This is something I did for The Backrooms Wiki. I created a few pages for that wiki, expanding upon Backrooms lore like levels, entities, objects and whatnot. This, alongside Moth Jelly and Backshrooms are my most popular pages. Moth Jelly became such a popular concept that it actually made it into the Escape The Backrooms game, something that I’m very proud of!

I assume you know what the Backrooms is but in case you don’t, The Backrooms is a creepypasta about an alternate form of reality known as The Backrooms that people can accidentally end up in if they are unlucky enough to stumble upon places in our world that act as sort’ve “gateways” to the Backrooms and once you enter the Backrooms… you can never return home, you are trapped there forever. The Backrooms consists of an infinite number of strange, anomalous realms known as “Levels” that resemble places in our world like the inside of a hotel or a forest but with an appearance and tone that gives you a sort’ve dreamlike feeling, almost like you recognize these places even though you’ve never been here before. Levels are also infinite in scale, having no end and sometimes changing and becoming more dangerous the further you travel. Levels can contain highly dangerous, nightmarish creatures known simply as “Entities”, Objects possessing anomalous traits that can be either harmful or beneficial to you depending on the object and other factors. People who’ve found themselves in the Backrooms are known colloquially as “Wanderers” as that is all you can really do once you’ve found yourself in the Backrooms, wander around and try to survive the onslaught of dangerous entities and phenomena while trying to find a way into a Level that is safer than the one you were in previously…
