How do you cancel a Hetzner server?
I'm pretty sure I never authorized automatic recurring charges, but they just sent me a notice that they are going to charge me anyway. I have gone through every option on their site, and nowhere can I find anything that equates to "cancel this server I don't want it any more." The "Delete user account" warns "We could not delete your account. You still have active products on this account. Please first cancel

You need to click the server on your robot and cancel it.
Is very easy, follow these steps:

1: log in here: https://accounts.hetzner.com/login;
2: go to https://robot.your-server.de/server ;
3: select your server and use tab cancellation ;
4: select Cancellation date, specify the reason;

This is a cultural difference with Germany. I am American and I remember feeling frustrated with this kind of phenomenon when I first moved here. But in Germany it is simply the normal way of doing things. If you have a subscription (and service or product that you pay for on a monthly basis), in Germany it is automatically renewed.

We have helpful articles in our customer wikipedia about how to cancel Robot/Hetzner Cloud products (= unmanaged products) and how to cancel konsoleH products (= managed products). There is also an article that explains a phrase commonly used here in Germany: "30 days to the end of the month". However, I cannot give you those links because it would violate WHT policy since I represent a provider.

Hetzner really ought to display dates in an unambiguous international format, like 11-Dec-2019 instead of 11-12-2019, because you know how an American will read it.
