payne in the butt

basically Max Payne is a third person noir shooter where the titular character can jump in slow motion and shoot the baddies in the air while dodging bullets

painkillers:
Max's health is displayed as a silhouette of Max that fills up with red (maybe Kool-aid I dunno) and when the whole silhouette fills up you die. dying is not good so you have to contradict that with painkillers, you can chug down on bottles of pills using the TAB button, it will highlight some of the Kool-aid and make it lighter and slowly the highlighted Kool-aid will disappear and thus heal Max

controls:
right after opening the game you should rebind the shootdodge button to right mouse button and the slow mo to shift like it is in Max Payne 2, from now on I will use Max Payne 2 buttons for the dodging.

e-the interact button, more on that later, but also if you have the sniper rifle out and you are not standing next to a interactable object you will zoom in
tab-eat painkillers
shift-slow mo
right mouse button-shootdodge
c- crouch
space- jump or roll more on that later

rolling:
when you press the jump button while walking to the left, right or back you will roll instead of jumping

shoot dodging:
you have an adrenaline meter and using right mouse button while walking in any direction time slows down max jumps in the air and you can shoot people
slowmo is on shift and you need adrenaline too but you walk like normal and can shoot with no limitation

interaction:
since this game was made in 2001 aka the year of the interactability boom so naturally you can interact with everything
you can open cabinets,drawers, flush toilets, turn on water in sinks or open painkiller cabinets
I recommend to just slam E on every cabinet after killing the baddies because you can find stuff like ammo or pills
if Max says something and a ! appears that means you have to press E on something for Max to read it or check it out to progress the story with a graphic novel

fixes:
rockstar are liberals and broke the steam release, they broke the sound and you have to install indirectsound and a widescreen fix
