  4. notK Trump might still win.
  5. NalaniEkewaka
  6. The electors vote on 19 Dec.
  7. +LoordGloom
  8. ok
  9. NalaniEkewaka
  10. Today is 14 Nov.
  11. +LoordGloom
  12. will they get payed off
  13. NalaniEkewaka
  14. LoordGloom: do you consider yourself educated on the US Constitution

  21. From what I can tell, the Framers built the electoral college to prevent people like Donald Trump from being president.
  22. +Roderick`
  23. I for one one he wins
  24. NalaniEkewaka
  25. Here's a question: If the electoral college isn't designed to prevent the election of people like Trump, what is the point of the electoral college?
  26. +Roderick`
  27. I hope he wins
  28. NalaniEkewaka
  29. Roderick`: your feelings don't have scope
  30. Your thoughts on the electoral college may have scope
  31. If you follow good practices of science, logic, political philosophy, and history
  32. Here is a statement I certainly support: We should either have the electoral college pick people other than Trump, or we should abolish the electoral college.
  33. If the EC isn't to stop people like Trump, then we're never going to use it and it just creates confusion.
  34. +LoordGloom
  35. NalaniEkewaka: a little bit educate
  36. +[Shoegazer]
  37. lol fraud
  38. NalaniEkewaka
  39. LoordGloom: do you think it's plausible the EC should not pick Trump?
  40. According to the intentions of the Framers?

  46. I am not a leader, just a creature. Stick the peaches of my teacher when you follow where they lead. All mysterious ways of nature and I am in to it. Changing management.
  47. And there are various ways to conquer this, monotonous, metropolis my stubbornness is bottomless my fear is this is talking shit and I am wide awake and I am taking names.Do you speak to me like you speak to God?
  48. +NalaniEkewaka
  49. High level discussion is not currently available in this channel.
  50. Here's another thesis: To support the right of protest means, necessarily, one must, at least at times, explicitly support protests for which they disagree with the content of that protest.
  51. If we observe a person or community and observe they only support the right of protests when its their team(s), and are hostile to protests that do not support their team(s), then that person or community is not for the right of protest -- they are for winning.
  52. +[Shoegazer]
  53. I agree
  54. +NalaniEkewaka
  55. Another thesis: If a person talks about a subgroup of a group at a higher rate than the representation of that subgroup in the group, then that person is biased.
  56. Example: If 1 in 10000 protestors is breaking the law, e.g. vandalism, and if, upon asking a person how they feel about the protests says, Well, those vandals have got to stop!, then we can conclude that person is biased.
  57. +[Shoegazer]
  58. Yes likely
  59. +NalaniEkewaka
  60. Example: 98% of abortions occur before 20 weeks. So, focusing on late-term abortions is an example of bias, e.g. Trump choosing to answer his abortion question during the third debate by talking about non-existant abortions a day before birth.
  61. +[Shoegazer]
  62. yes they are white supremacists
  63. Oh I worry
  64. @highdivr
  65. lol
  66. +[Shoegazer]
  67. lol he's already walking back his deportation promises, too
  68. ← doggyTrump has quit (Quit: http://www.kiwiirc.com/ - A hand crafted IRC client)
  69. +[Shoegazer]
  70. lol that doesn't happen
  71. not for "being illegal" lol
  72. yeah they are subject to the same violence anyone is in a nation when they are there
  73. americans live it up in mexico
  74. lol
  75. +NalaniEkewaka
  76. [Shoegazer]: Vox claims that parties are weak but partisanship remains strong
  77. +[Shoegazer]
  78. yes sometimes americans get killed abroad it happens
  79. +NalaniEkewaka
  80. I think an example of this is the way in which Democrats resisted some of the more sweeping surveillance programs of Bush, but accepted them under Obama.
  81. +[Shoegazer]
  82. none of these links are evidence of targeting of americans
  83. +NalaniEkewaka
  84. Likewise, I predict many Republicans will not be too upset at Trump breaking his promises to them.
  85. Because he is 'their guy'
  86. +[Shoegazer]
  87. So much no proof
  88. A tiny one
  89. Yep, lots of people get killed abroad
  90. Good thing that was never the claims
  91. +NalaniEkewaka
  92. [Shoegazer]: you appear to be focusing on beating down the dumb arguments of dumb people
  93. +[Shoegazer]
  94. They aren't specifically killing them for being "illegal americans" like you suggesting shooting mexican immigrants
  95. +NalaniEkewaka
  96. That is legal
  97. +[Shoegazer]
  98. YOU CAN'T EVEN FOLLOW THE DISCUSSION
  99. holy shit
  100. +NalaniEkewaka
  101. (What's going on, NalaniEkewaka?)
  102. +[Shoegazer]

  116. (So, did she want to get outraged at the dumbness of a dumb person, then?)
  117. +manduh
  118. hi shaman
  119. +NalaniEkewaka
  120. (Yes. That is what she wanted. Humans like being outraged)
  121. +[Shoegazer]
  122. Nope. You just are clearly barely literate
  123. This has nothing to do with elitism at all
  124. +NalaniEkewaka
  125. [Shoegazer]: did you see Stephen Colbert's election night show?
  126. +[Shoegazer]
  127. it isn't elite to have literacy in your native language
  128. Like if you think that is a sign of eliteness you are insane.
  129. +NalaniEkewaka
  130. (What's she doing now?)
  131. (She's getting outraged somemore at the dumb person who doesn't recognize they are dumb.)
  132. +[Shoegazer]
  133. Not yet, lol.
  134. +manduh
  135. why are you putting everything you say inside parenthesis?

  144. But, we know what we are for

  172. +manduh
  173. oh. he doesn't seem quite condescending enough to be lani
  174. +NalaniEkewaka
  175. Or, wouldn't it promote good human social relationships if we pretended we were the universe?
  176. Ignoring manduh!*@*
  177. +NalaniEkewaka
  178. I mean, We are the universe
  179. I mean, I am the universe in the same way that the sun is part of the universe
  180. Or rocks in space
  181. The universe partially likes listening to Hawaiian music about human social relationships
  182. The universe partially likes debating philosophy in #civil_debate
  183. The universe is also somewhat at war with itself
  184. Which is an interesting thing to reflect on
  185. Why should the universe be at war with itself
  186. Is the universe a slave to game theory?
  187. Is game theory a necessary byproduct of the breaking of symmetry?
