Man with No Name- Disarming Ed and Chet

Jake yelled incoherently and spun around with his gun up and weaving in search of a target. The hunter was momentarily forgotten as the other two pointed their guns at the spot from which the noise had come. In the brief hiatus, he swung his forty-four and pole-axed Jake neatly behind the ear. The sandy haired man was still collapsing when the hunter whirled, the gun flat on his hip, the calloused palm of his left hand stroking the hammer.

Each of the two gun-blasts blended into a loud, metallic clang and the guns flew out of the hands of Ed and Chet. For a moment the pair could only gape stupidly at their numbed hands, then at the grim figure of the bounty hunter squatting to pry the big Colt from the hand of the unconscious Jake.
