- >It is spring break, and you and Yuri are heading to the edge of town to stare down at it from the horizon
- >You're pretty excited because you didn't even know you could view the city from that point until Yuri brought it up
- >All the while as you head up there you find yourself amused and enamored by how Yuri always seems to come up with the craziest stuff to do together
- >Last time you, her and Natsuki, ventured off into the sewers together with flashlights, something you never would have imagined yourself doing if it wasn't for Yuri, and you really appreciate that part of her
- >Yuri has a backpack slung over one of her shoulders and seems to be trudging up the steep hill effortlessly, so you feel crumby asking for the occasional break
- >Yuri always is always completely understanding, and lets you have a moment to rest
- >You wonder if maybe Yuri often finds herself heading to this particular area to stare off into the city; it doesn't sound unlike her
- >As you walk and take breaks, you acknowledge in a passive way how beautiful the setting is
- >The sky is a dark purple, which for a moment makes you think "maybe that's the magic of Yuri," before you brush the corny sentiment off
- >In the distance you can see tons of buildings, speckled loosely with the rare light of a nightowl, but for the most part the city is lit by streetlights and lit signs
- >But the view as beautiful as it is, is still obscured by a cloud of trees, so your excitement to get the full view grows more powerful
- >You wish you could talk about something meaningful with Yuri along the way, but you're a bit hindered by your lack of stamina
- >Still, you and Yuri both enjoy each other's company to a point where words are not needed to make the time worthwhile, and besides that, Yuri seems to enjoy the journey up the hill enough to curb her over for the time being
- >Eventually, Yuri says in a soft but obviously excited voice, "we're almost there"
- >It's only a half a minute before you're on the legendary spot that Yuri had been hinting at all day
- >You pass a tree and the panoramic cityscape finally shows itself in it's full glory
- >You and Yuri finally take a seat, able to relax in a fuller way than the previous breaks
- >Yuri wraps her arms around her legs, where her backpack rests between
- >Yuri is close enough that your arms are pressed firmly together, but you understand why being how cold it is
- >For one short but serene moment, everything feels completely okay
- >You're with Yuri staring off at the cityscape, and you feel a warm confidence knowing that this pleasant memory will be a part of you until the day you die
- >Yuri starts rustling through her backpack and pulls out a bottle of relatively fancy looking wine
- >"Holy smokes, where did you find that Yuri?"
- >She gives a mischievous but wary smile
- >"J-just found it in the garage fridge. Want some?"
- >"If you're having some and you don't mind, then of course, sure!"
- >This answer seems to please her
- >She rustles in her backpack again and pulls out some paper cups, handing one to you
- >She pours some in each of your cups, tightens the lid on the bottle, and slips it back into her backpack
- >You and Yuri stare again into the cityscape as you begin to drink and that warm feeling of confidence and excitement returns
- >After a minute or so, Yuri says "How are you feeling?"
- >"About the wine or in general?"
- >"Both!"
- >You consider for a moment and tell her the wine is very nice, and you feel very happy and excited for what the future will hold
- >"The future of tonight, or the future of everything?" she asks, with a genuine expression of curiosity
- >You teasingly copy her, "Both!"
- >She smiles and lays her head down on your shoulder, closing her eyes and sighing, as if relieving all of the month's troubles onto her breath and into the night's wind
- >As if to confirm this, she says "I feel like everything is going to be alright."
- >"That makes me happy to hear, Yuri."
- >You rest your head on her head and reach an arm around to grasp ahold of her other shoulder
- >You and Yuri are locked in a grasp that defends you from the cold of the night
- >Yuri seems so comfortable in your grasp that she's almost half-asleep!
- >Yet she still seems to be grasping loosely onto her consciousness so she can still be with you
- >Not to mention she might be feeling a bit tipsy from the alcohol
- >"We should move to Paris together, anon"
- >You're feeling a bit tipsy yourself, but you have a little bit better of a hold of your mind, so you're not quite lost in the fantasy as her
- >Yet the idea does seem enticing, so you submit to it and think about it with her
- >"We should, Yuri. Move together in a small house on the edge of a city near a bridge that looks over the Paris waters!"
- >She still looks like she's in a bit of a hazey headspace but her face perks up a bit at this
- >"Yes! I would love that. And we'll paint and ride our bike everyday and do other Paris things!"
- >"I look forward to moving to Paris with you, Yuri."
- >"Do you really think we might someday, anon?"
- >You smile and kiss her head. It feels awkward to do but at the moment it feels right for whatever reason
- >"I'd like to. But we'll have to see what the future has in store for us."
- >"I hope the future is good, anon."
- >"There might be some tough times, but I think it will be good."
- >Yuri seems pleased with this, and snuggles into your side a bit further
- >You and Yuri lean back on the grass and stare up at the stars. It strikes you as a stereotypically romantic scene, but it feels very nice all the same
- >It isn't long before you and Yuri are fast asleep in each other's arms, ushered off into dreamland
- THE END
