BACKGROUND:; yeojin on a cold autumn day in jeollanam-do, mokpo, south korea. in school, she did pretty good. she tried to do good in school to make her parents proud of her. all she wanted was to be her parents proudest daughter. her parents mostly paid all their attention to their son, yeojin’s older brother. she was incredibly envious of him growing up. her brother knew she was envious too & constantly rubbed it in her face. she didn’t have much of a relationship with her brother growing up or currently. she knew someday she had to do something that would make her parents proud. she started dancing when she was 10 & just started it as a hobby. she was shocked with how good she got over time. with time, she had such a passion for dancing that she decided she wanted to do it for a living. she originally thought she was going to be a dance teacher but she thought, “what is something that will bring pride to my family?” she then decided she was going to become a idol. she was honestly scared  of the training process but she was going to be able to dance & make her family proud. she decided to become a trainee when she was 18. she was a trainee under cube for 2 years but left due to health reasons. she then auditioned for one of the big entertainment companies in south korea, sm entertainment. she luckily passed the audition & has been a trainee there for 5 years.
