- You know this was only a one night
- thing, right?
- ELLIS
- Oh. I still love you, Cait.
- CAIT
- I love you too Ellis, and you're a
- great guy. But you deserve someone
- better than me.
- ELLIS
- I mean, I could say the same thing
- about me.
- Ellis's eyes widen.
- ELLIS (CONT’D)

- ELLIS
- Fine, she's a great chick.
- KAYLA
- Do you know how to even treat
- women, Ellis?
- Ellis goes into the kitchen, gets himself a beer and drinks

- Ellis!
- Ellis smiles and gets out of his car.
- ELLIS
- Hi there sweetheart.
- A child runs out of the house and hugs Ellis. The child also

- IND CHILD
- Dad, you're home!
- A german shepherd runs out of the apartment and runs around
- them. It barks in happiness. Ellis holds all of them.
- The woman leans into Ellis's ear.
- IND WOMAN
- You're a fucking failure, Ellis.
- All your friend's have successful
- relationships and here you are
- chasing tail.
- IND CHILD
- You're a fucking failure, look at

- "Good person?"
- "What are you?"
- "Worthless piece of shit."
- "Unloveable."
- "Shitty human being."
- His finger slides on the trigger-
- Ellis's phone rings.

- you not to encourage workplace
- violence. Officially, you are
- absolutely in trouble for this and
- officially...
- Kobel looks around.
- KOBEL (CONT’D)
- Officially, you're supposed to be
- begging me for your job back, and
- that you're supposed to have your
- last paycheck.
- ELLIS
- And... Unofficially?
- KOBEL
- Consider this a promotion, I know
- you don't like dealing with the
- other guards anyway. How does a
- Monday to Thursday schedule sound?
