Izana: I must! A yummy feast waits! / And we still need to fix up / your unruly bedhead!

Izana: That wasn’t at all like her usual excuses.
Izana: [frown] Did she…? No, she couldn’t have.

Mitama: [eyes closed] I dream many dreams. They can’t all be omens.

Izana: Maybe they were just giving you a one-time heads up?
Mitama: [frown] Why is it, Father, that your gift becoming mine bothers you so?

Mitama: [blush, closed eyes] Zana and Zama. I remember.
Izana: [smile] It was so cute!
Izana: Y’know, I’ve spent my whole life trying to put things the gods say into words normal people understand.
Izana: Then you come along, and you make people understand. There weren’t words for what you wanted me and Zama to be, so you made them, just like that!
Izana: I’ve received a LOT of presents in my time… but that name was the nicest I’ll ever get.
Izana: [pout] I guess that’s why I gave you those silly nicknames.
Mitama: [eyes closed] Not to patronise, but to build a bridge?
Mitama: But why dismiss me in the first place?
Izana: [sad] Seeing the future’s a horrible burden. Truth is, the idea of you enduring it terrified me.
Izana: Once you start knowing the answers, you stop caring about the questions.
Mitama: [sad] The past is the past / The future is the future / For now, we are here.
Mitama: [eyes closed] Let’s enjoy it, Zana.
Mitama: [blush] And I suppose I wouldn’t mind if you called me by a nickname. Just not in front of the others.
Izana: [smile] You know just how to keep your Zana happy, Michama!
