It was therefore with very little trouble that Lefebvre abandoned Charlotte's precious Raphaël in Saint-Louis Hospital, Paris anonymously—after all, with the disappearance of her burdenous offspring from his life so disappeared her remnants in it entirely.

      As is typical with young children abandoned in Muggle hospitals, there were many prospective parents lining up around the block to get a chance at the healthy baby boy with crystalline irises and a mop of thick, dark curls. The child came to live with a young married couple throwing their last hopes at family life into fostering. Life with the St Pierre family was marked with luxury—both Ruth and Henri were born into high standing, and therefore had elevated expectations of their fostered son, to whom they bestowed the name Timothée Vincent. Years of etiquette classes followed, during which Timothée was educated in areas of dancing, piano playing, literature in French and English and the manners that became a young man. Even moving from France to England with the two seemed natural; Timothée consumed each instruction given eagerly and followed every expectation set out.

      Yet Timothée could never stop the inevitable fade of interest in their foster son. Timothée was no longer Ruth and Henri's last ditch attempt at children; they had born three of their own through natural means, and had little use for the strange child who complained oft of headaches and fell into seizure-like trances frequently. Therefore, it was no surprise that the couple shut the child out of their life entirely upon receiving a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry upon Timothée's eleventh birthday.

      Thrust into a strange world of magic and mysticism, Timothée struggled to adapt to the sudden tonal shift of their world. They threw their attention into academia and became known for their intelligence amongst their peers, alongside their incredible potential with their open Third Eye.

      As magic settled and became the norm, Timothée, now known almost universally by the moniker "Moth", absorbed themself fully into their studies. They were sporadically sociable in their Hogwarts years, often preferring to spend time in the Library over socialising with their peers.
