  1. A trip home to the Loirdne residence to seek out items for study was where the young adult, Vivica, found herself to be. Typically she never returned home this early, but today she was going to indulge herself in a reading about the spirit realm from the book her mother passed on to her temporarily.
  2.
  3. Vivica had help off reading the collection of information for far too long and with the sudden intimidation of the depraved feather delivered, she needed to get herself motivated to gain more strength.
  4.
  5. The woman was destined to be one of the strongest magi in Cinderfall. An aid in battle would likely be beneficial. Something like what she knew Thom could summon. Elementals like Indra, the lightning elemental. Except, now without her former adoptive parent's help, she had to do this all on her own.
  6.
  7. Therefore, collecting the few books she had obtained from Loranthis from the last time she went and holding the Journal of Reeve Alison, Vivica made her way towards her room, but only after completing her household chores!
  8. (Vivica Loirdne)
  9. The woman's door was shut behind her and swiftly she made her way towards her desk. A journal that Marina had given her so long ago was collected with the other informal books she had.
  10.
  11. A golden number three was embedded on the front. Typically she used this journal for runic information and writing down what she could with what she obtained in knowledge, but now it was going to be used to collect summaries of these few books she had before her.
  12.
  13. Therefore, the binding cracked, a blank page was opened to, a quill and some ink present along with the opening of Reeve Alison's journal.
  14.
  15. With Vivica's materials prepared, she was ready to learn about elementals, the spirit realm, and whatever else these informative books contained,
  16. (Vivica Loirdne)
  17. Silver eyes began to go over the pages of information. List after list, section after another. There had been a lot of things about the spirit realm contained within.
  18.
  19. Vivica gave a swift scan over the many pages to spot unfamiliar words such as the many different types of Realms, the different types of spirits, how to summon them, and their anatomy. A smile creased her lips; this was the kind of information she hoped it would contain. Now for the reading.
  20.
  21. Turning back to the first page of the text, she began to read.
  22.
  23. 'The spirit realm had been an incorporeal dimension parallel to the physical plan of Eternal where Spirits and other supernatural creatures reside.'
  24.
  25. That had been the beginning of the text followed with the few known methods of entering, which included rift magic, a ritual that allowed those involved to astral prospect as spirits, entering the lifestream and passing into the spirit world. Leaving was earlier as the text read.
  26.
  27. These notes were written. Quite useful. Of course this would likely just be Vivica making her own copy of the book yet she was only truly interested in learning about elementals. This information, for now, would suffice. Either way, it was interesting and a large piece of what she'd need to learn about elementals, right?
  28.
  29. Sure. After copying the notes, the page was flipped to begin the next category. The realm's characteristics and on the page just next to it, the beginning to a list of the many types of realms.
  30. (Vivica Loirdne)
  31. 'Characteristics: Different rules than physical world. Infinite in all directions. Geographies morph on a whim. Gravity not always constant. Common sight- physical manifestations of the lifesteam. Tangible and spiraling streams of energy that glide around. Stars may be identified. Humanoid and non-humanoid spirits.'
  32.
  33. Vivica continued to read and write, yet this information wasn't exactly necessary to have. The quill she had in hand was placed back in the ink jar for a moment. Her eyes wandered over the text again. Now information on eight realms held within the single, larger realm.
  34.
  35. Yggdrasil, the Tree of Convergence. That was the next read. That was where the flow of the life stream ultimately met. The tree was miles tall and the leaves shimmered. Vivica could only imagine what he looked like. Probably similar to the seeds and summons in the physical realm, yet they were only minor, useful for granting those around healing. The rest of the information was read and noted in her journal.
  36.
  37. Vanaheim, Realm of the Exalted. The realm closest to the first mentioned. A tree and a city, something out of a dream. The spirit who governed it was known as the Overseer, but there was nothing more. Noted, and moving on.
  38.
  39. Joruheim, Realm of the Brave. Again Vivica read and continued on. A realm with sixteen cities. The information about the wardens being the occupants was interesting. Again she wrote the notes and moved on.
  40.
  41. Helheim, Realm of the Lost. This one in particular had caught her attention. She heard about this throughout Loranthis when she was younger. It had to do with something Thom was attempting to learn, but finally she got to know about it. There was much more information on this particular realm, and Vivica read and noted all that she could by paraphrasing the more important details.
  42.
  43. Alfheim, Realm of the Meek, Uraheim, Land of the Water, and Terraheim, Land of the Mountain. There was little to no useful information on these realms or at least if there was, she may have skipped over it. (Nothing in the wiki on these three realms).
  44.
  45. Lastly, Ifraheim, Land of the Flame. Flame of the Ifrit. Again she copied and paraphrased the information in her book. Writing as small, but large enough to read legibly, Vivica managed to squeeze all of the realm information on a single page. She turned her notebook's page and the page of the Reeve's journal to continue on about the spirits.
  46. (Vivica Loirdne)
  47. Essences, Idols, Nethradin, and Wardens. Their informations were interesting. Everything Vivica read, learned, and wrote about the spirit realm was nothing but interesting.
  48.
  49. Naught but an expression of amusement rested on her visage, clearly enjoying all that she read. A great read and worth the time she was using to gain this knowledge.
  50.
  51. Essences were simple. Idols were simple, but Nethradin and Wardens were more complex spirits within the many realms. While Nethradin were akin to wardens, they also differed. They were spirits after all, but mere opposites.
  52.
  53. Nethradin were the evil spirits whereas Wardens, much like what her mother contracted with, Zuriel, were their counterparts. Nethradin existed, for their purpose, to remind the worst of spirits about their purpose or if they were capable of redemption. Yet Wardens fought against that and seeked to destroy the Nethradin.
  54.
  55. Vivica had seen her mother in action before with the Warden fulfilling its duty. Blue flames as eyes, a spirit like blade the cut through and ripped away an item and or entity, such as malpercians or likely the Nethradin, of their depravity. They were bound to carry out their duties and destroy anything that shouldn't be alive.
  56.
  57. "Wow.. and my mother contracted herself with a Warden. Incredible." She spoke to herself after writing down more of the information. This stuff was interesting, but nevertheless, Vivica carried on to continue to the next portion; Summoning.
  58. (Vivica Loirdne)
