[21:59]  * Lyra_Bel steps out from behind nothing in particular, having arrived at the palace entrance
[21:59] <Alexander_Pyrite> Lyra can hear crashing on the horizon.
[21:59] <Alexander_Pyrite> it is alex, making his way through t he city.
[21:59] <Alexander_Pyrite> He has knocked over at lest one tower, and has accumulated lots of purple dust all over his clothes
[22:00]  * Lyra_Bel mourns her inability to have watched this happen

[22:01] <Alexander_Pyrite> ALex spits out some sawdust and cement

[22:02] <Lyra_Bel> "So'd mine.  Always wanted to try that"
[22:02] <Alexander_Pyrite> Alex puts his jacket and dress shirt back on, having taken them off.

[22:05]  * Lyra_Bel , who has remained completely untouched, transforms the Crawling Shell back into her dress

[22:09]  * Lyra_Bel approaches the front guards, who immediately collapse, and proceeds through the door

[22:43]  * Lyra_Bel flourishes her hands needlessly, and produces a black and white crown from somewhere offscreen
[22:43] <Lyra_Bel> "Queen's crown.  Gotta get those psychological warfare points"
[22:44] <Alexander_Pyrite> "i dont know where you got that but nice"
[22:44] <Lyra_Bel> "Never specified what happened to it when Carol got dealt with.  That means it coulda been anywhere - including with me this whole time"
[22:44]  * Lyra_Bel tosses Alex the crown
[22:45] <Alexander_Pyrite> I catch it.
[22:45] <Alexander_Pyrite> "not my style, ive got enough gaudy gold already."
[22:45] <Alexander_Pyrite> "Speaking of..."
[22:45] <Alexander_Pyrite> Alex dons the golden gloves
[22:45] <Alexander_Pyrite> "wait... i cant hold my shield"
[22:46] <Lyra_Bel> "... They're gloves, Alex"
[22:46] <Alexander_Pyrite> "but big ones"
[22:46] <Alexander_Pyrite> "ok lets try"
[22:46] <Alexander_Pyrite> it succeeds
[22:46] <Alexander_Pyrite> "Nice"
[22:47] <Lyra_Bel> Item cutscene time
[22:47] <Lyra_Bel> The PYRITE GAUNTLETS, upon being brought in close proximity to a shield, reveal their true power
[22:48] <Lyra_Bel> The emerald in the back of the right gauntlet begins to shine brightly, and a beam of light emerges from it to connect to the shield, holding it in place a few inches away from the gauntlet
[22:48] <Alexander_Pyrite> "WEW"
[22:48] <Alexander_Pyrite> "Nice!"
[22:49] <Alexander_Pyrite> "i feel like I need a better shield for my fancy gauntelts"
[22:49] <Lyra_Bel> Each gauntlet has the ability to telekinetically connect itself to a shield, at which point attacking with one automatically counts as an attack with the other.  Additionally, shields are now practical throwing weapons (range 100 feet), as they can be recollected after throwing.

[22:50] <Alexander_Pyrite> "You do, right? WE never got around to reviving him"

[22:52] <Lyra_Bel> You are suddenly aware of the magnificence inherent in wielding two shields and still having both hands

[22:56] <Alexander_Pyrite> I scoop Lyra off her feet. I've got two gauntlets, two shields, a suit and chainmail and a dragon on my shoulder
