Across the site

I cuffed my jeans and started to stroll across the site.  It was so muddy, and I was wearing heels, but I figured I could make it.  Unfortunately the mud was just so soft.  My stilettos were sinking, and the wet mud bubbled up around my ankles.  I couldn’t believe how deep and sticky this mud was.  I was in real trouble.  I struggled, but I was up to my ankles in soft, thick mud, and my stilettos were being sucked off my bare feet.  I shouldn’t have worn these slutty heels out in the mud, but now I’m stuck.
