Redirected fire dagger

As the attack faded, Jodah was prepared. He tried fire again, this time hoping that his opponent would be worn out by the attack. A set of fire daggers arced over the length of the arena. They struck his opponent in the chest, staggering him.

But the opponent did not fall. Instead, the flaming daggers of red mana entered his opponent’s robes and were flung back at their caster. Jodah dodged one, but another caught him in the arm. Cursing back the pain, he dropped to one knee.
