  1. -Flora Morph, actual story:
  2.
  3. If I had to guess I'd say it all started with the fires. Not too far outside of town there was this big property with a bunch of green houses behind it. No one really thought about it, no one cared really, at most someone if asked would shrug and say maybe they grew plants for floral shops, or those crap ton of trees you'd see out front of Home Depot and other department stores in the spring. It was pretty much a who knows, who cares situation. I never really thought much about it; the road was out of the way, big metal swing gate kept locked; there were other things to keep a guy occupied in town and just general life stuff. I never thought much about it until the fires. A massive wild fire was coming over the mountain and everyone in town was being evacuated. I remember it clearly, as it was so odd, a half dozen black vans and men in suits and combat gear arguing with the fire department to be allowed up the road to the big property with the green houses, shouting stuff about national security, threatening the fire chief that he'd lose his job; that sort of thing. Eventually they were let through, or barged through, I don't know as I only saw that part in the rearview mirror, the black vans charging up towards the fire; and after we had reached our motel I had seen what I thought was the same black vans driving down the interstate.
  4.
  5. Whatever the case was it did stick with me as so odd that months later when we could return to town; which miracously most of it had escaped the fire including my home as we had little time to gather much up. The property on the mountain however, burned down. So it was that my curiosity got the better of me, and inspired by urban explorer videos on youtube I opted to head up there one afternoon *never go to a place you've never been in before, especially if potentially structurally damaged, at night*. Also of note I didn't go right after we returned, it was about a year later after seeing zero activity and no one apparently going up there to repair the place. So yeah, curiosity got the best of me. I took a drone I had gotten a few months earlier and headed up that way, it was a few miles of back roads, and to be sure no one knew what I was up to drove up to the property its self. After checking it out from the air with my drone while parked near the base of the long driveway by the metal swing gate. No one around, no vehicles, just a burned out building and abandoned greenhouses. Honestly driving up there I was dissapointed to realize i wouldn't be much exploring, from the road it looked like it was intact but with the drone and up close, there was just some of the wall facing the road and part of the upper floor landing. Honestly just looking at it up close its a miracle the wind hadn't finished the job at some point.
  6.
  7. As I said there wasn't much to see in the burned out house and what was left was too unstable to be poking around in. The green houses however looked to mostly be intact, but you could tell the insides had been burned out and now being overgrown by local weeds and saplings. One of the green houses though was really weird, it looked like it had been double paned with some kind of wires between the panes, too burned up and I'm not an electrician or anything so no idea what those were for. And the outside base showed it was built on really thick concrete going down into the ground; much heavier duty than you usually see for a greenhouse, more like the foundation for a house and burned out wires poking out of it too. The inside of this green house there was just so many burned out vines and branches like one massive plant had been in there; and near the center I found what looked to be a burned out tree stump with like a giant bean shaped coconut inside. I picked it up, it was definetly some kind of fruit husk or nut and out of curiosity I took it home with me, just put in a box in the back seat so it would roll around.
  8.
  9. When I got it home I really didn't think much of it, just curious, like maybe I thought whomever was up there had palm trees in that green house; or some weird exotic fruit. So I washed it off in the kitchen sink, getting all the ash and dirt off of it and just left it sitting there after finding it was this really hard nut. And sort of forgot about it sitting in the sink soaking in a half full of water sink. I don't know, I was maybe thinking if I soaked it over night it might soften and I could get it open to see if it had any seeds inside and try growing them; it was a whim. So that night I just did what I do, watching tv, internet, and so on.
  10.
  11. The next day I saw that in the sink it had little hair like roots and a yellowish white stem staring to poke out. I hadn't expected it to grow, I really thought it had to have had seeds inside not be a giant seed; but maybe that's how nuts grow I don't know. I do know that because how big it was I wasn't sure where to plant it, so I did something kinda weird in retrospect, I got a kiddy wading pool, filled it with dirt and put it out in my covered back patio. I made sure to water it every day, got a sunlamp; I was really curious. if it turned out to be a tree I was going to transplant it into the yard, if not, transfer to a regular pot. What I didn't expect was for it to grow its roots through the wading pool and down through the patio into the dirt below it. I didn't notice that at first. It was throwing a thick green stem and really broad leaves; like too broad; the kind you only see in tropical plants. Thankfully this was a fully covered patio with a door and I could add extra seals to the windows to make it more cold resistant; had been intending to do that anyway so i could hang out there in winter and watch my back yard and the psuedo stretch of woods behind it seperating my yard from a street by about twenty feet. Basically a noise and wind wall really.
  12.
  13. The plant grew quickly and in a weird way. I hadn't noticed thanks to the broad leaves that while it only grew like a foot and a half tall, that stem had gotten really thick; and now had a giant, like basketball sized, green bud right in the center. It was one day while examining how crazy thick the stem had become, like two feet across, like a tree trunk, pushing the leaves around that I got the first indication this plant was dangerous. I felt the stem suddenly shake and heard loud squeeks of pain coming from under the deck. I don't normally look under there, no reason to. Its about a foot and a half or so high of a deck and getting a flash light and looking under got a massive shock. That thick stem had grown down through the deck and was rooted into the ground, as well there were roots or branches everywhere under the deck, and movement I saw it, pod like mouths full of needles, and one snatching up a mouse. This plant had grown down rather than up through the deck, and was something predatory, eating the small animals looking for shelter down there. To be fair I only saw the small pod mouths, like just big enough to catch mice and small lizards. It wasn't till one day when the bud ontop of the plant was nearly three feet tall and starting to change color, clearly a giant flower bud, and the leaves now so big and thick they covered the wading pool completly did I get a much more alarming sight. I saw a cat wandering near the lattice when a pod as big as my chest ramed through the lattice and consumed the cat.
  14.
  15. I thought back to where I found it, a large green house, full of burnt out wooded vines every and a burnt out trunk; all of that had been this plant. and the thick double panes, steel door, and concrete floor; yeah; it was to keep what has to be a rare exotic plant in and local wild life out; and now I had this vampire vine or whatever its called growing through my porch. I did try to go online and look up what it could be, but just found myths, although a man eating tree from Madagascar got my attention given the thick trunk and apparently mobile branches.
  16.
  17. I awoke to the sound of glass breaking and wood splintering. I opened the back door to the patio to find several of the windows had been broke, and the patio torn apart, where it should have been was not just thick branches and the occassional chunk recognizable wood floor torn out out. The plant had grown in the shape of the deck somewhat while under it. The flower was now open, it was massive and the blossoms thick, so thick they actually broke the window facing towards the yard and the one behind it as well. The blossom up against the house just curled up. The blossom with its brilliant red with purple around the edges apperance was gorgeous, and I wished I had known it would be so massive, sure the bud was huge but I figured it would get far out. The center however was filled with a golden liquid. Some of the predatory plants I had looked up had something like this, but this hole was so big a person could potentially slide inside it, a tight fit to be sure. I didn't want to try and walk out on the branches, especially as I could see movement underneath, those piranha plant/little shop of horror mouths, which were more colorful now too...closer to Mario's piranha plants than little shop of horrors now, being red, but had these purple stripes on them. I should mention I say "blossom" but these petals were more like elongated triangles radiating out from the center, ten of them, they were soft looking like giant tongues, and lines with thorns that resembled teeth. The ones against the house especially being partially curled put me in mine of some sci-fi tentacles the more I looked at them.
  18.
  19. While standing there I felt the whole wall shake and more of the patio give way and crack facing the yard, the petals against the house slid down just slightly. I ran back through the house to run out the side door by my garage to see what I suspected was true; it was, this plants was moving its self further from the house. Very slowly of course, some of its vines had creeped out and rooted into the yard, but I could tell from the bend beams the main trunk had been growing away from the house. I imagined to get more sun. So keeping a close eye on those big tongue like petals and the bunch of snappy jaws under the deck I went and got a crowbar and pried the wood beams loose from the short patio up against it. One to try and keep this exotic plant from damaging its self trying to grow through nails and boards, and also to preserve what was left of my little patio deck so it wouldn't end up dragging the whole frame off the house. The way the green house I found the seed in was built was making alot more sense, this was a very strong plant, one that grows quickly and will just bust through anything in its way if it can. After prying the beams off and the lattice and getting a good look at it in full, it was so alien. Especially with the branches growing like a jungle gym across the ground under the patio, the way too mobile piranha plant mouths that would occassionally shift about or slowly, but way too fast for a plant, open the jaws up. Who knows how many small animals had fallen for these traps giving off a sweet aroma. Which was even sweeter with the blossom open ontop. But yeah, without the deck there those petals would likely be bent down to the ground, or maybe be radiated out in the air. I jumped back as the branches that had been under the porch suddenly collapsed, the like one and a half feet, but still, as the petals all came down. I hadn't realized it while I had been working on clearing the broken patio but the trunk had continued to move and had been moving towards me. Now it was far enough from the house and without the patio windows in the way that all ten petals draped down around it, bending with the tips on the ground forming a sort of dome.
  20.
  21. I stood back and watched in awe as the vines with the snapping jaws that had been spread out retracted to under the blossom. Walking the far way around, I realized the wood maze wasn't connected to the trunk above ground, it was like the roots of a tree coming up out of the surface.Which genuinly had me concerned about my plumbing and foundation. However I was also worried about telling anyone about this. This was a very large predatory plant, with no signs of it online, whose seed I found on private property I was trespassing on, I quickly began to suspect it was some secret government experiment, or alien organism, or who knows what that they were studying before the fires got to it.
  22.
  23. I opted to leave it alone, thinking the winter might kill it off...in like four months before it was expected to get any kind of cold around here; in the meantime I kept a close eye on it, made sure I had no leaks. One night I awoke to horrific screaming, thinking a kid had gotten close to the plant from a neighboring property, I bolted outside barely dressed, thankfully it wasn't a kid. But there was a raccoon, clamped down in one of the petals which had folded around it. I watched in horror as the petal rose up off the ground and undulated to crush and move the rather large raccoon down; not into the golden pit like i would have thought but this opening just under it that stretched like rubber, a circular "mouth" that pulled the raccoon down into it. That mouth opening at the base of the petal was a bit smaller than the one ontop, enough that the large raccoon looked like it was a bit of work to get down. I also noticed more of these tongue petals were growing, like a layer under the top ones, down the trunk. Now as a reminder this thing wasn't very tall, maybe two feet off the ground, the top opening about a foot and a half wide.
  24.
  25. I will say thankfully my property was a bit off the road and away from other houses in the town with a tall privacy fence because good chance otherwise this would have been spotted and curious people come asking about it. It grew slower now, didn't get any bigger aside from another set of tongue-petals, and more above ground root branches around it that really looked more like a tripping hazard...which is really freaky to imagine if this were in the woods or a jungle those roots would be hidden in the underbrush for animals to try and navigate through and trip on making them easier prey; which I imagine is what they are for. So I would have to get too close I used my drone to explore around the center part of it, and something I suspected from watching was true, insects were being attracted to the pool of liquid and being sucked into small holes along the side, like a noticable flow of liquid. So this thing had a way to eat insects, these vine snapping jaws that look to be for things like mice up to squirrels, and the big tongue-petals for larger prey like raccoons. I imagine cats and dogs would also be on the menu if they got in the yard.
  26.
  27. Out of curiosity I decided to test something, thawing out a plate of hamburger meat I left on a plate just outside the range of the tongue-petals. Normally you can't give stuff like this to things like venus fly traps as they can't handle fatty meat. But this thing was eating warm blooded mammals so. The vines did creep out from under the curtain of tongue-petals, so yep, those were still around for small prey out of range of the tongue-petals. The clamp like jaws snatched up the hamburger meat, it looked almost like a dog doing it with how it bent up and looked to almost be sniffing the plate, examining it, before consuming it. I ended up getting into a routine every few days trying out different meats, found it won't touch smokey flavored or high in salt canned meats. Dog food and cat good it would eat, and seemed to really love hotdogs and fish. I could imagine those vines going into a stream and basket fishing, closing around a swarm of minnows or a curious larger fish following the scent inside. This more convinced me it had to come from some jungle, so I thought it a shame winter was likely going to kill it. That was till the first cold night, with a great deal of sadness as it had become like taking care of a large pet I watched it knowing there was nothing I could do, and because of the possible legal problems and safety reasons nothing I should do. However what happened instead astonished me, the petals rose into the air and curled around the top, the vines retracted into the trunk and looking like some giant sandworm the whole thing retreated underground, the nest of roots around it even pulled in to cover up the hole. Looking like just a pile of dropped treet branches now.

  30.
  31. As winter rolled on, I almost forgot about it, save the reminder of my now gone patio, and the giant bundle of wood a few feet out from my house. I ended up installing some step to my back door to replace the patio. Which honestly kind of freed up a chunk of the yard. But months went by, went to work at the office a few days; normally I could work from home; but servors were having problems. Holidays, parents wanted me to come visit, just a few days out of town. In all a pretty uneventful winter as far as the plant is concerned and despite my fears at the time, none of the time away from the house caused any problems. At least not until spring.
  32.
  33. Winter had been farely mild, also kind of eratic but thats par the course these days. Spring came with avenengce though and got hot real quick. I remember the exact incident more as a dream, as that's what it was to me at the time; what i thought it was till with a clear head I saw the truth. I had gotten out of bed in a daze, everything in my house looked weird, like wobbly colors, it is hard to describe the surreal drug trip I was on as I somehow navigated this distorted landscape of shifting shapes and hues. What I saw in this delirious state as I descended into my basement was what I had found on the internet being called an "alraune", soft short petals over a green twisted veins like stump and from it a golden skinned woman with long fibrous golden hair. I stepped into the golden pool as she had her arms outstretched, as I had just come out of bed I was completly naked. I kissed this vision as my hands explored her back and ass cheeks. Her arms wrapped around me as my dick found a hole, even in this delirious state her lower body looked to me like a pudding of golden flesh descending down into the golden ankle deep pool. She held me close, pinning me still as her hair moved on its own around us her arms moving up and down my back as her hair moved about on its own slapping my back. Some interenal mechanism of her was pumping away at my cock, it was like...a blow job with no teeth or tongue, I guess one of those mechanical pocket pussies...but i never tried one. I...I digress. After I came it slowly let me go. Releasing me from its grip and the straw like hair moving back to its back. I was covered in yellow puffs sticking to my body hair an a sticky goo.
  34.
  35. At this time my mind was kind of coming out of it, the beautiful woman vision before me was shifting to something with no nose, a slit for a mouth, and large black almond shaped eyes and a stalk coming out of the top of the head where a second set of straw like hair was able to move around and cover the woman shaped torso, and stalk so it just looked like some giant pistol. I made my way upstairs, what little my head was clearing ended when I opened up the window to my bathroom. I needed fresh air I felt, but the delirium was back and out in the yard I saw a green alraune with pink hair in a large red flower. The delirium came back in full force as I walked across my backyard naked, this one looked like the plant that had emerged last year but, with a woman sticking out of it with her arms outstretched. Like the one that had erupted from the floor and wall of my basement I just walked upto and into this one. It likewise held me close and the warmth and scent I was erect again. However the large petals on this one rose up an the body lowered down till I was waist deep in the golden pool, it was a tight fit too, the body of this plant immitating a person was holding me tight, the lips of the flower pit pressing against my lower back and up against my ass. Sunlight was shining through the tongue petals bathing us all in a red light. I knew I should have been afraid but, this thing was clearly using some drug, pheremone, poison, something to make me not care and just want to fuck it. Like more vigorously than the other one, this one was vibrating, shaking about, there was this constant suction on my legs and ass as I tried to pump into this one in this awkward position. I don't know how long I was in there, but I passed out at some point.
  36.
  37. When I came too I found myself lying naked in the yard beside the plant and under the petals. I crawled very slowly, thankful the piranha plant like mouths weren't around this time. When I had crawled out well past the tongue-petals I looked back. First thing realizing this wasn't where it was last year but further out into the yard and also there wasn't any humanoid body there but the pool looked to be pulsating. I don't know what i really saw, but the other one. When I got back in my house and got dressed I creeped down the basement steps. I could confirm a chunk of the wall and floor had been torn up and this plant was sticking through, light from the basement window bathing it. It was this light violent colored flower, not as massive as the thing outside, but soft metals and had a massive pistol sticking out of it that reminded me of the hairs on a corn cob just covering it. I could just make out something humanouid and not moving underneath, big black almond shaped eyes, no nose, a slit for a mouth, a thin body with small breasts. In the delirum it had looked so different. However even as I stood there this part was slowly descending into the flower which was slowly curling up, it was barely visible, but still alot faster than normal plants. It took hours and I checked on it regularly but by midnight the whole thing had retracted, just leaving a tunnel leading into my basement.
  38.
  39. Now to be honest I should have freaked out more, but something I had read when looking up predatory plants had come to me, certain ones immitating bugs to make them try to mate with the flower to spread pollen on them. This was just one plant...but it still needed pollinated externally...botany can be weird but...it targeted a person, not a deer or birds or other wildlife, the way it was built even without the delirium was human like. As if where ever this was from had evolved along side humans as their pollinator. Over the next week the plant outside was doing what it did last year, luring in small animals, eating them, but then one day the petal tongues curled up like carpets and made a seal over the pit and the whole thing retracted down into the ground with just these red turning black armor like cyclinders on the surface.
  40.
  41. In a few days I noticed two changes, one the curled up black cylinders were covered in various lengths of sharp thorns and there was a green tear drop shaped pod growing out of the center. Over the next two weeks it grew bigger and bigger till it was about three across. One afternoon however I got up to find the pod had opened when I wasn't looking and it and the plant under it looked dead, just shriveling up, dry, and falling apart. Over the next few days I was able to completly confirm that. The giant predatory plant was gone and examining the pod, it was like a seed pod, with soft feathery material inside. That's all, a day later you guys showed up and questioned me but I feel...I overshared like...did you give me somekind of truth serum...I....
