  1. Emilia shows commitment to her learning and her future career. She also has an unwaver-ing and clear pathway of what she wants to achieve. Her GCSE performance shows a con-sistent and dedicated student while her A-level performance and attitude shows a high level of academic prowess that will continue to serve her well in a degree course. In addition, she demonstrates a positive attitude towards her education and takes an active role with her peers in class, taking and giving advice at the appropriate opportunity.

  3. In Mathematics Emilia works well and consequently is demonstrating good progress. She demonstrates confidence in the subject across many topics and demonstrates the skills re-quired to solve problems set in a challenging context. She is improving her communication skills, with clear structure and awareness of the detail required in the question. She wants to do well and her progress in practice papers demonstrate that she is prepared to study and work outside of lessons. Emilia is usually organised and meets most deadlines.
  4. Emilia has made steady progress in Physics over the last year. She always tries to do well and is beginning to see the benefit in asking for help and guidance when she finds a particu-lar topic difficult.
  5. She is gaining in confidence in Physics and uses appropriate subject specific terminology and equations in order to carry out independent analysis and produce suitable conclusions. Her analytical problem solving skills are improving and have been over the course. Emilia can demonstrate knowledge of some principles, concepts and facts in the Physics specification and she can apply these principles and concepts to familiar situations and some new situa-tions. She is usually well organised and can plan his time effectively.
  6. Emilia is an exceptional psychology student showing excellent descriptive and evaluative skills and this is evidenced by the solid and consistent progress she has made in psychology so far. She is also highly proficient when applying her knowledge to examples of human be-haviour.

She has outstanding knowledge of research methods is psychology, both in understanding how research is carried out and the mathematical analysis of research to allow reliable and valid conclusions to be drawn. She has planned, executed and analysed her own piece of psychological research and continues to develop her already impressive independent learn-ing skills.

  10. As well as having the academic prowess and the interest needed for university, Emilia shows how she will be an ideal candidate for a Psychology course in her extra-curricular activi-ties. She has taken part in summer schools to further her knowledge and understanding and has joined in school activities to raise money for charity. She has experienced difficulties and hardships that she has overcome and has used these events to enable her to better un-derstand human interaction and behaviour. I whole heartedly recommend Emilia for her chosen university course.
