  1. So... World of Warcraft is going the way of the dodo. How Sad :
  2.
  3. https://www.svg.com/144404/why-were-worried-about-world-of-warcraft-classic/?utm_source=zergnet.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=zergnet_4280333
  4.
  5. But, if Blizzard were to think about the future carefully, they would see these 20 reasons too and have something like this up their sleeves :
  6.
  7. World Of Warcraft : War Of The Titans
  8.
  9. "Jump straight into the action for 20 bucks including a one month sub! for a 25 bucks pre-order, you even get a mount!"
  10.
  11. Legion was a winning formula, it had the most subs since WOTLK and here are the 4 biggest reasons people gave up on Legion (likely the same players that won't bother with classic but would be intrested in an improved "Legionesque" expansion) :
  12.
  13. 1. The Legendaries - People either simply didn't know HOW to get them or didn't have enough time to get them, the cross-spec legendaries were out of place but, apart from that they were one of the best parts of Legion
  14.
  15. 2. Artifact weapon concordance - I ran a guild of 950 active members most of the way through Legion and a lot of people gave up on concordance at level 20 because it was simply too much of a grind after that
  16.
  17. 3. The 3rd rune slot for the weapon - runes were awesome but a lot of dissapointed (younger) players gave up when they realised how long the grind for the 3rd rune slot was
  18.
  19. 4. Mythic + dungeons and the weekly chest - by the end of Legion, M+ had become so competitive and anti-social that most people couldn't be bothered with them, not to mention the fact that they kept getting the same item or a useless item in their weekly chest, a lot of people also disliked Titanforged and Warforged because it was either always on a useless item or just simply couldn't/didn't get one
  20.
  21. IF Blizzard decided to go for an expansion called "War Of The Titan's" I believe it would spark intrest amongst those that gave up on classic after the novelty wore off or any combination of the 20 reasons given in the link to the article at the top of this note, those that left Legion for any of the 4 reasons given above, throw in an advertising campaign on a similar to scale that was given for WOTLK with an affordable price tag to draw in new players and the beauty of being able to jump straight in at level 120... here are the 4 things blizzard COULD do to possibly achieve 5 million plus subs :
  22.
  23. 1. The Legendaries - 10 legendaries per spec with the first one being after the first 200 quests for each class with the only "cross-spec" legendary for their class and NPC's that clearly inform of how to get them much as in the same fashion as legion
  24.
  25. 2. Artifact weapon concordance - A maximum of 20 artifact weapon concordance with about two thirds of the grind there was in Legion to reach concordance level 20
  26.
  27. 3. The 3rd rune slot for the weapon - Still 3 rune slots for weapons but balanced quest chains for opening each slot (about the same length for each slot), also, an upgradeable rune system that somehow upgrades with concordance or the artifact weapon
  28.
  29. 4. Mythic + Dungeons - A mythic + dungeon finder where the player (with the key) queueing the group can set minimum item-level per role, one item per 7 levels of mythic + each week in the weekly chest (1 item for m+7, 2 items for m+14, 3 items for m+21) capped at 3 items, no more warforged or titanforged, some code that means players get items that are nice upgrades 70% + of the time
  30.
  31. What a great way to save a game that is going the way of the dodo...
  32.
  33. psst Blizzard - what is 5 million multiplied by 20 bucks and then about 4 million multiplied by 10 bucks (*12 months) on top of the original figure?
