- Dearest Princess Celestia
- I must first inform you that our Anonymous subject suffered a minor injury during an excursion into the Everfree Forest.
- The injury was treated by Fluttershy, whose experience caring for animals gave her an advantage in caring for the subject.
- He returned to the library a day later and is recovering swiftly.
- ----------
- > Twilight hovers the quill across the table and rests it in the inkpot.
- > She turns and looks over the edge of the balcony, having heard the door to the library open.
- > Spike and her bipedial houseguest are talking to each other as they walk out of the door, each carrying a chair.
- > "Spike! Anonymous is supposed to be taking it easy, you carry the chair for him."
- > "Twi, he's feeling better!, C'mon... he said it himself!"
- > "...and don't you wear him out, he's got to rest. Fluttershy said so and-"
- > Spike makes a 'blahblahblah' motion with his free hand as he and Anonymous place their chairs in a sunny spot.
- > "Hey! I know what THAT one means."
- > Twilight levitates the quill and begins writing again.
- ----------
- Anonymous has been using his recovery to build on his relationship with Spike.
- Spike has been very helpful, caring for Anonymous and still managing to help around the library.
- The close proximity, and shared adventure in the forest has led to them bonding over shared traits and likes.
- Anonymous is very similar to a p0ny in this matter.
- This bonding has led to a very interesting development that has revealed an aspect of Anonymous' culture that may
- even be unique to his kind.
- He is endevouring to teach Spike a form of communication native to his own lands.
- This communication is in the form of signs made with dexterous motions of the hands and fingers.
- Spike, being equipped for the skill, has truly enjoyed learning something that draws on his dragon characteristics.
- ----------
- > "It's also very rude not including everyp0ny in a converstion." says Twilight, sulkily.
- ----------
- In many ways, Anonymous has been a good influence on Spike.
- It's nice for him to have a male influence around aswell as someone he shares traits with.
- I sometimes forget that Spike is isolated from such things living here.
- The two of them having something to share can only be good for them both.
- ----------
- > She looks again over the balcony edge at Spike and Anonymous sitting in the sun.
- > They're laughing, talking about other creatures that Spike has seen in all of the adventures he's been part of.
- > Spike is wobbling on the chair as he mimes a rearing bear, roaring as loud as he can.
- > "...He's such a good little dragon..." Twilight smiles as she watches.
- > "*sigh* research, Twilight, research."
- ----------
- I have learned as a result of the excursion that Anonymous has a limited attention span, but can be focused on tasks
- by activity based learning.
- He is also very susceptable to emotional blackmail and has difficulty 'reading' when a p0ny is attempting such manipulation.
- If trapped or pressured, he is likely to react with poor planning and foolhardy behaviour.
- When confronted by an unexpected situation, instead of relying on patience and care he...
- ----------
- > Twilight pauses, brow furrowed and ears downtilted, the quill shaking a little as it hovers in spot.
- > "He was very brave..." She whispers to herself and continues
- ----------
- ...responded with aggression and followed a dangerous path of action that led to his injury.
- It is my theory that his kind are willing, perhaps even eager, to respond with violence when something they value is threatened.
- Your faithful student
- Twilight Sparkle
- ----------
- > " Cool! and what does this one mean?"
- "Oh, it means you think they're number one. Y'know, the best. That you like them."
- > "Wow... I gotta go now... Got some chores. You'll show me more later, right?
- "You got it, pal. Have fun out there."
- > Spike runs off happily into p0nyville, stopping at every p0ny he meets to flip them the bird.
- > You nearly break your stitches open as you try vainly to muffle your laughter.
