I was born in Caer Callindyr in the Moonshae Isles, fifth child to a wealthy merchant, Doran Martell. My mother died giving birth to me and my twin sister, and my father was busy managing the estate, but we had the best tutors and servants money could buy growing up, so life was easy.

I exhibited a knack for learning and casting from a young age, so when the time came to get proper training my Father sent me to his cousin's Mage Academy in Waterdeep. Those were the best two years of my life. Finally, a place where I had to do well on my merit and where people were not bowing and scraping for me.

I had a natural talent for divination, and I took quite an interest in planar lore, so I focused my studies on those two subjects. I graduated top of my class and now my whole life was ahead of me.

I decided to travel the world, exploring ancient ruins for powerful magical artifacts. I am going to create my own path. I am going to become the most powerful wizard in the history of the multiverse.
