The sun shines down on us like the brightest smiles,
Its rays washing over us like the waves of the sea,
And we can't even consider to avert our eyes,
For in its light we feel truly free,
And we guard the world we live in from the shadows,
And the darkness of it all we fight,
So the world of man was not fallow,
And brought to the world could always be light.

We guard our world and protect and serve,
We fight for our lives, our friends, ourselves,
Those of innocents and those not even concerned,
We go to where no one in the world delves,
Never even once by the world discerned.

And yet we don't seek out fame or fortune,
No, money and recognition isn't what we seek,
No, when we protect our world from all that might threaten,
When we're there to protect the weak.
We do it for the world and its people,
For every child and parent, husband and wife,
We do it for a virtue we mostly all hold equal,
Life.
