  1. [19:37] Zoldak's attempt to finally get out of here fails when a certain other drakanite woman blocks his path, moving quickly to impede his progress. Coming to an abrupt stop, Ashley slams against his back like a sack of potatoes before his grip on the girl's collar is released, allowing her to crumple to the ground.
  2.
  3. He floats in the air just before Ohtli, still as a statue, the eyeless gaze of his golden mask trained on her face as an artificial voice pulses off of him.
  4.
  5. "Ohtli. Fancy meeting you here."
  6. (Zoldak Lelhua)
  7. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8.
  9. [19:37] Kenny says, "Wow"
  10. [19:37] Kenny says, "Mean"
  11. [19:38] Ashley is just enjoying the ground.
  12. (Ashley)
  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14.
  15. [19:38] Mirage scratches his head; good thing Ashley is still depressed like normal.
  16.
  17. "Some edgy ass kids over here..." He starts to move his eyes from one to the other and then the other. These kids didn't look edgy, they just... Acted like it.
  18.
  19. "Maybe you kids should read a book-" what is wrong with the next generation?
  20. (Mirage)
  21. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  22.
  23. [19:38] Leland Lelhua says, "I've read plenty of books. Right, right. Edgy."
  24. [19:39] Mirage says, "Read more books."
  25. [19:39] Mirage says, "I tihnk you are excluded anyway."
  26. [19:39] Okoto just kinda... slinks in. People have to be gathered over here for some reason... right?
  27. (Okoto Iya)
  28. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  29.
  30. [19:39] Leland Lelhua says, "Maybe, maybe I'm annoyed because a simple conversation resulted in about thirty people crowding around me."
  31. [19:39] Ashley says, "Edgy.. I think emotional would fit better.. Edgy is more, brooding.."
  32. [19:39] Ashley asks, "Isn't it?"
  33. [19:39] Mirage says, "You seem the most normal out of them - you know what they say, if there is a crowd, more comes. Yeah."
  34. [19:39] Mirage says, "EMotional."
  35. [19:39] Mirage says, "Overly so."
  36. [19:39] Mirage asks, "Why are you all so emotional?"
  37. [19:39] Ashley looks constantly miserable and bone thin, yet is considered the normal one. Nice.
  38. (Ashley)
  39. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  40.
  41. [19:39] Okoto Iya says, "I'm noooooot!~ "
  42. [19:39] Kenny says, "I wouldn't say all of us."
  43. [19:39] Gina waited for a few moments, but seeing as Leland was busy with everything else, she understood how her words were drowned out by everyone. She offers him a small wave and departs to get some sleep.
  44. (Gina Isley)
  45. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  46.
  47. [19:39] Okoto Iya says, "Nnnnnnnot sure'f... thawass directed at me, but- all th' same..."
  48. [19:39] Leland Lelhua says, "'Why are you all people?'"
  49. [19:39] Leland Lelhua says, "Question of the year."
  50. [19:39] Mirage says, "Because we exist."
  51. [19:39] Leland Lelhua whispers something.
  52. [19:39] Okoto Iya says, "Wh-"
  53. [19:39] Chrono would begin to pull out his red dagger, only spinning it between his fingers as he began to shake his head from side to side and shuffle his feet! He looked like he was having a good day by his carefree strolling and poses.
  54.
  55. "Reading is for nerds! I need to get stronger and train! I got to get all the muscles!" The scrawny kid would nod his head before beginning to head towards the north. Honestly he didn't care who he fought more than likely he would loser. But it'd make him feel better if they were around age.
  56.
  57. "I'll be up north when you're ready foxy."
  58. (Chrono Salvaji)
  59. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  60.
  61. [19:40] Leland Lelhua says, "You.."
  62. [19:40] Zoldak is slowly dying from all this pointless drama, and it looks like more is headed his way, although certainly drama of more important.
  63. (Zoldak Lelhua)
  64. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  65.
  66. [19:40] Leland Lelhua says, "What Would Eiphraem Do. What Would Eiphraem Do. What Would Eiphraem do."
  67. [19:40] Kenny whispers: Nice sword Zoldak
  68. [19:40] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Yeah thanks kids glad you like it.
  69. [19:40] Ohtli stands right in Zoldak's way, ground-bound with her wings spread. She glowers up at him. Yes, -glowers-. She meets his gaze unflinchingly with all the determination she can muster; the Drakan has never lacked for determination.
  70.
  71. "You have wronged me," she says with a plain snarl. No further explanation is offered as of yet.
  72. (Ohtli)
  73. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  74.
  75. [19:41] Kenny whispers: where you get this from?
  76. [19:41] Mirage was directing his attention to Leland, Ashley looked the least normal as a matter of fact. He’s surprised she didn't die of starvation or depression at this point.
  77.
  78. "I'm just saying you guys all seem to uh..."
  79.
  80. There is a bigger point, but he's missing it. He'll probably never get to it so he just shrugs. "Ya'll need g- faith. Hope. Ambitions." He again squints at Leland, "Maybe not you though, you have potential."
  81. (Mirage)
  82. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  83.
  84. [19:42] Okoto squats, focusing in on Ohtli and Zoldak's conversation. This stance proves unsustainable after a few moments, and she flops over to a sitting position.
  85. (Okoto Iya)
  86. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  87.
  88. [19:44] Ashley begins drifting away, again. Woo.
  89. (Ashley)
  90. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  91.
  92. [19:46] Zoldak is suddenly surrounded by the faint whine of energy, like electricity channeling into a battery. His eyeless gaze remains focused on Ohtli, unflinching.
  93.
  94. "I was wronged first. But not by you. You were merely dragged into it."
  95.
  96. "I told you you should not have come on the hunt, did I not, Ohtli. But you insisted. Now you know not to go hunting with me anymore."
  97.
  98. A scratchy noise which can only be described as a chuckle escapes from him. He hold out a pair of open palms towards the drakanite, as though presenting them to her.
  99.
  100. "Understand that my hands are not clean, and never have been. Certain tasks must be done, whether people get hurt in the process or not."
  101.
  102. The hands are withdrawn, as his head cocks at an angle that's only slightly unnatural and disconcerting.
  103.
  104. "You're a warrior. You should know this."
  105. (Zoldak Lelhua)
  106. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  107.
  108. [19:47] This entire situation should have remained nugatory. An ephemeral amount of time could have been spent dealing with this preposterous situation. It became difficult to wrap his mind around why this had all blow out of proportion.
  109.
  110. All I wanted to do is help.
  111.
  112. That desire to assist others is withering. With each passing day, the struggle between selfishness and altruism grows. "Ashley, I'll...do what I can, later. Gina, I'll teach you how to fish tomorrow. Chrono, if you can't afford a shirt, I'll find a job or two for you to-do. Might even find something for you..on a more permanent basis, and mom- if you do have any good hiding places, please. for the love of Quetzalcoatl, show them to me.
  113.
  114. Tomorrow."
  115.
  116.
  117. (Leland Lelhua)
  118. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  119.
  120. [19:47] Leland Lelhua says, "Potential? Thanks."
  121. [19:48] Zoldak Lelhua says, "Leland. After this I will show you."
  122. [19:48] Zoldak Lelhua says, "Do tell me you were not robbed."
  123. [19:48] Zoldak Lelhua says, "Blood will have to be spilled if that's the case."
  124. [19:49] Leland Lelhua says, "I haven't been robbed."
  125. [19:50] Kenny says, "God dam."
  126. [19:50] Kenny asks, "What happen to you Zoldak?"
  127. [19:50] Kenny asks, "Sudden change in tone today?"
  128. [19:50] Zoldak Lelhua says, "What."
  129. [19:51] Okoto Iya says, "Ahah..."
  130. [19:51] "That's your excuse? You -lied- to me! You lied to all of us" she snaps again, unwilling to take the magus' paltry explanation. His laughter does nothing to make her less angry. It's the opposite. Ohtli is infuriated.
  131.
  132. "You said it was getting prisoners to bargain for Huangzhou's people. Then you went back on your word. You gave them to those blood suckers, and now you're real great friends with them, aren't you? The same people that are the ones that killed Keaka?"
  133.
  134. That fury of hers is only rising as she rattles on, fists clenching.
  135. (Ohtli)
  136. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  137.
  138. [19:51] Okoto Iya asks, "Your dad's the big snake man..?"
  139. [19:51] Okoto Iya whispers something.
  140. [19:58] Zoldak's voice is as emotionless as always. His words are clinical. His tone, mechanical.
  141.
  142. "The Huang prisoner situation was handled regardless. By me. Personally. The prisoners were useless for trade. We discussed this."
  143.
  144. He starts to fiddle with the gloves on his hands, pulling the white velveteen leather taut and tightening their straps.
  145.
  146. "Besides. They are alive and well. And even enjoying their new lives."
  147.
  148. "I kept my word. On both counts. Lord Malentine got the people he was promised. And the Qilin had her people freed. You know the deal that was made. It was for you, after all."
  149.
  150. Finally, one last point of contention.
  151.
  152. "And no one knows who killed Keaka. It would not have been the Apropriyans. They do not kill."
  153.
  154. His fingers twitch. Underneath his coat, shapes similar to snakes shift and slither, disturbing the stiff black fabric that conceals whatever is underneath.
  155.
  156. "But if you truly hate me, then fight me. Here. Now."
  157. (Zoldak Lelhua)
  158. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  159.
  160. [20:03] " 'Alive and well'? I doubt that," she huffs, giving her wings a brisk flap. Of course he has to cut with that- the deal had been for her. For her safety. It's a burden that still clings to her.
  161.
  162. "I won't believe that unless I see them myself. And I doubt they're enjoying life there. I know enough about how they work. If they like it, they're made to like it."
  163.
  164. Her temper rises even further to dangerous heights.
  165.
  166. "I know Erebus killed him. And I know he was working for the vampires. Don't LIE to me."
  167.
  168. Then Zoldak all but issues a challenge. Ohtli draws her sword even as something shifts and writhes beneath the man's coat. She prepares for a fight.
  169. (Ohtli)
  170. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  171.
  172. [20:05] Things seem to be heating up. Okoto feels like now's a good time to throw her two cents in.
  173.
  174. "Jusss gonna alert y' both, merc looking fer hire, uh... right here." She gives the pair a thumbs-up, but doesn't otherwise interfere with their spat.
  175. (Okoto Iya)
  176. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  177.
  178. [20:10] "You accuse me of lying. Over and over. I don't much appreciate it. I have a reputation to keep. Had, at least."
  179.
  180. The low, noisy whine surrounding him increases in intensity, as a hand moves towards his shoulder holster.
  181.
  182. "If it was Erebus, then you should know. He serves no one but himself. And what does it matter anyways."
  183.
  184. His hand wraps around the pistol grip, as the man's body goes through a moment of intense convulsions. Pure, un-adulterated mana explodes out from him, enveloping his entire body, as though it could no longer be contained within. And then, the intricately engraved mana pistol is yanked from its holster, his arm swinging out to point the muzzle directly at Ohtli, even as his limbs continue to shudder and shake.
  185.
  186. "I would have slain Keaka myself."
  187. (Zoldak Lelhua)
  188. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  189.
  190. [20:16] She's seen that power before. She's seen Zoldak at some of his best. One of the Crafthold's finest fighters, if the tournament was any indicator.
  191.
  192. The aura is overwhelming at first, bright flashes of mana that cause her to lift her arm up to shield her eyes while they adjust. She has nothing so impressive in her possession.
  193.
  194. In the realm of magi she's fairly mundane, aside from wings, a stout heart, and a good sword arm.
  195.
  196. Can she hold a candle to Zoldak? Absolutely not. Is she going to get beaten? Most likely. Is she going to stand down and not rise to the challenge she was given?
  197.
  198. No. Never.
  199.
  200. His last sentence is what pulls the pin from the metaphorical grenade. With her serrated sword in hand she launches forward recklessly to the mana enshrouded gunman. For weal or woe.
  201. (Ohtli)
  202. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  203.
  204. [20:30] Poison would be seen walking through the plains, wiping her face of the tears that rapidly ran down it. It was quite obvious that the girl had been through something recently, but the question is would she talk about it.
  205. (Poison)
  206. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  207.
  208. [20:32] Kenny asks, "Hello?"
  209. [20:32] Okoto Iya asks, "Nnnhm?"
  210. [20:33] Having traveled to Crafthold to meet with Iosefka, the young Grauhimmel only seems to stop in his tracks for a more familiar face. One, that seemed to be handling something unknown to the Kitsune.
  211.
  212. "Heya, Poison. Something the matter?" It's obvious, but the kitsune hardly knows whether or not it's serious. He does feel that the problem itself, should be an easy one to solve.
  213.
  214. Should be...
  215. (Ludovic Grauhimmel)
  216. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  217.
  218. [20:34] Poison says, "Hello Luddy. It's nothing important, just a guy being rude to me. They are always rude to me. "
  219. [20:34] Ludovic Grauhimmel asks, "Hmm, who was it?"
  220. [20:35] Poison says, "A Dryad guy. It's alright though."
  221. [20:35] Ludovic Grauhimmel asks, "Not a kid?"
  222. [20:36] Poison says, "N-No. He's a little older then us."
  223. [20:36] Ludovic Grauhimmel says, "Weird."
  224. [20:36] Poison asks, "W-What are you doing out here?"
  225. [20:37] Ludovic Grauhimmel says, "Hmm, I was going to crafthold."
  226. [20:37] Poison says, "Oh..I wanted to train Thorny some more. "
  227. [20:37] Ludovic Grauhimmel says, "Yeah, I need Iosefka to make me something."
  228. [20:38] Poison asks, "If I come with you will you come to train Thorny with me afterwards?"
  229. [20:38] Ludovic Grauhimmel says, "Yeah, sure."
  230. [20:38] Kenny asks, "Hows it going ?"
  231. [20:39] Okoto Iya says, "...Watching th' bird girl get beat into the dirt."
  232. [20:41] Kenny says, "She got room to grow"
  233. [20:42] Okoto Iya says, "Y-yea, if... if she lives that long, uh..."
  234. [20:43] Kenny says, "What you mean"
  235. [20:43] Kenny asks, "Zoldak would kill her ?"
  236. [20:43] Okoto Iya asks, "...Iunno??"
  237. [20:43] The drakanite may have favored herself as quick. Able to outrun the stiff, sluggish movement of the man in the suit. However, once the block on his mana circuits was released, he became little more than a blur. All around, streaks of blue energy would fill Ohtli's vision, as destructive bolts would assail her from all sides.
  238.
  239. The pistol remained shaking the entire time, the man's grip unsteady as immense amounts of power channeled not just through the weapon, but his entire body as well. Still, with the precision of the strikes, it is clear the mana compensated. The illusions dancing inside his opponent's mind certainly don't hurt either.
  240.
  241. Even though the warrior did get a few solid strikes in on him, especially as the battle went on and the fallen merchant lost strength, the amount of blood that streams down his mask and stains the black fabric of his garb is far more than should reasonably be present. Clumps of hair fall from his braid, the blackened strands turning back to blonde as they descend towards the ground.
  242.
  243. As he calmly glides towards the downed woman, stunned by a finishing burst of energy, a hand almost instinctually reaches inside his cloak. As it does, the flaps of the suit part, revealing for but a moment what is underneath. Vines. An entire nest of them. Twisting and constricting against his torso as they glow with power.
  244.
  245. The object he pulls out is but a simple corkscrew with a wooden handle. The kind one would use to unplug a wine bottom. The coiling metal shaft of it seems filthy, stained with some dried, reddish-brown substance. Blood? The tip however, is perfectly clean and sheening, much care having been given to keep the point as sharp as possible.
  246.
  247. Quickly dropping onto the downed drakan as soon as he is close, her collar is grabbed, pinning her down as a the corkscrew is raised overhead, looking ready to plunge down on her chest at any moment. His movement seem far more fluid than any he had before, as though guided by sheer repetition. But, just as the object reaches its zenith above him, ready to strike down between her ribs with as much force as possible, the man freezes.
  248.
  249. The mask, leaking pure mana from its gaps to give the appearance of angry, glowing eyes, stares at Ohtli's face. As it does, the glow gradually fades, energy seeming to drain from his entire body as the arm held over him slowly limps down to his side.
  250.
  251. He sluggishly gets up off top of the woman, stowing the corkscrew back under his cloak. His hand idly attempts to brush dirt from his coat, but instead only succeeds in mixing it together with the still wet blood at sticks to the fabric.
  252.
  253. The mask leers down on Ohtli from its elevated position.
  254.
  255. "Do not blame me for everything. A series of events led us to this point. I only played a role in the latest part."
  256.
  257. And then, a hand is offered for her to get up.
  258. (Zoldak Lelhua)
  259. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  260.
  261. [20:44] Ohtli's Spirit Slime was stolen by Zoldak Lelhua.
  262. [20:44] Kenny says, "Zoldak"
  263. [20:44] Kenny says, "Why"
  264. [20:45] Traded item with Zoldak Lelhua: Spirit Slime
  265. [20:46] Zoldak adjusts his dapper hat.
  266. (Zoldak Lelhua)
  267. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  268.
  269. [21:01] Though she fights a losing battle she fights it with nothing less than her whole. Of course it's not enough. Zoldak's experience, his power, far outweigh hers. She knew that going into it, that victory was the most unlikely outcome.
  270.
  271. The Drakan darts and strafes, quick and poised in her own right. Poise can't save her from the illusions that wrack her mind, blurring her vision, and the hail of bullets and streaks of energy. What damage she can do to him, what blood she can draw, doesn't make up for what he takes from her in return.
  272.
  273. One final blast of concussive energy sears her skin and stuns her, throwing her into a daze that leaves her dreadfully vulnerable. And, as any good fighter might do, Zoldak takes full advantage. The glint of light on the barest tip of shining metal on the corkscrew is what catches her eyes. She stares up at him, up at her looming fate, and braces. Battered, beaten, bloodied, she can do little else.
  274.
  275. For a few hazy seconds, it actually looks like he's going to try and kill her with it. He doesn't, though, and she's left alive; wheezing, vulnerable, but alive.
  276.
  277. "You still deceived us. And you left the Hold," she replies briskly.
  278.
  279. It might not've been all of his fault. That much was true, but deception from one she'd trusted was harshly taken. She forgoes the hand and rises on her own power- such an action has always been a point of pride with her.
  280.
  281. Her zeal, her indignance, was not enough to win her this fight or any other. No matter how righteous or how worthy her cause, her willingness alone is insufficient to gain the day. A harsh truth that continues to hammer home.
  282. (Ohtli)
  283. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  284.
  285. [21:02] Okoto decides, after all this time... that they're probably not going to murder each other. Worse, they're probably not going to pay her for intervention. Off she goes.
  286. (Okoto Iya)
  287. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  288.
  289. [21:03] Zoldak gives only a slight nod as his withdraws the untaken hand, before a soft, barely audible buzz rings out.
  290. (Zoldak Lelhua)
  291. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  292.
  293. [21:03] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Ohtli.
  294. [21:04] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: That drive of yours. That warrior spirits.
  295. [21:04] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Never lose it.
  296. [21:04] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: ...And if you could.
  297. [21:04] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Try to help 'mox remember hers.
  298. [21:05] Ohtli whispers: I won't. I can't. The day I lose it I'm dead. Even if it's what ends up killing me.
  299. [21:05] Ohtli whispers: ...I can try, but you left her. You left the Hold.
  300. [21:06] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: I return often, do I not.
  301. [21:06] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: I left Eiphraem's service.
  302. [21:06] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Nothing more.
  303. [21:06] Ohtli whispers: ...Do you serve the vampires now? Is that what's going on? Or do you serve wherever those vines are from?
  304. [21:07] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: I serve no one but my own whim.
  305. [21:07] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: These vines... Are from Iosefka.
  306. [21:07] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: They are bound to my body. Armor I can never remove.
  307. [21:08] Ohtli whispers: And your whim was to take over Bhaldraithe and leave your family here?
  308. [21:09] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: It will all make sense in time. Assuming I live that long.
  309. [21:10] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Plans are in motion. And although I hope for the best, not even I know how they will play out.
  310. [21:10] Ohtli whispers: I'd like it to make sense now...You'd better not have been lying to me about those two you took to the vampires.
  311. [21:10] Ohtli whispers: I swear on the Serpent, if you were...
  312. [21:10] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Honestly. It's the strangest thing.
  313. [21:10] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: That woman. She is in love with the man.
  314. [21:11] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: But he belonged to another. He had a family.
  315. [21:11] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: ...She wants them to both be given the vampire's blood. Not to gain power. But to sever his ties and commitments so they can be together.
  316. [21:11] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Is life not the strangest thing.
  317. [21:12] Ohtli whispers: ...It is. That man was Avery's partner. So I've been told.
  318. [21:12] Ohtli whispers: ...They're alive? They're safe? Answer me.
  319. [21:12] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Of course they are.
  320. [21:12] Ohtli whispers: Are they going to come back?
  321. [21:12] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: They will not die. That would defeat the entire purpose.
  322. [21:12] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: ...That is difficult to say.
  323. [21:12] Ohtli whispers: ...So the vampires won't let them come back. That's it?
  324. [21:12] Ohtli whispers: Tell me what you're planning. I want to know what all of this mess is for.
  325. [21:12] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Not currently. Most likely in time, however.
  326. [21:13] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: To defeat death.
  327. [21:13] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: As simple as that.
  328. [21:13] Ohtli whispers: Zoldak. Now's not the time to get poetic.
  329. [21:13] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: But that's what I seek to do.
  330. [21:13] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: I promised my children I would never die again.
  331. [21:13] Ohtli whispers: Alright...Let me pretend that makes sense. How?
  332. [21:13] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: ...And I promised 'mox I wouldn't turn into a bloodsucker.
  333. [21:14] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Making it more difficult, but no infeasible.
  334. [21:14] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Ah. Simple. You have seen it done before.
  335. [21:14] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Tragedy came back, did she not.
  336. [21:14] Ohtli whispers: She did. But she's a demon, isn't she?
  337. [21:15] Ohtli whispers: I've seen people come back as spirits, which I still...don't understand how that works.
  338. [21:16] Zoldak Lelhua says, "'mox."
  339. [21:16] Amoxtli Lelhua asks, "Yes?"
  340. [21:16] Zoldak beckons the hovering drakanite hanging back closer.
  341. (Zoldak Lelhua)
  342. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  343.
  344. [21:17] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Ah. That would be Shiva's doing.
  345. [21:17] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Although Tragedy tore herself from death.
  346. [21:17] Ohtli whispers: How does she do that?
  347. [21:18] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: That is what I hope to find out.
  348. [21:18] Ohtli whispers: ...So that's why you're doing all this. Did you have to kick Tael out of Bhaldraithe to do it too?
  349. [21:18] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Tael attacked me. And, that is but one part.
  350. [21:18] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Bhal was going to be attacked. Lives would be lost trying to defend a dead city. Another war would start.
  351. [21:18] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: That has been circumvented.
  352. [21:20] Ohtli whispers: Are you going to ever give it back to him?
  353. [21:20] Zoldak Lelhua says, "'mox. I want you to spend more time with Ohtli."
  354. [21:20] Zoldak Lelhua says, "Perhaps she can help you defend the cave."
  355. [21:20] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Tael did not want the kingdom. It was thrust upon him. I have freed him to reach his full potential.
  356. [21:21] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: He is a creature of duty. He does what is expected of him, whether he likes it or not.
  357. [21:21] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: And I understand what that is like.
  358. [21:22] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Ask him of the letter he was to give to Setzer, if you doubt this.
  359. [21:22] Ohtli narrows her eyes, but at least she doesn't call him a liar. Again.
  360. (Ohtli)
  361. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  362.
  363. [21:23] Ohtli whispers: Those vampires are still going to hunt people, aren't they? They're still going to hurt them.
  364. [21:23] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Such is their nature.
  365. [21:24] Ohtli whispers: So you're going to be friends with something who's nature it is to make people suffer and murder? There's no other way for them to live?
  366. [21:25] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: I don't regard them as friends. Just associates, like many others.
  367. [21:26] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: I understand you wish to protect people. But protect those close to you first.
  368. [21:26] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Trying to save everyone in the world will only drive you mad.
  369. [21:26] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: They are not your problem. Neither was Gaiar.
  370. [21:27] Ohtli whispers: If I could go mad and save the world? I'd do it.
  371. [21:27] Ohtli whispers: Unfortunately I don't think that's an option.
  372. [21:27] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: It isn't.
  373. [21:29] Ohtli whispers: ...Doesn't mean I can' try to do what I can, Zoldak.
  374. [21:30] Ohtli whispers: Right now my focus is on fixing Eidolon. It'll stay there. I gave my word.
  375. [21:30] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Hmm. Very well.
  376. [21:30] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: ...You're lucky I don't ever take what isn't due to me. You really need a place to store all those rare materials you have on you.
  377. [21:30] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Yes. I saw.
  378. [21:31] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Ask if you can get a chest in the tower. It's the safest storage in Agartha.
  379. [21:31] Amoxtli Lelhua whispers: ..SPEAKING OF STORAGE.
  380. [21:31] Ohtli whispers: ...I've recently built a hiding spot. I like keeping the feathers on me at least. They're important.
  381. [21:31] Ohtli whispers: I don't know if I'd be allowed a chest in the tower, sir. But I guess I can ask.
  382. [21:31] Ohtli whispers: Besides, once Eidolon is cleaned and resettled, my home will be there.
  383. [21:33] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Very well.
  384. [21:34] Ohtli whispers: ...I still don't like what you did, for the record.
  385. [21:34] Ohtli whispers: Even if you didn't lie about everything.
  386. [21:34] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: That is fine. No one really does.
  387. [21:35] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Please, hate me. I deserve it.
  388. [21:35] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: But if you try to act upon it, it will get you nowhere.
  389. [21:36] Ohtli whispers: ...Not as I am. But at least I can tell Avery her partner isn't dead.
  390. [21:36] Ohtli whispers: You meant what you said about Keaka too. Didn't you?
  391. [21:36] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: I did.
  392. [21:36] Amoxtli Lelhua whispers: Zoldak?
  393. [21:36] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: Erebus is just some rogue demon. They'll kill just about an-
  394. [21:36] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: 'mox.
  395. [21:36] Zoldak Lelhua whispers: And. Yes. I would have killed him. He was an enemy. Would you not kill an en-
