Name: Murk LaFoe

Personality: Self-confident, sometimes mistaken for simple arrogance by outsiders. A bit of a perfectionist, with a capacity for improving upon anything that he takes interest in.
Murk tends to do what he knows, and does it well. He has had some difficulty in life maintaining close personal relationships, having little patience and interest in things such as
small talk and flirting. Considers himself a private person.

Background: Born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1979, Murk LaFoe had a relatively normal childhood. His father was in the US Navy, his mother a school teacher. At the age of 18, Murk followed in the footsteps of his father, joining the military with the goal of becoming an Army Ranger.

In September of 1998, his unit was assigned to a NATO task force and deployed to Kosovo to join the ongoing conflict there. Soon after, Murk would see combat for the first time.
In January '99, the war was growing increasingly insecure, especially in urban areas that were heavily populated. Around this time, he became aware that he had great talent - for killing.

This did not go unnoticed by his commanding officer and superiors, and they would use it to their full strategic advantage. By June, the war was coming to an end.
Murk had risen through the ranks quickly, and upon returning home to the US, was granted the rank of Captain. The war had taken it's toll, however, and while Captain LaFoe was seen
as stoic and resilient by his peers - privately he struggled with alcohol and opiate abuse. He received three military decorations for his part in the war, the Bronze Star Medal for
"heroism in combat", the Kosovo Campaign Medal for his service there, and the Purple Heart for numerous wounds sustained.

Duty called once again after the events of September 11th brought the US to Afghanistan, where Murk would take part in the most intense and violent battles of his life.

His addiction followed him to the middle east. Murk would become close with local farmers and traders, trading supplies and providing protection in exchange for heroin that had been
refined from opium poppies grown throughout the region. He accumulated large quantities, which he would smuggle back stateside using contacts in the USAF.

After his second tour, he was promoted to the rank of Major. After being wounded by an IED in Helmand province, and grown weary from extensive combat, he received an honorable discharge.

Back in the US, he called Los Santos home. He began trafficking heroin that he had acquired during his tours, distributing it throughout Los Santos. Several notable narco-traffickers
had taken notice, and would later go into business with Murk, supplying him with high quality Cocaine for distribution after his heroin stockpiles had dwindled. Years flew by.

He would evade the authorities by working with his business partners to move the drugs on the darknet markets, keeping distance from the grunts that ran the op.

Nothing lasts forever, in 2014 he was busted after an informant had given the DEA his name and whereabouts, his home in Vinewood Hills was raided.

While the federales only found a "personal stash" of substances and not the motherload they had hoped for, Murk still received a 4 year sentence for felony possession.

Prison was a cakewalk compared to the hell that he'd seen during his time overseas, he kept a low-profile, knew the right people.
He got clean, spent most of his time reading, excercising, reflecting on his life - the wars, and helping to run Bolingbrook's Narcotics Anonymous program.

Having served his time, he's looking for fresh new start, home in Los Santos. Who knows what the future holds..
