  27. *=Still unclear and needs to be filled.
  28.
  29. >Why is everything so fucking vague?
  30. According to Overlord lore, Yggdrasil had shit tons of hidden mechanics, metas and classes. Thus, Zuranon sought to recreate that feeling in the CYOA.
  31.
  32. >What build do I go for?
  33. Any build that fills one of the Holy Trinity's roles (Tank, DPS or Support).
  34.
  35. >What build do I avoid?
  36. Hybrid/Gish/CON Casters are hard to do well if you're new to the cyoa.
  37.
  38. >I still want to make Gish. How do I make them?
  39. Pick classes that give extra ML or CL like Templar, Arcane Knight, etc.
  40. Keep in mind Divine and Nature spellcasters can use weapons and wear armor while casting magic without having to buy classes to do so, that restriction is only for Arcane spellcasters.
  41.
  42. >How does CON Casting work?
  43. It uses CON for everything.
  44.
  45. >Do builds change Post-Isekai?
  46. Yes. Some of the known changes include:
  47. Mental stats affecting the user (i.e. 5 INT=Brainlet, 40 INT=Galaxy Brain)
  48. Edit NPC Combat Settings -> Brainwashing
  49. Issue Simple Commands -> Hypnosis
  50. Cooldowns for some abilities disappearing
  51. Alternate Forms -> Shapeshifting
  52.
  53. >Do you have to worry about aging?
  54. No. Level 100 characters are naturally immortal. You only need Stasis if you are under level 100. Most Heteromorphs are naturally immortal regardless of the level though.
  55.
  56. >How does imbuing work?
  57. Unclear
  58.
  59. >How much stats does Barbarian, Sacred Fist, Spellsword, etc give?
  60. Barbarian: 4 STR and 4 CON
  61. Sacred Fist: 12 points for any attribute, distributed in increments of 2
  62. Spellsword: Unclear
  63. Mystic Fist: Unclear
  64. Berserker: Unclear
  65.
  66. >How does considered 2x work?
  67. It only affects the basic effects of the Attributes (Equipment Weight Limit and ability to wear armor for STR, Vitality Regeneration and Damage over Time resistance for CON). Your Weapon Proficiency, Mana Pool, etc does not improve.
  68. It only applies to STR and CON.
  69. 4x or 8x STR is meta for pro warriors. [Enlarged Person 2] on your gear gives you 2x STR.
  70. It is difficult to get it for CON since its technically just an engine trick to simulate regeneration in some races.
  71.
  72. >How does Nephilim work?
  73. Nephilim halving and doubling actually change the attributes, with all the changes to weapon proficiency, mana pool, etc that entails with it. However, Nephilim are objectively ugly and cannot hide their ugliness by hiding their faces with equipment or magic.
  74.
  75. >How does Vitality work?
  76. Vitality is your HP Bar.
  77. Vitality is derived from your races and classes. Some races and classes give more Vitality than others. In general, warrior classes give tons of Vitality while caster classes give little Vitality.
  78. ML=Vitality is not an accurate depiction of Vitality, but it is an easy way to approximate the Vitality a build has.
  79. CON does not affect Vitality, it only affects Vitality Regeneration and Damage over Time resistance.
  80.
  81. >How do alternate forms work?
  82. It lets you change forms to another avatar with a different race and take classes that require that alternate form. For example, A Seraph with a Dwarf alternate form can buy Runesmith.
  83. Post Isekai its basically shapeshifting.
  84.
  85. >How do half-humans work?
  86. It lets you buy classes that require a different race. For example, a Human Half-Dragonoid can buy Dragonheart Mage and Sorcerer.
  87. It also lets you buy evolution classes, but not advanced heteromorph racial classes. For example, A Human Half-Giant can buy Titan, but not Cave Giant.
  88. It doesn't let you buy classes that would require you to have more than one non human parent/ancestor. For example, a Human Half-Dragonoid cannot buy Elementalist.
  89.
  90. >How do you make equipment?
  91. Look up spells from DnD 3.5 or Pathfinder and add +1 to their spell tier. You take the highest spell tier required for that spell. For example, if a spell can be cast by Cleric 2 and Paladin 3 it is 4 for this cyoa.
  92.
  93. >Where do you look up spells?
  94. http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/spellLists.htm
  95. https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/spell-lists-and-domains/
  96.
  97. >How many spells do I get?
  98. It doesn't matter. A level 100 caster has 300+ spells. Just cast whatever spell you want.
  99.
  100. >What determines the power/effectiveness of my spells?
  101. CL. The higher the CL, the better the spell.
  102.
  103. >Can I still be a caster despite having little or no experience with DnD or Tabletop Gaming?
  104. Absolutely. Just say what you want to do and the DM for the event will usually accommodate you.
  105.
  106. >What does Weapon Proficiency do?
  107. Ease of use/form correction for use of the weapon type, possibly required to pull off Martial Arts/Warrior skills the same way.
  108.
  109. >What determines melee/unarmed damage?
  110. Unclear
  111.
  112. >What does Mana Control do?
  113. Mana Control+CL determines highest potential spell tier, mana, and effectiveness of spells.
