Monbrey PXR Ban Statement

Hi Swift,

Our senior admin team have been discussing the URPG's situation since the BMG ban, specifically Monbrey and the sexual harassment incidents he was involved in. The information we have is limited to that which has been posted publicly on PWN, but from that we feel uncomfortable having Monbrey here at the PXR community. Therefore, wehave banned him from the PXR forum on a permanent basis. Though the URPG may feel as though Monbrey's credentials and contributions outweigh the severity of his actions, we have discussed this thoroughly and we do not agree given the severe nature of what transpired.

Even though these incidents occurred during a time when PXR was only in a developmental phase, we have considered it that if PXR had been fully formed at the time and we had been made aware of these incidents as soon as they had happened, he would have been immediately banned permanently and such a ban wouldn't have been ever lifted due to the high severity of what transpired. Though Monbrey did come forward and apologize for his actions, we feel our first priority is for the protection of our members, which does include members that Monbrey has harrassed in the past. Further, we find the reports of Monbrey joking about the events which transpired years later to be especially damning. We do not want to scapegoat Monbrey and we understand that there were many others involved in these sorts of incidents, but we have only the information posted publicly. We have already banned the account of LS the Door Mat based on this information, but have been unable to determine if any other problematic members have accounts on PXR. If you know of anyone else with an account here who was involved in sexual harrassment in the past then we would appreciate you letting us know!

We realize that while these incidents didn't happen very recently, they did happen nonetheless and we feel they're very serious. To us, the time lapse between then and now is irrelevant. In the past, our staff have personally heard of sexual harassment and child pornography cases causing the FBI to become involved, which illustrates just how serious these types of incidents are, and if such an incident occurred on PXR, I know our staff wouldn't hesitate to get the authorities involved. Beyond even the legality of the matter, these incidents are traumatizing, humiliating, scarring, and can be emotionally destructive to the victims that have been affected by these kinds incidents.

We understand Monbrey has a leadership role in the URPG and this may make things difficult for you. We are still 100% happy to have the URPG on our forum and you are most welcome to continue on here, but we ask that Monbrey refrains from participating on our forum or official chats such that battles, events, or activities that take place on PXR will not be handled or influenced by Monbrey or by any other PXR-banned members in any shape or format. If this makes it impossible for the URPG to function on PXR, we understand you may choose to leave our forum, but we hope something can be worked out and we are happy to assist in any way we can.

Going forward, we would also like to make it clear that we fully expect to be informed of any incidents which break our forum rules, including harassment, sexual or otherwise, as we take this very seriously and would not hesitate to remove those members from PXR even if the incidents happened off-forum. We know you've already taken steps to do this by setting up threads on PXR to notify us and we thank you for that, and for your openness during this whole affair.

Sorry to dump this on you as a new leader. We feel the URPG has a bright future but we can't stand by and do nothing in this case due to the severity of the incidents brought to light. We appreciate your understanding and are happy to discuss this with you further and answer any of your questions.

I appreciate you reaching out to me regarding everything. It means a lot to be kept in the loop about the circumstances involving your decision. I fully support your decision; I understand it was not an easy one to make. Right now, the URPG is tasked with determining Monbrey's future with us as well and we would appreciate help from you and your Staff for some outside perspective. I have created a server on Discord and invited you. I hope you'll join us for some important discussion moving forward. URPG currently relies heavily on Monbrey for both technical and leadership reasons, so we would need all the help we can get moving forward with this decision and its consequences.

We will remain fully transparent with you on anything/anyone we deem to be a threat. We at URPG love PXR as a community and would never want to be complacent towards anyone who would do harm to it. I am at your disposal in this regard with any questions you may have.
