personality : when you first see her, miye comes off as arrogant and cold because of her constant uncaring expression. in reality, she's actually just a slightly awkward girl with a severe case of resting bitch face. before you get to know her, she has a sort of silent charisma that can be very intimidating and off-putting. once you get more familiar with her, though, you realize that she's actually just a welcoming (if not slightly naive) girl who only wants to please everyone around her. she has a horrible habit of constantly apologizing in every situation -- if she does something that someone else doesn't like, if someone laughs at her, if someone tells her to stop apologizing, etc. her adorable expressions and wide eyes are something that you can never stay mad at, which is good, considering how clumsy she is. miye has always been uncoordinated, and its unnatural to see her go a day without breaking something. despite being used to it, her ungracefulness is the thing she hates the most about herself, because the feeling of helplessness is something that unfortunately comes along with it. because of her eagerness to please, she can often forget to think about herself, which makes her friends extremely protective over her -- to them, she's the baby, even if she is one of the oldest. she's also the most sensitive, and feels emotions the strongest. before she met her friends, she always had trouble fitting in anywhere because her awkward personality paired with her japanese ethnicity meant she never had anything in common with anyone, which resulted in her having a bit of an inferiority complex.

background : miye was born and raised in yokohama, japan to two extremely busy working parents. for the first years of her life, she barely even saw her parents and mostly only interacted with the nanny they hired to care for her. when she was five and attended kindergarten, the other kids in her class always talked about their parents, and all miye could mention was her nanny who probably didn't even care much for her. because of this, she grew up distanced from the other kids in school. when she was twelve, her parents decided it was better for her to get educated in korea -- although she had suspicions they just wanted her to get away from them -- and so she was shipped off to seoul, where she lived with yet another nanny-slash-caretaker. miye was always an optimistic child, but she never experienced the kind of bond a child is supposed to have with their mother and father, and as a result became extremely awkward and closed off when it comes to any sort of intimacy with anyone. when she moved to korea, she had a hard time adjusting, and oftentimes found herself longing for japan, even though she didn't have much there. she often felt out of place, until she found her group of friends and started working at the coffee shop.

his personality : he's extremely playful and outgoing, and can always be found with a smile on his face. at times, he can come off as innocent and adorable, while others he seems smoldering and sexy (hOT DAMn). he loves to joke around and definitely likes to not take things very seriously. he's very laidback, and loves to have fun and make others laugh. he can act childish, but if the situation calls for it, he becomes mature and levelheaded.

how your character acts around him : at first, miye tends to avoid him because she's never really talked to a boy before. she usually hides behind her friends, and actually manages to go unnoticed for a while because of how short she is. later on, though, she ends up talking to him -- albeit hesitantly and awkwardly -- and slowly becomes more and more comfortable around him as he jokes around and downplays her clumsiness (something she's eternally grateful for.)

how he acts around your character : when he first saw her, he wasn't sure he wanted to talk to her because her expression made it seem like she hated everything and everyone around her. but, once he saw her talking to one of her friends with adorable wide eyes, he wanted to get to know her better. he approached her, and slowly starts to get her to warm up towards him and his flirty/playful personality.
