Professors Ymous & Snyde at Hogwarts

>years after graduation
>Merula and MC have married, found careers working as a potion-maker and auror respectively
>They return to the school after the Battle of Hogwarts to help with the rebuilding
>The two of them enjoy the weeks catching up with old professors and classmates alike
>As Slytherin will be in dire need of strong leadership after this debacle and there are openings, McGonagall offers them both jobs as professors, Potions Master and DAtDA teacher
>They accept
>First day of classes, 7th year potions
>Merula overhear some female student gossiping about the hot new DAtDA prof and what they would like to do him, clearly unaware that their new potions instructor is in fact his wife
>anger slowly builds within her
>"it's really too bad though, I heard he's married" "that certainly wouldn't stop me" "me either"
>Merula keeps her cool but does not forget the unintended slight
>Begins class the next day
>"Today everyone we'll studying advanced loved potions, I've gone ahead and prepared one ahead of time for you to examine"
>Partway through class MC "just happens" to poke his head through the door
>"Apologies for interrupting Professor Snyde, I was just returning the wolfsbane I had borrowed for my lesson on werewolves"
>"That's alright Professor Ymous, in fact you're just in time to help me with a demonstration"
>"Oh?"
>"Here, drink this"
>He questions the vial's contents at first, but relents when she becomes quite insistent that he just drinks it
>students uncomfortably watch in surprise/horror as MC begins to tell Merula how beautiful she is, arranges a lunch date, and then finally tells her that he loves her before kissing her and taking his leave
>Merula looks at the group of young girls with an evil grin before continuing the day’s lesson as if nothing had happened

They get in massive shit for their prank the next day when McGonagall hears the rumors
