- gold dragon in pon divaya- Auricris
- elves have taken over the coast, they've captured the dragon and are harvesting its blood
- as they approach town they can see a number of elves moving various things out of buildings and loading them into carts. An elf soldier stands out, clearly the one in charge as he barks commands in elvish. It seems like there are only elves here at the moment, everyone else is gone. There is a large elven warship docked, some of the carts are being moved towards it, some are being moved up the road. Auricris's home is partially destroyed with signs of fighting and fire damage. there are obvious scorch marks in several areas of the town.
- bloodstone dragon in rograak's spire
- joe's elf target in shadestep
- kologhan's tower to croshold, trovain, eura's sound
- The ship:
- five levels with passages on the sides, access via exterior windows and stairs/ladders.
- helm/bridge- where the captain and helmsman are. halls and rooms have alarms.
- deck- open to the air, has some cargo strapped down but largely open.
- crew and galley- halls and rooms, large mess area/kitchen, rec room, brig. halls have alarms, lots of soldiers moving about.
- cargo- side access through large door, massive open room. many stacked boxes and crates, nearly to the ceiling, packed full.
- extra cargo- smaller holds below, loot?
- dragon could be in hold or helm.
- in hold, seemingly in stasis of some kind, large, golden looking shackles around its limbs and neck.
- in helm, contained in a figurine. when released, in shackles. heeds captain's commands until the shackles are broken.
- gathering stuff in Setja's Watch- production of weapons using gold dragon blood
- Party meeting with Senator Folas, a close ally of Cymyr and the one who was with him when the party helped him escape Trovain.
- He will say the orcs continue to encroach on elven lands. Sevarine will no longer sit idle as they threaten our borders and steal from our resources.
- infiltrating college in disguise
- party heading to ratcull and then north to the rats
- Ogruk's Stake: orc "army" has built a large wooden palisade wall. their leader, Magruk, great-grandson of Ogruk, walks among his followers. He just wants the elves to leave them alone. There are valuable resources inside the mountain the elves want, notably magic crystals and rare metals.
- Ratcull Keep, stationed with a pretty light number of elves currently. The rats aren't a real threat to the mainland. Cymyr has lowered pressure on the rats, no more raids to the north. More focused on the orc problem.
- Ratfolk villages to the north- don't speak common, only a few people left, one of which is an old ratfolk plague shaman. makeshift graveyard. Not much hope left. What little food they grow is sent back to Nezum. The northern one is slightly more populated, but again spirits are low, the people are thin, borderline starving.
- They say the land of Nezum is cursed, the elves bear down upon them. Their only hope is that their leader is supposedly close to solving all of their issues.
- Nezum. The island is shrouded in a cold fog. Upon landing on the shore, the ground is muddy. The plants are mostly dead. The party wanders through a village where the houses are falling in, the fields are overgrown, the decayed corpses of animals lay in their pens.
- the tribute boat docks at the capital. Armored guards meet them to escort them through the streets. The city itself is opulent, the buildings all look new, spotless, and of incredibly detailed design. there is a canal through the center of the city that the road follows. The palace itself rises above the city. The streets are empty except for more guards. as they walk, the streets are empty. As they near the palace, if they're keeping an eye out they can notice some slight discoloration in the water of the canal- something leaking into it from stone wall of the canal nearest the palace walls. they approach the palace and deposit their tribute. They're split from the village elder as led into the palace proper. There, they meet what appears to be Ink-Eyes in the flesh.
- Ink-Eyes greets them and asks why they came. Did you intend to offer yourselves as tribute to me? Perhaps you'd prefer to become tools in my hands instead? Are you truly so foolish? The elves are distracted now- the orcs stand their ground, tensions are rising, and the trouble you managed to stir up in Hundin's Guard only splits their attention further. This provides us a much needed reprieve. One we can use in the final push to truly solve the plight of the ratfolk once and for all- starting with the elves. They who have killed many of our kin, who have cast our once vibrant island home into the fog of despair. The shards of the comet no longer matter, I've found an alternate route to achieve my goals. All I need is you...so...lay down your weapons and accept your fate.
- a few guards and a puppet berserker enter, bearing weapons
- encounter: ink-eyes activates and swaps between different corpse puppets stored around the room. after each one has been active for a while, all of them become active at once. attempting to attack "ink-eyes" herself proves her body to have been a corpse puppet too, as her laughter echoes through the room.
- After defeating the puppets, a passage behind the throne becomes apparent, leading deeper into the palace, as the party fights through additional guards and into the lower levels. Below the palace are mountains of corpses, pools of blood, and more centered around an altar to seizan. more guards and puppets slow their progress towards the center, where Ink-Eyes commands her many puppets and siphons the souls of the people of nezum to consume the corpse of Seizan and become the avatar of the crystal dragon progenitor. she has a preistess of eska, which towards the end of the ritual she sacrifices to call down a new tear of eska. The Tear of Anguish. Using this new tear she becomes the avatar.
- encounter: ink-eyes herself fights with many occult and divine magics, high mobility, and fast dagger and claw attacks with poison. at low health, she reveals herself as the onyx dragon. As the fight progresses she grows closer to her goal and moves to more powerful versions of dragon.
