  1. All the Columbia professors were really "failed at their craft" type people
  2. I had one good professor named Ed Hamel who was really young and he only taught the class for a year before realizing Columbia sucked and going to the west coast
  3.
  4. He made awesome drone music, loved any and everything experimental, and we took a whole day once to just discuss the difference between gain, fuzz, and distortion guitar pedals. He was using like Cannibal Corpse songs to demonstrate distortion and he was getting so frustrated when people didnt get it
  5.
  6. I think he was a person who kinnd of just understood things. He gave me a 100 in the class despite my not turning in a final project
  7. His words to me:
  8. "Look Remi. People like you, people like you are hosses. Not every one is a hoss."
  9.
  10. Later after I dropped out we were talking on Facebook and he said the hoss thing again so I screencapped it and dedicated this album to him:

  13.
  14. I did a five minute oral report on Napalm Death's "You Suffer", which if you dont know is the famous 1 second grindcore song, and the whole time he was just nearly crying from laughter at the song itself.
  15. Good man.
