What is Discord and how do I use it?

Discord is a free to use communication platform. It is used to talk and chat with other people. We will be using it to keep everyone up to date with the latest Northcraft information, announcements and changes. Discord is available as browser application and standalone client for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android devices.

Our channels:
#announcements - This channel is primarily used as your source of  information for our events, announcements and major changes that are affecting our player community as a whole.
#general - This is a heavily moderated channel so please don't spam here since you will most likely get banned with out a warning. This channel is to be explicitly used for discussions related to Northcraft.
#off-topic - This channel is to be used for casual spamming and also for all topics not regarding Northcraft.
#food - This channel is not just for food. Post here photos of things you eat, drink, etc…
#guild-requirement - This channel is to be used only and only for guild searching and guild advertising. Please don't spam here. Use #off-topic for that

Please keep in mind that while you are connected to our Discord you are responsible for your own actions.
With that in mind please read carefully all rules below. By using our Discord server you are accepting its rules.

Respect all other members - We are all here because we all love this game. If you want to argue about something please do it by using private messages or you will get banned.
Respect staff - Guys we all want to enjoy this game. All can be done with kind words and normal conversation. There is an explanation for everything that we do. Anyone who is disrespectful in any way to any member of staff will get banned.
Topics about racism, harassment and discrimination - These topics are strictly not allowed here. Any discussion of these kinds of things will lead to banning you and all others who are participating in it.
Topics about religion - Since there are more then 4,300 religions in the world please avoid all conversation related to religion. Religious arguments usually end up heated and have no place on our Discord server.
Spamming - It's okay to have a totally useless discussion e.g. how pink unicorns drink their tea in #off-topic but it’s not okay to do it in any other text channels and you will be banned for doing that.
Mature language and content - Please avoid mature content, because we have members from all walks of life. This will result in a ban.
