJOY IT? ; of course i do! it's basically my childhood hobby but much faster and more intense. being a competitor in this sport makes me feel proud of myself to have taken up such a great sport that's fast and fun.

“ where’s my shovel? ” - she says this when she feels the need to dig a grave either for herself when she wants to die of embarrassment or for someone else when she feels like strangling them.

“ see you in one piece! ” - she always says this at the start of ever race to express reaching the end of the race with no accidents or injuries.

“ and this is the part where i plug out your life support. ” - she says this whenever she wishes to escape from a conversation or she just particularly dislikes whoever she's talking to.

“ KONO INHYE DA, WRYYY!! ” - it's her own twist to an iconic line by her favourite narcissist, dio brando. everytime she says it to her brother, he cracks up and they start referencing iconic lines for the next 20 minutes. she says it whenever she feels like it, maybe she's high or something, who knows.

“ you'll really be scared when i learn to turn my head 270⁰ ” - she jokes about this whenever her friends are scared. due to her nickname of an owl, she finds it funny to think of herself being able to turn her head 270⁰ and scare her friends that way.

“ i might set the rink on fire! ” - he likes to joke about setting the rink on fire because of the fast speeds of the sport and because he's quite confident in himself. he will say this phrase to his friends as a joke before he actually goes speed skating.

“ ice queen, you need to melt down a little. ” - he likes to tease inhye by saying this whenever she's frowning at him. normally she responds by rolling her eyes at him but hugging him not long afterwards.

“ okay, gotta skate! ” - he just likes saying it whenever he needs to go somewhere. because he's really fond of skating, he basically replaces the word 'go' in these situations e.g "okay, i'll skate over to your house now!"

“ or i will use my hamon on you... ” - a classic jojo reference because he too is a fan of it like inhye. he says this whenever there's an 'or else' situation. whenever he says this to someone who isn't a fan, their confusion is priceless.

“ y'all shut up, i am a real skater boy! ” - due to the recent trends of skater boys, he made a joke out of it saying he was a skater boy but instead of skateboards, it's ice skates. dumb pun award right here.


RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT ;

BEGINNING ; they met during a large winter sports festival being held on the island. they didn’t know each other well and it was a little hard for them to start off since they had a lot of differences. changmin was the first to break the ice. being the bubbly boy he was, he decided to approach this silent but charming girl. he started with a small conversation with inhye, asking her about the sport she participated in and how she liked the island but she gave him cold responses. she was actually really surprised that he bothered to approach a girl like her. he didn't stop the conversation though and as inhye knew she couldn't escape it, she continued talking too. as they continued talking, she loosened up and was a lot nicer to him the next time they met. they soon became quite close friends.

MIDDLE ; inhye got used to having a bubbly, hyper dolphin as a best friend and actually enjoyed having him around. she smiled when she saw him and laughed at his terrible jokes. changmin was also enjoying the company of the little ice queen. they took the time to go spectate each others competitions and texted or called each other daily. inhye soon realised she was developing feelings for her best friend and it felt weird to her. she started acting a little nervous around changmin, scared she would lose her closest friend if he ever found out. he did eventually find out and since he also had feelings for her, he decided to confess.

END ; catching inhye by surprise, changmin confessed to her after winning finals with her luge team. she told him about all her confusing feelings for him and said yes to being his girlfriend and that's how the two weirdos became lovers. their teammates would tease them and cheer "minhye" whenever they saw them together, making inhye blush and changmin giggle.
