A bitter defeat; releasing some stress

{NARRATION} The battles on the border had been endless- fights were always breaking out, and either side had bolstered their respective defenses by hundreds. It was a warzone.

When the magi of Ardent arrived, it was already a battle- a siege attempt for the tower, pushing in to reclaim the territory...

[17:30:14] Boring day... Boring day... Hey!

The demon dudes are attacking the watchtower! JaDrako finds his self along with kaye in front of two big fishes! Dantalion the buffest demon around, and Raven the dirt devil of destruction Whos is also really nice

"Heya Raven, and Demon dude. Looks like we're fighting yea? I'd prefer we didn't, but i'm like super bored annnndddd This watch tower keeps half of our people from being absolute dummies yea? Though even with it up we still manage to lose people to idiocy..."

JaDrako's summons rise turning to him nodding. His occult winds swirl over his fore arms and ankles! He was getting really good with the morunegale stuff!

"Also demon dude you're buff as hell you gotta teach me how to get that buff." JaDrako snaps his fingers and a bolt of lightning crashes on him giving him a aura of sparking lightning!

"Now lets dance!"

[17:31:05] Following the others to the Watchtower, Kayn approached with a hint of anticipation and nervousness. This would be his first defense really, and his first life endangering battle with the Demon forces.

As the assault on the tower began, the large group was forced to scatter, dotting the landscape with smaller battles going on. Soaring through the crowds, the young Erudon met up with JaDrako, moving to assist the man with a Demon and a smaller creature - most likely a fairy.

An intense heat radiated from the Warrior before an aura of shadowflame shrouded his form. Within moments, dark winds would swirl him, doing his bidding and sucking in nearby foes as the battle raged on. Brandishing his weapon, he'd bring the cutlass around to the front as he prepared for battle.

Taking in a deep breath, he'd charge in with his ally to defeat the duo.

[17:37:04] Colourful rays spread out from the faes body, their eyes are narrowed upon the sight of JaDrako and Kayn. In this battle there had already been a plan, for Ravan to fight alongside a Kaor, either beating down one strong magi badly...Or having a battle like the one in front of them.

Even as JaDrako spoke so did they, "I'm sad I didn't get to fight you in a friendlier time! But this is war and well...Let's have a good fight." As they finished so did their preparations as a shield formed around their body and the ground around them began shaking. It seemed while speaking Ravan had been manifesting the power of the Earth around them.

Then without much further ado, they burst forth towards Kayn and JaDrako, sending forth a splendor of attacks while also assisting their partner in this situation.

"Lets go Dantalion, capture them!"

[17:37:04] "Are Outlanders so proud?" he asked and lifted an eyebrow upon the Kumo's entrance.

He flicked his finger calling upon demons that dashed from among the trees like shadows, blocking the Erudon's path.

"Annoying," he lowly growled as orbs of flame and darkness revolved around his being.

"Burn."

[17:59:15] It was nighttime, there were fires ravaging the lands around them already as forces clashed. Sprays of occultic energy were unleashed majorly by the Aetherius side, while Holy energy was unleashed in defense by the Coalition at the watch tower.

Soon the battle between Dantalion, Ravan, and JaDrako alongside Kayn began. Fire met fire, sword met holy shield. The earth quaked, holy energy cascaded across the ground only to be overtaken by Dantalions own, allowing for a strange almost forced power that once clashing against each other left a much more powerful attack then alone attacking the enemies.

With their focus upon JaDrako it all went fast, it was intense, as was all battles against someone with such speed. The earth nipped at their heels to slow them down and soon it seemed that through the two sided grinding mill that was Dantalion and Ravan, they nearly brought the man down...Alongside Kayn, who was unfortunately being mostly battered by their constant unleashes ofattacks that filled the area.

There was a click in Ravans mind, their thoughts and movements seemed to accelerate in an instant and their eyes were set upon Dantalion already about to fire off their very own wave of fire at the enemies.

"Combine." Was their only word as their wings flapped and they were already on top of Dantalion with a finger pointed at their grouped up enemies.

Cosmic, holy, earthen, pure mana...It all combined together into one big smorgasbord of a cannon that then launched and slammed into Dantalions own fire. Immediately upon impact it'd strangely fuse together, changing what was once a colourful array of its elements, into having a bright red tint to it.

It'd hit and in that single attack, send both Kayn and JaDrako rocketing back from their positions near the watchtower, all the way into the nearby Volcano not so far away, leaving imprints of their bodies. Yet unlike Dantalions own, the forces that Ravan had put into the beam were not meant for killing, or even injuring...It was meant for incapacitating, though it had failed and even left them near the cave where they could 'very' easily run.

[18:06:04] "Embrace eternity," he whispered under his breath as he pushed himself forward, sending forth a flame that snaked around the fae's holy beam.

The path to calamity was paved with destruction itself as shockwave resounded amid the reason, obliterating life itself upon its way.

Onwards, it went, as Ravan's beam itself fused with his flame, engulfing their opponents of bright, yet ominous light.

A grunt escaped his lips as he looked toward the side, his eyes cast upon the soldiers about them.

"Shall we massacre them, fae?" he asked.

[18:06:56] Ravan says, "I have no plans to kill the soldiers Dantalion, I'm a fighter, not a murderer."
[18:13:45] Dantalion says, "You will take that back once they come to kill everyone and everything you've fought for, Ravan."
[18:13:45] "Woah you guys really have it out for me huh?" JaDrako was constantly dashing around the outskirts teleporting in for quick strikes! The fae demon duo was a perfect match team. Versatility and power!

Fire, earth, and many different cosmic and holy beams were shot Drako's way he did a good job of dodging until...

"Well shit..." His feet were trapped in a marble grasp. The fae was right in front of his face. He waved at him with a smile before taking a holy beam infused with cosmic energy.

Drako was done... while on the floor he raised a thumb up to Kayn. "G-Go ge...get em t-tiger... Oof" His face hit the floor and it was just Kayn now...

After Kayn was defeated the duo rose to their feet only to see a cosmic holy fire earth beam. "Whaaaa." JaDrako looked at the beam then to kayn then back to the beam.

The longer he stared the closer it got. "Well shi-AAAAAAAAAA" JaDrako and Kayn had faced the whole beaming getting sent flying back to the Watch tower area. All while being carried away in the blast JaDrako shook his fist at the duo!

"We'll get em next time."

[18:14:36] Their battle was fierce, but ultimately a loss.

Kayn swooped in from above, raining down black fire upon his enemies while JaDrako engaged them head-on with his sword. Attempting to take on a tactical approach, the black haired teen looked around to see what kind of magics each of his opponents relied on.

However, by the time he realized what was going on, it was far too late. The damage output by the teen was not enough and soon enough he'd find himself on the floor, dragging himself along and no longer able to fly. His breaths were short and ragged. His armor had kinks in it. His hair fell over his face, messy from their heated battle.

Anger swelled up within the teen, boiling to the surface and moved his body for him as he continued the fight. Over time his attacks became less coordinated and sloppy - even choosing to ditch his sword and just throw magic at the two. Kayn slumped forward now, raising his head for one final assault but was blown away by their powerful combination magic along with JaDrako.

[18:41:04] The Valmasian stirs, nodding once, familiar eyes befalling Elizabeth between a flutter of relief and, ultimately, defeat. Tan features reluctantly twist into a sharp and fleeting simmer. Restrained. Bloodied. Beaten. Alive.

"Elizabeth," he acknowledged quietly, bloody, broken body maintain an air of steel despite the chill that rocked him to his core and the endless lacerations that drilled him from top to bottom. "Does this make us even?"

Akkako whispers: What is going on here?
[18:44:28] Ikkaku grips Olander's hands, preventing them from attempting an escape while no collar has been attached. Water has flown over Olander, numbing the wounds but a couple of the breaks would definitely take a while to recover from, and they would have a lasting cold.

"Elizabeth.." Their quiet voice can be heard. "I'm.. Dropping off a prisoner. They asked to see you.. Uh.. You two can talk but.. I'm going to be staying around.. Until Sibri or Xoconan come by. I.. I don't want them hurt.

They're not a bad person.. Just.. They made a dumb choice.." They swallowed, looking at everyone around the room, sky blue eyes stopping on Owain and lingering with a squint.. Then looking to Akkako.

"Oh.. M'am.." They bow. "Do you have any anti-magic collars?.."

[18:45:20] Olander asks, "Dumb choice?"
[18:45:20] Olander asks, "Tell me, what makes me defending my people any more stupid than you defending yours?"
[18:45:20] Olander asks, "Are we both fools in that regard?"
[18:46:11] Olander eyes Ikkaku incredulously, his tone commanding an air of calm, having accepted his ultimate fate.
(Olander)

[18:46:11] Ikkaku Ukitake says, "Fighting for Demons is dumb.. You could protect your people for fighting for them here.. By showing the Coalition how good Valmasians can be instead of.. Being another reason why the Coalition would want to hurt them.."
[18:47:02] Olander says, "So long as you believe Cruxati will not obliterate every last Valmasian, your offer - whilst one I wish I could accept - is ultimately baseless."
[18:47:02] Akkako asks, "So...whats going on here?"
[18:47:02] Olander says, "I could care less about the Demons."
[18:49:36] Elizabeth had a concerned expression whenever she had a better look at his injuries. A frown was stuck to her face, a contrast to Olander's own expression. While she wanted more than anything for this to be fine and for them to be friends, there were more pressing issues at hand.

"Even? Are you out of your mind?" she asked, shaking her head. "You're hurt, badly. What good is there in that? Did you really think I wanted to get back at you? That's absurd." she mouthed off, huffing as she turned towards Ikkaku.

A finger was pointed towards herself, as if she was in disbelief. "Me? He wanted to see me?"

[18:50:27] Kayn entered the room with silence, tailed by Ikkaku and Olander - and soon enough, Akkako. The sting of defeat hurt, especially to someone like Kayn who is used to having their way. He'd linger around, hovering above the others as he observed their interactions, raising a brow as Olander and Elizabeth spoke.

His eyes glazing over to their new prisoner, narrowing a bit before he moved to exit the place.

"Don't let him get in your heads." He'd comment before leaving.

[20:03:50] Airi Hayashi asks, "Anyone want to spar me?"
[20:06:24] Airi Hayashi says, "...."
[20:07:15] Airi Hayashi says, "oh"
[20:08:57] Airi would smile now that someone stepped in to the ring to face her. Electricity surged and sparked around her as the excitement would begin to feel her up with fighting spirit.

Time to get some training done.

The girl would reach for her dagger and pull it up to the ready. Her stance was now ready to go. A clone with identical looks would join her side, "Let's have a good fight."

[20:13:13] Leaving the prison, Kayn moved to change out of his Coalition uniform, slipping into something more comfortable and going into the arena. The usual repressed aura of shadowflame now ignited itself around Kayn, instead of it being hidden. Slipping deeper and deeper into his rage, he found himself losing control over the power within him; thus it'd leak out occasionally.

His eyes panned the open space before they settled on someone in the center of the arena, looking for a challenger it seems. Rolling his shoulders, the black haired teen flew over the walls and entered the thing, silent as Airi wished to have a good fight.

Occultic winds swirled around his being, drawing in any foe who strayed too close, only to be whipped around by the malevolent gales. Without a single word, he'd rush towards the girl without warning, starting the fight.

[20:21:45] To say the least, the fight was brutal.

Reaching her form quickly with his blade, Kayn went on a rampage, swinging his cutlass left and right and with each swipe a wave of shadowflame was released, burning the teen without a care in the world. Not to say that she didn't fight back valiantly. Their weapons clashed several times, creating a resounding echo through the arena halls but her power was nowhere near Kayn's.

The malevolent gales surrounding the teen were under his complete control, bending to his will and pulling in the girl whenever she attempted to back off and ultimately she was knocked down with one final burst of fire, amplified by an occultic vortex.

Once their match was done, he looked down at her figure, the aura of flames still burning bright around his form as he stared at her before floating off to the side.

[20:34:33] Airi was far from experienced and this fight more than proved that. The young teen would try her current best, but it'd prove rather fruitless. Illusions don't mean jack shit if your opponent just burns everything away, and she hadn't had enough experience to be able to dodge such attacks. She'd be overwhelmed.

She would quickly realize the gap between them.

Airi would attempt to retreat. She'd jump back to realize she couldn't... She'd be pulled towards her opponent.... Fuck! She'd be blasted back with Kayn's last attack. She'd watch him fly away before rising to her feet and going to the stands.

She felt a bit numb and sore, but it was nothing too serious. She could sit and recover.. Airi would let out a small sigh. It wasn't even close.
