"I've -been- here! I let them capture my friend-" She'd promptly point to the astonishing sight of a perfect clone standing right behind the figure. The clone would promptly wave. "So I could follow them and see what was going on. They -really- wanted me, for some reason." She'd explain.

Soon after she made the suggestion, she'd move to stand upright, idly scratching the side of her beak. "I don't usually do this sort of thing. I'm a bounty hunter. Not a torturer."

Kiryuu tears himself free from the evil wall-hands, and as he rolls back to his feet he lashes out with his Ancestral Dao in his offhand. The clang reverberates down the tunnel as he strikes the hands. He is rewarded with the hands fading into a vortex of black....before a black viscous matter is sprayed violently outwards, coating himself, the she-orc and the walls behind them in a black slime, darker than midnight. The half-oni pauses thankfully he was quick enough to close his eyes before being sprayed. He opens them again before looking down to Heat Stones. "Are you....injured?"

Once clean though, he passes back into the room where their new 'ally' is with the prisoner.
"Kafuku." He says to the owl lady. "That will be your name I think until you share it with us." Seems he came to that realization while fighting.

With a heave and a grunt Kiryuu shifts the lids. The scrape and grind of stone on stone echoes as Kiryuu, struggling at first, slides the lid off the sarcophagus. It falls with a loud crashing thud to the side. Sweating, the half-oni looks inside.

Inside of the sarcophagus there is a disorganized mess of bones that lie on top of a bedding of old fabric, faded over time and exposure to the damp conditions.

A bag that shifts in colors from Gray to Rust to Tan and back.
A book bound in red leather
A book with a rune burned into it's umber cover
A book of scaly, black reptile hide.
A glass jar, 3 inches in diameter, that contains a thick mixture that smells faintly of aloe
A small onyx dog statuette
A warhorn covered in engravings of thunderclouds and bolts of lightning
A red hafted wand with an orange orb on the end that seems to emanate heat.

Advancing reveals that the eastern part of this room is unlit, flooded, and braced with floor-to-ceiling wooden beams. The source of the screams are much closer.

Rough-hewn steps rise out of the murky water to the western portion of the room, which is dry and lit by two torches in sconces that flank a stone altar. Shackled to the wall behind the altar is a sickly man in a loincloth with a burlap sack over his head. An alcove in the north wall contains a freestanding suit of plate armor missing its helm.
Standing before the altar are two grim figures: a powerfully built woman clutching a mace, and an even bigger man wearing a bucket helm. The helmed man is jabbing the prisoner with a spear, causing him to twitch. Both figures are clad in chain mail, and the woman carries a wooden shield with a leering skull painted on it.

The woman laughs heartily. "It seems you beat me to the punch, half-elf. But don't worry, I've got some tricks up my sleeve still." In a foul language that is almost painful to hear the woman barks a phrase.

Tharivol rushes to fire again, yet the preparation of the shot is inadequate, and the pan's powder fizzles out.

The woman laughs as the elf fires off two arrows and raises her shield, a magical force expels from the shield face and sends the arrows back towards the ranger.
Kiryuu Yamashiro — Today at 12:26 AM
Aelar decides to pay the laughter of the witch in kind with his some of his arrows....and immediately regrets his decision as they are immediately reflected back at him. Thankfully Heat Stones' familiar takes most of the damage. He pops a potion to heal up what damage he took afterwards.
Kiryuu decides to also pay the woman in his own way while going into a violent rage, swinging his weapon down. Unfortunately both blows are caught on her shield.

While Kiryuu was attacking- the owl would bring her hand up to draw forth a sudden plume of mist. Her space formerly occupied- now gone. Ending up behind the larger woman, she would attempt to stab at her with her daggers, though it seems for no good. Despite the incredible size difference, both would miss.

With a roar a man of supernatural physique bursts through the doorway, spraying dust and debris into the air. Beneath his ruined tabard, swirling runes and sigils dance across an impossibly muscular frame. He swings his mighty hammer with the ease and abandon of a child wielding a fallen tree branch and smashes it into the githyanki.

Kovgan casts some minor healing magic to keep Xavier on his feet before attempting to stab the gaint who crushed him but the point deflects off his hammer.

Kazzira laughs loudly and whoops with glee. She swings her morningstar and tears a large hole in the the half-oni's armour, thankfully on grazing the flesh beneath. She does however, quickly slam the haft of her weapon into the exposed flesh.
The man beside her avoids the magical bonfire that threatens to cook him and shouts loudly. "For our lord Bane! The Black Hand!
