BACKGROUND ;
 → kim yejin was born in seattle, washington, as the second child to a pair of young parents. her older brother, youjin was only two at the time, and her parents were both extremely young. however, despite the disapproval of several other people on their neighbourhood, yejin's parents ignored it, and continued to bring up their children surrounded by love. her mother was a korean immigrant who had moved to the u.s.a in her college years, where she had met yejin's father, a young mexican man who had moved from his hometown to go to university. the pair met at college, and quickly fell in love, getting married only two years later, shortly before their first child was born. yejin had a good childhood growing up, as she was showered in love, and whilst she wasn't exactly spoilt rotten, she often got what she wanted, due to her ability to wrap almost anyone around her finger. she lived with her parents in america until she was ten years old, before they packed up and moved to korea, so her mother could be closer to her own parents, whose health were deteriorating. of course, yejin struggled a bit, because there was a major culture difference between korea and the country she'd lived in for the past ten years of her life. she only had minor issues with the language, because she knew how to speak it, being taught by her mother from a young age, but often had a few issues trying to write or read it. this was around the time when she started getting more into music. she'd played the piano since she was a young child, but she began to focus on it even more now, spending any free moment sitting in front of the piano they had at home. she took a liking to music, because it was a lot easier, as you only had to play what was written on the sheet music in front of her, and it was a language she actually understood. however, that was when the school's music teacher approached her and wondered if she'd like to join the school's band as the backup pianist. however, after attending the sessions for two weeks and doing nothing but sitting there and watching the pianist play, yejin quickly grew bored and wanted to quit. however, that was when a spot in the flute section happened to open up, and her music teacher suggested she take the spot. yejin herself didn't actually know how to play the flute, and politely declined, until her teacher said she could arrange for yejin to take lessons. yejin agreed to give it a try, and actually came to love playing the flute, even more than she did the piano, and would stay up until ten at night practicing scales and pieces, much to her brother's distain. yejin had never really found it hard to balance band and school work, and managed to get through her schooling years with decent grades, all whilst moving up the hierarchy in the flute section, eventually becoming the section leader, beating out BACH for the spot.

 → he is usually a quiet person, despite the girls he has fawning over him twenty four seven, the minute he steps foot into the girls' school. in all honesty, despite being good looking, he's never let it go to his head, and actually doesn't really like the way girls seem to fawn over him. he is both socially awkward yet flirty at the same time, as he doesn't really know much about talking to girl, but when he wants to be, he can be very gentlemanlike and flirty, with a smile that has girls melting. he is a model student, and is always turning in his homework and school work on time, and is usually a passive and soft spoken person. he doesn't go out and start fights with people, and if anything, he's the person in the middle who is the peace maker. he is a good listener, and actually has a lot of good advice if you actually ask him for it.
	* i kind of see him fitting as either MEDIEVAL or NEO-CLASSICAL, but if you have other ideas i don't mind

RELATIONSHIP ; beginning / middle / end
 → yejin hates him, and makes it quite clear. from the minute that he walked into the school and had girls falling at his feet, yejin had immediately written him off as an arsehole, and didn't want to bother getting involved with him. he reminded her of the queen bitch of the school who went around flirting with every single boy she met, and yejin just assumed that he was a male version of her. jeno, however, thought the opposite of her. he wasn't at all like how she'd assumed he was, and hated all the attention the girls were giving him, slowly getting annoyed at having to politely turn down a different girl every ten minutes. however, yejin caught his interest because of her hostility, and she also seemed to be the one person who wasn't throwing herself at him, which of course earn her his respect, because he was glad that there was finally someone who wasn't throwing themselves at him because of his looks.
 → so instead, the tables turn and for once, it's not jeno who has people chasing after him, but he's the one chasing after yejin. however, she doesn't really seemed to care in the slightest.

 → she is also the only girl who can actually hold a conversation with him without giggling like a fangirl
