  15. https://www.hetzner.com/sb 2x 3TB for 26.89€
  16. or
  17. https://servdiscount.com/ 2x 3TB for 33€
  18. or
  19. simply use some low power arm system with a external HDD if you have enough upload at home.
  20. Nah the upload I have at home is crap to be honest. What I was looking to do is upload the movies to the server and steam the movies from there.
  21. What region? The cheapest is going to be Hetzner, SD like mentioned above, Online.net or Kimsufi. There are others in the U.S. in the $30-40 range like Nocix / Wholesaleinternet, Server4You, etc. Maybe look for a storage VPS otherwise if you don't need to transcode.
  22. ≡ ExtraVM - DDoS Protected SSD VPS, Game Servers, NVMe Web Hosting
  23. ≡ 99.95%+ Up-time | U.S. Support | Fast Modern Hardware
  24. ≡ Dallas, TX (US) | Montreal, CA | London, UK | Singapore | Vint Hill, VA (US) | Gravelines, FR
  25. It would be EU.
  26. The only thing I want it for is to stream a few movies. Nothing overly CPU intensive.
  27. You may also want to consider the CPU.
  28.
  29. Depending on the number of streams and quality, you will need a good CPU in addition of your storage
  30. Is this to be used just at your home?
  31. If so I would highly suggest making your own small server for plex hosting.
  32. PUREVOLTAGE.COM Premium Colocation, Dedicated & VPS Hosting
  33. You can get a cheap dedicated server anywhere, I assume you have a license for it, you can install the servers and start streaming.
  34. I have seen cheap servers, around 50 bucks per month, unmanaged, install Plex and you are done.
