The end begins when reality shudders,
As descendents of our escape falter,
The sundering of reality is stayed,
By anchors made by dying brothers.

Quatrain CMLXIV

From the depths of long ago,
Come echoes of the hidden beast.
Unknown to the meager survivors,
They hunt to find an empty nest.

CMLXVI
Forgotten hungers eats its bonds,
Gorged on bleakness, awakened strong,
World spine cracks in twain,
Death comes from waters of despair.

CMLXVII
First to fall is the City of Prophets, beneath their dark stone
Then the forest under the Silver Moon shall die in fire
Followed by life snuffed out by those under the Bright Star

One chance to avoid the fate of oblivion shall arise,
The salvation of creation must be weakened,
And the poisoned spigot opened briefly,
Allowing our defeat one last resurrection.

CMLXIX
If oblivion is avoided by defeat
Perpetual war shall be unleashed
Hidden for a time by unseen eyes
Eventually chaos erupts triumphant

CMLXXI
Earth will tremble,Rocks will weep,
Spirits still as fate draws near.
Faith will fall into the deep,
And wander lost with none to hear

CMLXXII
Seas shall boil with pain and rage
As the city's idols weep,
Nightmares plague the forest ways
And lure them into restless sleep

CMLXXIII
Ends shall fray on weavers' threads,
Self break lose from self to flee,
Mortal wills from mortals kept:

As waters churn, earth cracks and spirits bay.

Free the prisoner from sleep stolen,
Out of ice, winter joy will return,
But the Eight Rings must be broken
Words of Elders contain a key to turn.

When the dreams of heaven converge within the skull,
Cold fingers creep forth to grasp the fleeting mantel.
If the ancient fist breaks, time is bought but woeful.

finds the key to salvation,
but first witness the last
fall of an ancient nation.

When an orb of ice does shatter,
Xyl's progeny uses shards of ice,
Tunes his machine, a complex ladder,
Climb to new lands gripped in vice.
