You have spotted a vehicle driving down the street with expired license plates, the vehicle is occupied two times...
I would start with notifying dispatch that i will be performing a traffic stop and give a discription of the vehicle and what my location is. after doing that i would then activate my emergency lighting and signal for the vehicle to pull over, after the vehicle pulled over i would exit my car and make my way to the driver side and introduce my self then inform the driver as to why i pulled them over as i watched the second person in the vehicle. after informing of why i pulled them over i would then ask for there licenses and regerstaration. after getting the licenses and regerstration i would then go back to my car and run the drivers name through the system as well as the regerstration. after looking up the information i would then right up a a fixit ticket for expired plates. (sorry for any grammer issues and spelling mistakes)
You have been dispatched as one of two units to a resident's home on a domestic disturbance call, you arrive before the second unit and can hear arguing inside...
after arriving on scene i would notify dispatch as well as ask for a eta on the other unit. as i wait for the other unit i would stand off the property observing the residents home. after the second unit arrived we would walk up to the house and knock on the door annoucing ourselfs as we do so. i would then begin to explain why we are there and work on getting to the bottom of the situation seperating the two individuals if needed for one on one questioning. as most domestic disturbance calls are typically couples argueing i would try to help them come to a agreement and put the issue to bed. (sorry for any grammer issues and spelling mistakes)
You are currently in a foot pursuit with a suspect who is wanted for misdemeanor charges. About a few minutes into the foot pursuit they suddenly brandish a firearm but they are not aiming it.
upon seeing the firearm i would then pull my firearm and find a bit of cover if there is anything i can use as cover. after that i would then instruct the suspect to put there gun down and step back from it. if they esclate the situation by aiming it at me or any other officer i would then open fire on them fire one to three rounds to nutralize the threat. how i would justify the actions is he made him self a threat to not only me but my fellow officers as well as the rest of the community.
What kind of search are you allowed to conduct with Probable Cause, where are you allowed to look, and what are you allowed to search for?
i cant remember what its specifically called, i am only allowed to search that item and immediete area and i am only allowed to searc for speciffic things that are related to what i seen to make me ask to search the person. (i really cant remember stuff for this one. i know there is a speciffic search but dont remember what its called and what we can look for.)
